HEAR THE ANGELS WEEPING

Hear the Angels weeping
For the lost innocent souls
Killed in a wave of violence

Hear the Angels weeping
For the lost souls who
Believe in a Pro-violence Alliance

Hear the Angels weeping
For the lost souls who are unable
To stop the violence with compliance

Hear the Angels weeping
For the innocence lost to all
The children of the world

Hear the Angels weeping
For those who gave their lives
To protect the boys and girls

Hear the Angels weeping
For those who have turned their backs
To the light preferring the dark underworld

Hear the Angels weeping
As they pray for the lost souls
To turn from darkness to light unfurled

The Right of No Return

As I skated on the lake, I spun and twirled in many ways that patterned the contours on the ice, I could see the droplets of the rain as they powered their way down through the night

I could see the intricate lines of the truth as they wavered between the rightfulness of dark and light, I could tell that there was an onslaught battle
Of the mighty warrior, that sought to fight for everyone's right

And the many answers that came back to me, bloodshed, reflection and tyranny
The many possibilities that war didn't free, the chorus of pleas from souls', whom
Disappeared, missing, killed, lost in action, those that are always remembered

When the war dispersed, and a truce is made, peace will reign
And the throne is safe yet again, the soldiers outnumbered one by one,
Surrendering so as to ensure the fight within is nearly won

But the war itself for those soldiers isn't over yet, as the leaders of the world
Convey their orders, as pawns on a chessboard that are moved, and
The story itself is swaying to the groove, of the invisible beat and melody of song

That dances over the ice as we belong to unite in the harmony of One dance
And it leaves us, the audience in a beautiful trance, as the security of Earth is
Now rebalanced, and the shifts of the astrological calendar definitely align

This dance brings back memories of loved ones lost, of relevant love and love refined, it brings to mind a pause and a momentary stillness for reflection
As I dance back to the spot where I started in for the sake of rhyme

I remember, in that fleeting moment, that its all down to the rhythmic time
And as the crowd have captured the visible beat, the concluding moves is pretty sweet!

Flowing eloquently all around me, my scarlet costume sparkles in the light
Enabling me to finish and do what's right, while although the battles are still within

I'm doing what's best for me and my kin! I'm holding down the fort of flying hues, paying my taxes and my dues, condolences going out to those of sorrow
Maybe in the future there is hope for more tomorrows.

About this poem:
Just a bit of food for thought writing, its about a dancer on ice, and the presence of war happening around the world, what she sees when she's on the ice, skating, and in the moment of fleeting noise or stillness before the dance ends.

Baby ... Move

You can hang 'round worrying
in that closet of doom.
Or you can stick your foot out
get a feel for your room.
See the sun through the window
in casting light across gloom.

Baby ... move.

You can be happy and live life
in all of your days.
Or you can hang onto your trials
And those immovable ways.
But you know the sun shines brightest
on those who step into it's rays.

Baby ... move.

Don't get emotional,
You'll cry an ocean you'll,
Be in love you'll see.

Don't get too personal,
Superficial person you'll,
Fall into love that you'll be.

Don't get emotional,
A sail on the ocean you'll,
Empty into the sea.

Baby ... move.

Uncle Buck

I am watching this movie with John Candy
He befriends his two nieces and a nephew who is Macaulay Culkin
This movie came out in 1989
A year before Home Alone which was the biggest movie of 1990
I am an uncle
Though I don't have access to my nephews, nieces, and greats
I have a total of 19
I have only seen three since my mom died in January
I got to see my brother's son and his son and daughter
I had regular time with my nephew until I moved out in 1996
I would have to say the 80's and early 90's were my best time with them
Minigolfing, waterparks, movies, resturants, games, video games
In this movies Buck saves Tia from a predatory jerk and hits him with a golf ball
He is the hero by punching a drunk clown and making three foot wide pancakes
He chews out a vice principal for being mean to kids by saying
"Here's a quarter, buy a rat to chew that thing off your face!"

About this poem:
I watch about five movies a week, John Candy died in 1994, but I usually watch this one every year. His other great movies are Planes Trains and Automobiles with Steve Martin, and smaller parts in Home Alone, and Splash.

More than the Stars

Bigger than all the stars in the sky
More than sand grains on the shore
The mystery has always been why
Love is always and forever more

Dreaming of a love this great
A love that is faithful, true and real
Not just pretend and harshly fake
But a real love that one can feel

A love that's felt in your heart
Not just physical games and fun
But a real love from the start
So that you know it’s the one

It spans all time as though standing still
Feelings never grow old and die
Real and forever it cannot be killed
It lives on forever and never says goodbye

Long After . . .

Long after my sight fades even more with the passing of time,
when I can no longer write these verses that rhyme
Long after my boobs and bum finally give way to gravity ,
and the passing of time has erased most of what
you call my beauty ....
Long after my memory fades ..... when names I may not so clearly
remember ...
Yet never will I stop recalling Love’s ember ...
For I’ll love you as much then ,
like you now make me simply glow all over ....
and on being near you,
just makes my heart go beating aflutter ...

The Way I Love ...

The way I love ... need to be loved ... and feel,
I may as well be as antiquated as Da Vinci...
But I dont mind, because that is simply me
and I can just hope to find a man
who can value and appreciate that ....
instead of seeing it as some sort of an oddity ...

I long for that ever tightening but tender embrace ,
such as I hunger to experience and taste ...
His mouth and fingers passionately
caressing every part of me ,
as if saying " I love you" to my very soul
and every inch of my body ...

Viggo Mortensen's words about the love of his life
will forever ring in my head and reside in my heart ...
 Inspite of many things
that threaten to tear Love apart ,
it proves such men exist ...
Their innermost longings and desires
       pursued till their heart
by the grace of Love .... is finally kissed ....
It has awakened me
there lives in these times still ...
Through life's hinders
they shall prevail by strength of will ....

The cares and ills of this worldly life ,
do not have to necessarily weaken us
when the bond and love's strength is right ...
So trials and foul weather need not be seen
as a dreaded fateful blight ....
For nothing can extinguish
the invincible fire of true love's might ...

About this poem:
As referenced in another poem posted here, the actor Viggo Mortensen's words in that interview ( about living in Madrid, Spain with his longtime Spanish actress life partner) were :
" I feel happy living there , because she's the woman I love. I am totally hers and I'm delighted."

me, myself and i

as i sit in the corner of my room
crying, wailing and waiting for a miracle.
i heard a voice calling out my name.
i couldn't tell where the noise was
coming from it was everywhere
it wasn't pleasant its like its coming
from hell. hell was calling to me,
my soul needed saving
and there wasn't any one
to save it. i'm shouting and
screaming help me! help me lord!
but no one listened
no one helped. i'm just sitting there in
the dark room in the corner of my room
just me, myself and i and my shadow,
and only god knows what else.

To all women in the world

Woe not on us
Oh mankind of greatness
May all worship and be adored
Amongst the nature's best
Non compares to your sacredness

Winners we are all
On this journey of short life
Make it joyful in stride
Akin to moon and stars
Nothing dims your bright light

Women here and everywhere
On all walks of life, all over
May this day given to us
A testament that we're loved
Not only today but forever

Happy International Women' s Day

About this poem:
I didn't even know there's a day given to us for International recognition as special day.

So I just wrote this for all of us women

Acrostic on all three stanzas

Thanks to all who'll celebrate with us.

Didn't know but my friend Shay wrote it on the blog

Thanks again

Abandoned

You stand empty.
You stand silent.
Your windows broken.
Your machines scrapped.
Your workers gone.
The rails rusty,
The lots empty.
The lights off.
The smokestacks cold.
The gates locked.
The end reached.
