My Progression
When I first joined CS it was because of the forum. Then I started getting interested in the blogs. Now I’ve started dabbling in the poetry section, which has come as a bit of a surprise to me because, in all my 63 years of being on this planet, I’ve never had the slightest interest in poetry. I put this wandering about down to my restless nature, but now I’m starting to get worried. When I become bored with the poetry, it seems the only place left to move onto is the recipe section.

Santa Is Almost Due And I Have A Problem
But first tell me, what you want in your stocking? You better get your order in if you have not done so yet. Oh yes, Santa told me that an exceptional large number of people were disqualified this year for being naughty. So if you were naughty this year, don’t bother with the stocking. Sorry, he did not elaborate on what classifies as naughty.
Hmm, what do I want? Now that’s a tough question. I have more or less all the things that I want; well, at least those that I can afford. What I still yearn for is too expensive and too bulky to expect in my stocking. I believe Santa’s budget has been rather tight during the last few years.
It is very unlikely that anybody is going to buy me a red Lamborghini therefore I expect to get the usual shìt; deodorants, aftershave, underwear, socks and so on. These are all items that I’m very fussy on and I’ll probably pass it on to somebody else in the end.
And that brings me to the problem of what to buy for my father. He really has everything he wants. But even when he was younger I never knew what gifts to buy him. With my mother it was easy; flowers was always a winner with her but as she requested no flowers on her grave, there is no need for that anymore. But this does not bring me any closer to a solution.
So what do you buy for a 90 year old man whose only wish is to go softly in his sleep? I don’t know why he wishes for that because he’s still good for a few years. He enjoys a good lifestyle, has a special girl friend (I wonder if they do it
), plenty of other friends, plays Bridge once a week and he still drives his own car.

We have been nagging him for a few years now to get rid of the car but he responded by buying a new car earlier this year. So I cannot even buy him a new set of tires; they’re almost brand new.

This is not the first time that a disgruntled member or ex-member took to stirring shit from another site. About five years ago somebody did the same, only he opted for YouTube signing in with his Google account instead of Twitter. I was the main objective of his rage. He also had a fan base here who spurred him on; some of them are still here and we're friends today. I did not get abusive when some people supported my foe. I just had to endure it. Besides, one or two of the current victims were my foe's supporters so I see this as some form of Karma.
When I finally learned about the ‘plot’ against me I took him on where he was slinging his mud from but he simply deleted my retorts and it left me powerless. Then I did what I should have done in the first place. I ignored him. For all I care he may still be doing it; I don’t know and I don’t care.
What is happening here now is polarising the blogs and exactly what our ghostwriter wants. I believe some of us know his/her identity, some have a very good idea and others are grasping around in the dark but it does not matter. The point is, he or she is out of reach. I don’t know when last one of you had taken an overseas resident to court but I can almost guarantee you that you will cripple yourself financially in the process and in the end only two attorneys will make money. They won’t touch such a case without a huge sum upfront, so don’t even think in that direction.
Resorting to foul language, name-calling, and idle threats is not on and just an indication that you are at the end of your tether. So come on, be realistic. Fighting fire with fire here is not going to help. And we're not in Grade 2 anymore. Pulling hair and sticking out tongues are way beyond us now. For somebody who normally deals with problems as they raise their heads, this may seem like strange advice coming from me but ignore our ghostwriter. He or she will get tired of it sooner or later. And don't take it personal if some of us find this funny; these are the blogs. Learn to laugh at yourself, it is much more rewarding.

On the other side of the Atlantic Lojac failed to update his diary for a few days while Caprikious appears to be the expert on lies and deception, Nice2meetyou informed one and all about their civil rights, Robrt told us what he observed while walking in the park, BadlyDrawn is exercising his right arm to bear, Miclee warns us of the impending doom, Itchy is in disagreement, and one can only hope that Chat does not go needling everybody once he’s found what he was looking for in the haystack.
Back in England
Hoober announced his intentions not to announce anything, Oldie is searching for a lost love, Willy did a survey on suicides, Faveer declared his availability to all girls, Agentbob brought us a badly drawnwritten SciFi screenplay – or so he wants us to believe; methinks it is a coded message, Faveer tried to get a foothold in the local drug trade while a confused Batman feels out of place.
Willy stated a fact about ASSumptions, Moelle has a pain in the knee where it is not fatty, Yonic is confusing reality with a dream, Daniela explains the perception of perfection and Pedro entertained us with two very interesting polls. All these on page one, free of politics, religion, or death notices… and then we still have Molly, Mercedes, Mischief, LucyMaud, Proc, Bnaugty, and a few others to make things more interesting. On top of all that, we still have Redex, Jenny, GoldenGloss, VK and a few others in reserve.
Then some people still want to complain that there is nothing to read in the blogs while I’m sulking because somebody was kicked in the nuts. Hmm, but that is politics, isn’t it?

Don't know why or how but turns out there is an error with my PPS number, which means I may not be registered at all, so if like me you care about your country and you plan to vote a double NO NO, don't take your registration for granted, be certain you ARE.
The deadline for registering and updating your details is 20th February.

Let's Ask Iran And Hamas To Stop As Well
Everybody calls for Israel to stop their attacks on Gaza. I fully agree with that but if they stop, will Hamas also stop? After all, they are responsible for the latest escalation of the war. And before you tell me that this is a seventy year old issue, I'm aware of that, but I'm talking about the current state of affairs. 
Hamas don't care one bit about the Palestinians. Surely they knew that their acts of terrorism would provoke an Israeli retaliation of this kind. Actually, I believe that the current state of events is exactly what Hamas intended to provoke. And remember, Hamas have not seized their attacks on Israel for a moment.
They still fire missiles at Israel all the time. The proper response to a missile attack is to strike at where the missile was launched from. Sadly Hamas uses schools and hospitals as human shields by launching their missiles from there. Then everybody wants to condemn Israel but nobody says anything about the barbaric terrorists trading as angelic Hamas. 
How can we expect Israel to stop while still under attack? It seems that everybody forgot the barbarous attack that initiated the current events. So, why don't we ask Iran and their stooges, whose only declared purpose is the destruction Israel, to stop as well?

The USA cannot stop this war. The only way to stop this war is a regime change in every terrorists state that supply Hamas , Hezbollah and the likes with weapons. These terrorists are not interested in peace. As long as they can lay their hands on weapons they will practise terrorism. It's their only trade. Even if the could manage to destroy Israel, the will just find another.

men's praise
This is when I was younger...much younger.
I didn't realize that men required/need/deeply appreciate (to a psychological level at times) praise from their woman. I am willing to bet that many men did not realize that either.
How could we? Well, I will actually speak from my perspective...how would I? I only dated one woman in my life...it lasted 13 years, but I never dated many women. That is not the way I am wired. I respect a relationship and everything about it. Now of course, there are some men out there that have different wiring than myself; however, I think the topic of this blog is still relevant to you as well.
Okay, back to it then. I didn't realize that men required praise from their woman. It is healthy for a man's self-esteem, his motivation to succeed, to be happy, to be the best possible self he can be. There is nothing wrong with a man being all these things....is there?
The reason why I bring this up is because back in the day, when I was in the middle of that 13 year relationship, I had heard on many occasions from the woman I was dating, she would tell me, "I am not going to give you praise." At the time, I thought to myself, I am not asking for any praise. I am going to continue on with my success and what I am doing in life with our without your praise...needless to say, I was not doing these things for her praise anyway. It was for survival in this tough world.
However...just moments ago I was listening to a pod cast by a certain somebody
...I won't mention his name...and he had a whole show about praise....and how not only women should praise their man, but they should also praise their man in public.
The bottom line...it was an ironic event, and I am thinking there must be something to it...my ex-gf used that exact word back then, and today that blogger used the same word. There must be some importance to it.
