HER LOVELINESS I NEVER KNEW !

Her loveliness I never knew,
Until she smiled on me,
O then I saw her eye was bright,
A well of love, a spring of light.

I am not old, but mellow,
Like a good wine.
My age is lusty, frosty,
but kindly.

All love, all liking, all delight,
Lies drowned with us in endless night.
Our heart to heart,
and mind to mind,
In body and soul can bind.

About this poem:
I am a mental health professional. I enjoy literature, Shakespeare and poetry. I am a poet. When I wrote this poem, I was thinking of love of my life Diana. The poems of Elizabeth Barrett Browning expressed my eternal love, "How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thee to the length and depth and height, My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight; For the ends of Being and ideal of Grace. I love thee to the level of every day's, Most quiet need, by sun and candlelight. I love thee with the breath, Smiles, tears, of all my life!--and, if God chooses, I shall love thee better after death.

WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, A SHINING STAR

YO LADY...COME HERE PLEASE AND NOW
YOU NEEDN'T CURTSEY FOR I WILL NOT BOW
YOU SEND ME A MESSAGE AS IF YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME
AS THOUGH WE FELL FROM THE SAME VINE AND/OR TREE
AND THEN YOU PROSTILATIZE ON WHAT I SHOULD DO
LADY, I DON'T EVEN KNOW YOU
AND THEN YOU SEND ME E-MAIL
AS IF YOU THINK MY BELIEF IS THAT I WAS BIRTHED ONLY TO FAIL
AND YOU BEGIN SPOUTING DETAILS OF MY LIFE AS IF THERE WERE NO DOUBT
AND AS IF YOU KNOW WHAT I AM ALL ABOUT
AND THEN YOU BEGIN WITH ALL YOUR PERCEPTIONS
WHILE I TAKE EXCEPTION TO ALL YOUR EXCEPTIONS
I MEAN YOU TOLD ME ENOUGH THAT I HOULD JUST WALK AWAY
WELL FOR A KICK I'D LIKE TO HEAR MORE OF WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY
YOU, THINKING YOU COULD READ MY MIND
AND THE KIND OF FUTURE I SHOULD FIND
A LADY YOU WISH MIGHT ONE DAY REALLY CARE
a charming LADY NONETHELESSS WITH SO MUCH ADVICE TO SHARE
THE KIND OF LADY WHO THINKS SHE KNOWS IT ALL
AND A LOVELY NATURE THAT CAN, AT ONCE, APALL
THINK ABOUT IT LADY, WHAT IF EVERYTHING YOU WROTE WAS WRONG
AND I WOULD NEVER WANT TO DANCE WITH YOU TO YOUR FAVORITE SONG
YOU WITH YOUR ASSERTIONS, CONCLUSIONS AND UNAMBIGUOUS INSIGHT
AND HOW YOU SEEMED TO KNOW ALL ABOUT MY PLIGHT
YET NEVER HAVING MET ME STILL YOU WERE GOD-DAMNED RIGHT
AND IF YOU CHOOSE NEVER TO WRITE ME AGAIN I CAN AT LEAST REMEMBER A LADY WHO TOOK THE GLOOM OUT OF MY ROOM IF FOR ONLY ONE LOVELY NIGHT
YES, BLESSED LADY, YOU WERE PRECISELY RIGHT
SHE'S TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL

WHEN TO DREAD RED

The color red has always been my favorite color of all
it's seen with the green when leaves start to fall
red art the color of fire engines kids love to see speed by
and after a rain the color red can even be seen in the sky

red goes with green at Christmas time
and that's one reason i find red so sublime
to me red represents childhood and glee
and that's another reason red is so resplendent to me

red can make any cloudy day seem bright
and all neon lights should glow red at night
red is the color of my lover's lipstick when we kiss
and if you ask me red should be the official color of bliss

red remindss me of the robins that chirp at dawn
and the color of the cheeks of a baby newly born
but to some red means something sinister and mean
they grow excited whenever the color red is seen

what red means to me means nothing to them
and i don't know from where their sickness may stem
however these people go crazy , insane and wild
they love the color red of the blood after they've killed an innocent child

Fragile

Capable and strong
Survivor of all that's wrong
Yet delicate as linen lace
Fragile with new challenges to face

About this poem:
Often life seems to have all negative intersect at the same relative time in
one's life and no matter how much stamina we have we reach the edge
of shattering. This is a tribute to those people and an understanding of
their unique plight.

roll monster roll

there's a chilling scream
in the dead of the night
and something shuffling
just out of sight
deep in the woods
something starts to growl
and as the moon rises
something starts to howl

the creatures come out
for a big ol bash
c'mon guys and ghouls
its a monster mash

so roll, monster, roll
rock and roll, monster roll

THAT HAPPY PLACE...TODAY.

That place that brings the smiles and the bright and shiney thoughts of yes, today is a good place to start.

A place of que sera sera, because it's going to happen anyway, so, go with the flow and forget about fighting it.Deal with that sh*t as and when.

That perspective of seeing all that is good and positive in all, no matter how much it tries to darken your rainbow-filled day...Ooooh, and it will try.

The refusal to play the games and to accept the plots to darken your day with the black mass of adversity within those, intent on making today a lonely place for themselves.

A filling of your waking hours with the people and places that make your inner glow shine through, and you feel ok about being you, because today you see why others are drawn to your side.

A journey embarked upon, with the excitement of where your light could lead you. What opportunities today's confidence could invoke.

A place of the bold...the believers.

A Home of all that should be embraced, because tomorrow could leave you crestfallen, as many of your yesterdays have.

A day of endless possibilities and potentials, to be clutched tightly to you.

Before you are whisked away to the land of the hidden, the unseen, the insecure.

Because this Happy Place is here....now....today.

So, journey forth,it's guiding light could fade into the shadows, sometime soon.

And without realising it you are alone in the dark...once again!

Time To Decide

As the sun rises each morning,
thoughts arise without warning,
things remind you of your past,
all the things that did not last,

From people who became a friend,
to those who drove you ‘round the bend.
Family who were a true support,
and those you only tried to wrought.

But now as you try to remain true,
you realise there are a chosen few,
who know who you truly are,
and would not push you too far.

A few to which you’d open up,
but with love they can be tough,
not so they can be unfair,
but because they truly care.

Now it’s time to decide,
and on it let your life ride,
to truly give it a real go,
as it’s the only way you’ll know.

That you are a worth while guy
someone who can decide,
every move that you make,
during the hours you’re awake.

So now it’s time to take a shot,
as you’ve only got one lot,
when it’s done they do shout,
so the world knows what you’re about.

Me? Snore?

Sunday, you caught me....no sleep, a cramp in my leg
A computer crick in my back
Yet the morns all the nicer for that nice trip
I just took through imagination
Along with YOU.

statues on the beach

rusting statues coverd in barniccles
lined up in rows along the beach
tetherd not moving
some high some low coverd in sand

some standing tall where they stand
metal objects that stand and glare out to sea they watch
passing ships, passing bye, like floating snails on the sea
slowly going there on there way

Metal statues they are gaurding the beach night and day
many they are not sleeping , bye night or day
rusting metal statues standing tall and proud tetherd to where they stand
people passing saying hello

dog peeing on them as they go
people from far and wide visiting them as the stand and glare

The McDonald's Song

(yes, I done writed a song what goes with this)

McDonald's is the place for me, I wear a paper hat!
I wear a silly uniform and man the french-fry vat!
My face full of zits because the air is full of grease,
And the food they serve has made me very fat! Oh,

McDonald's is the place for me, I wear a cute name-tag!
I wear a silly hair-net and the girls think I'm a fag!
My plumbing's full of plaque, one day my heart it will explode,
And my manager's a geeky, four-eyed nag! Oh,

McDonald's is the place for me, it doesn't pay the rent!
I dropped out `cause of poverty that takes my every cent!
My nerves are shot because I see the writing on the wall,
And my rent's past due, I am about to lose my a-part-ment! Oh,

McDonald's is the place for me, I bought a frickin' gun,
With my rent money, ho-ho hee-hee, I'll kill `em every one!
It's kinda sad that in-no-cents will die in the cross-fire,
But how can you tell when life is hell who is the guilty one! Oh,

McDonald's is the place for me, I didn't fire a shot!
Some rat-faced spy was on to me, and now I'm frickin' caught!
They're carting me off in the white bus, but on the bright side . . .
The rent is free where they'll send me, and I like that a lot! Oh,

McDonalds was the place for me, until I went McNuts!
McNurses and McDoctors can't McFigure my McRuts!
But I don't care because McMeals are all McFree my friend,
Don't McGrieve for me, the rent is free, I am a McHappy Putz!
