Flowers and Sky
wave their beautiful petals
the sun beams on them
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Roses glimmering
jewels every one of them
a perfect picture
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Star light cloaks the world
each a twinkling delight
a promise of dreams
Weather
lightning flashing down in forks
rain flooding the plain
Beauty
waving green caress the quiet
hills with nonchalance.

coating the orchid in dew
its buds glistening

Hope
Rough currents take shape
A stream defines its own path
A fish swims with hope
Broken
Pellets break skin, sever lives
elusive peace, come.

Love with rough knuckles
a crooked grin,a big heart
spells out my father.

How things slowly become hazy
Its cool
I've been there, been that fool
But now its all done
I'm smiling again and feel whole even with no-one
I'm finding my feet
Bit shaky but I'm stable and concrete
Im not sorry for letting go
It was best before you become my foe
I'm ready to be out there again
Just a pity you choose not be a friend
About this poem:
This poem is about me - letting go and getting peace after a divorce - no anger no hatred no blackmail just contentment and peace within.Although my ex wants absolutely nothing to do us (me and the kids) - we embraced the situation and moving forward - wishing him good luck with his future.
