A Cs-legend

8 months ago I have said my goodbyes.
You told me I would be back, my reply was that nothing would make me return to the blogs. And now this tragedy has brought me back, so guess you were right again.

I don't know where to begin to describe this legend, this wonderful man that was my first friend on CS, a man loved and respected by many of the bloggers.

This man combined great humour, with great writing, some seriousness,..
This man showed respect to all, a man of great honour.

He was famous for many reasons, but i guess most famous for his annual awards. He would always make sure everyone received one, and from the amount of text he included in those blogs it was obvious he spend much time in preparing them.

So dear Simmo, I think I may speak for all here that you will be missed. We wish your beloved family much strength in these difficult times.

*sorry for not being here to reply to the confusion.
Simmo has passed away on May 30th 2015.
I don't know how it happened. I only know because of the post of friends and family on his FB account.

How To Win Her Heart.

Occasionally a woman may fall for a man head over heels but that may never happen to you. However, there is a way to steal a woman’s heart.

Starting off
1) Make her notice you. Do something that will make her take notice of you. Most women want a man who is confident but not cocky.
2) Take your time. These things take time. Don't expect to win her heart in a matter of days.
3) Pay attention. Listen to her when she talks. Do not just agree with every thing she says. Women don’t like that. Say your piece.
4) Get to know her. Ask her who she is, what she stands for, where she's coming from. She will appreciate your interest in her.
5) Look your best. You may not care that much what you look like but women definitely do. Show her that you take care of yourself.

Hinting At Love
6) Compliment her. A little goes a long way when it comes to compliments. Compliment her just enough to show you like her more than a friend.
7) Gain her trust. Show her that she can trust you. If she asks you to keep a secret, keep it. If you say you'll do something, do it.
8) Flirt with her. Gently start flirting with her. Not too much; just enough to make her smile from time to time.
9) Be mysterious. Women love guys who have a little bit of mystery tied up in their persona. Don't share every detail; don't brag about the things you do.
10) Be considerate. Show her that you respect her feelings. Don’t crowd her but be available. Let her know she can depend on you.

Making the Final Push
11) Impress her friends. Women often want their friends to approve of their romantic interests. Getting the approval of her friends is a key issue.
12) Ask her on a date. Once you're ready to make the final push, you need to ask her out on a date. A date will be the perfect opportunity for you two to learn more about each other, and perhaps to even steal a kiss.
13) Move at her pace. If she's ready to be thrown into a whirlwind romance, then go for it. But chances are that she'll want to take it slower than you will.
14) Fix your mistakes. We all make mistakes at times. You are defined by the way you recover from your mistakes.
15) Be yourself. You have to show her who you are inside. If you pretend to be someone else, she's going to fall in love with someone else.

So there you are. 15 Steps to win a woman’s heart. If you follow this and still fail, move on. She is probably in love with the previous guy who followed these guide lines.

Of course we don't always have the time for all of this but then perhaps that is why we cannot always get the girl we want.

Crazy In Love

Why can't the mind and heart agree in love?

Have you ever loved someone so much that even if your sanity thinks it's wrong, the heart has a mind all its own?

I'm so in love right now and I'm in a predicament for either loving or not.

So the question is, to love or not to love?

I just posted this to prove that at my age, I'm feeling like a young kid. Have you ever experienced this? I never did, only now.

crazy
Author: lindsyjones

yes I'm crazy
loving you

yet what's my option
when sanity sets in
I don't even know who I am

so I think I'd be so
being hopelessly insane
because only then
my heart rules the game

and so it is
if loving you is to be so
who needs sanity, without you.

I so love you...sw
crazily in love with you.
are you? I truly hope so

because I'm in for the haul,
you know?
30 years or so.

More on love. I'm so happy in love

So is happiness and craziness one and the same? Are there people who have lost their minds in love and miserable? I wonder.

Thanks for reading. Comments and sharing are most welcomed.

Thank you.

Had my first date last night...

Went out for a movie with a new manfriend last night. He's a local I met at work and was very polite and considerate: very gentlemanly. There may be hope yet for this country. If nothing more it's good to finally start making friends in this area. I think I must be a bit of a hermit. Takes me a long time to mingle with the indigenous. cool

I do not recommend however, the movie "Escape Plan", although it had very good casting and it's probably the best Sly Stallone film yet. He's learned to articulate! doh

A Letter To An Old Friend.

My dear friend,
Of course you’re welcome to visit me here in Troll Land. No, don’t pay any attention to the foreign press; it is just propaganda. They are just envious of all our natural resources and want it for themselves. tongue

You will be enthralled by our people. Did you know that we have magical powers?angel2 We have the ability to make things disappear. Like now the read it and poof… you read it no more. The scrolls vanish as you read it. I only wish we could make other things disappear as well, but the power is not strong enough. But with enough practice, who knows…

You will also find that we are very skilful people. We are masters of the art in those intricate techniques called ‘copy’ and ‘paste’. Yes, I know that everybody can copy and paste, but you will have to admit that we do it very smartly; better and more frequent than anybody else around. I should not talk about this for we are a secret organization, but I am proud to be the lifelong honorary president of the Trollish Guild Of Copiers & Pasters.

But it is not all milk and honey here in Troll Land. The milk is going sour and the honey has lost its sweetness. So much so that sweethearts don’t call each other ‘Honey’ anymore.

For we have these rat insurgents sneaking up on usholevia the sewers, coming to steal our trade secrets and then use it against us back in their own countries. Luckily the sewers lead through the cesspool and one can smell them from afar.

As the rule of nature, the biggest rat of them all is their leader. You must see him. He’s almost as big as a kangaroo; and he can do a perfect impersonation of a baboon.rolling on the floor laughingHis 1st lieutenant has an obsession with fire engines (the red variety) and bleats like a bloody he-goat! Then there is their new back rider too. Not really that new; for in horse terms we would call her 'long in the tooth'. Another one has a tail like a crocodile. His tail is so long he has to drape it around his body.

Can you imagine a pack of wild rats led like a flock of sheep by a baboon? Of course there are a few other lost sheep in the flock too; bleating along sporadically, competing for promotion up the pecking order. Nature can be so interesting. laugh

I know it would seem that I only write to you when I need help. There is a man in Hamelin who plays the flute and he is reputed to be very effective against rats. Bring him along when you come to visit me. These are desperate times.

Your friend in Troll Land.

Healthy Habits - After 40 - What will you do?

When we're young we have energy ... we have a high metabolism and vigor and muscle-tone. To some extent, this is automatic. Young bodies are growing taller and burning lots of calories. Young adults are up early and stay up late. Their bodies don't tire easily. super

Somewhere in our 30's ... I started noticing it around age 35 ... our youthful energy begins to fade. Our bodies don't want to do as much anymore. We begin to dread the alarm clock and consider going to bed earlier. laugh

If our habits don't change, we gain weight, we lose muscle, we accomplish less as energy needs to be rationed. uh oh

I've noticed the divergence of healthy and unhealthy people over time. One uncle who was tall and lean into his 30's is now obese and risks serious health problems (now nearing age 70). Two cousins (brothers, 2 years apart)... one is still active and average size while the other is now partially disabled from too many years being overweight and smoking. They are age 63 and 61. One friend from high school has already had heart bypass surgery. broken heart

Too many just live life as they always have. They accommodate weakness and encourage its progression. Some have always had good habits.

Many, like myself, have needed to learn better habits. cool

What will you do? What have you done?

Marlene would like it to be know that she is now alone - not quite left at the alter - but seriously let down by a man that has now changed his profile.

She has deleted her profile so as not to cause rumours and to spend time withe her true friends.

Posted on behalf of Marlene.
