Confucius Say...

Confucius was a Chinese wise man who lived from 551 to 479 BCE. He was a philosopher, teacher, politician, and editor.

Let's look at a few by Confucius today. There are hundreds of them and maybe you can add some; these are my favourites. Though I somehow do not believe he said any of these. grin He was a much deeper man.

Man who run in front of car get tired.
Man who run behind car get exhausted.
Man who drive like hell, bound to get there soon.
Man who stand on toilet is high on pot.
Man who sit on tack get the point!
Man who jump off cliff, jump to conclusion!
Man stuck in pantry have áss in jam.
Man with hand in pocket feel cocky all day long.
Man who lay woman on ground, get piece on earth.
Man who snort coke, get bubbles up nose.
Man who have last laugh, not get joke.
Man who eat too many prunes, get good run for money.
Man with tool in woman's mouth not necessarily dentist.
Man who walk through door sideways going to Bangkok.
Man who pushes piano down mineshaft get tone of a flat miner.
Wise man never play leapfrog with unicorn.

Catfoot says: Confucius say too damn much.grin

Back to the good old days

The Middle Ages were cool. The common folk gathered together to let off steam, sing songs, and make bawdy s*xual jokes which were considered the height of wit, the cruder the better, and if some toilet humour could be added, people laughed so hard they farted rolling on the floor laughing grin

They accepted their lords and masters without question, even though they often mocked them mercilessly, and did as they were told even when that meant going off to fight, or their women being hauled off to the manor for a jolly rogering. They were bewildered or even angry when outsiders said they should work together to change things. CHANGE?

Outsiders who didn’t rock the boat were greeted with extreme hospitality because the villagers were vaguely aware that fresh blood in the gene pool was probably a good thing. They drank too much after a long week, fell into bed haystacks with each other - the prim Victorian age was many, many centuries in the future - and didn’t really keep track of who had fathered which baby, so a fair amount of inbreeding went on.

Their religion only ever became an issue if someone believed something else, when they became enraged to the point of apoplexy. They weren’t interested in anyone else’s point of view - their way or the highway pitchfork, bud

So - they were crudely mocking about sex, complained about their leaders, and were hostile about religious variations. I’ve been catching up on the blogs yay we’ve made it safely back to happier, simpler times!

Be your own man

To start with, I want to apologize for abandoning my blog yesterday; I had a little mishap here at home. Nothing serious though.sad flower

I did not read the comments posted since my last response. I will not be able to reply to each one of them, but I promise to read all of them before I go to sleep.grin

Regarding the blog, I had something to say and I said it. I sought nobody’s approval prior to posting the blog while I knew some would disagree and or object. That is life on the blogs.giggle

But there is something else that is bothering me. Why look for numbers by saying ‘I agree with so and so’. If you want to say something, be your own man and say it. Maybe we ARE sheep.doh

And if you’re scared that your view won’t meet the approval of the others, don’t say one thing on the blog and send a PM saying the opposite. Just keep quiet if you are scared to say what you think. It confuses me when people do that because I don’t know whether to believe the comment or the PM.confused

POLLUTION -ITS EFFECT IN OUR ENVIRONMENT/HEALTH

One of the downside of our progressive life is the creation of so many industries that not only pollute the earth but known to have a very negative health impact in our lives.

In 1970, the US Environmental Protection Agency was formed and last year has 15, 913 employees with a $7.901 billion dollar annual budget.

It was primarily conceived and created for the purpose of protecting human health and the environment during the Reagan's administration.

Today, it prides itself in creating and maintaining the national standards on the enforcement of laws for the said purpose.

But this is only in the US. The purpose of this blog is to create awareness for us all citizens of the world to participate and cooperate in such an astronomical responsibility, after all, we have only one earth, yet so far that sustains human life that we know of. While science has a continued effort and success in finding so many similar planets that can sustain life, it is not clear yet as to how we can reach those planets to become habitable for us human.

I am inspired to create this blog due to the enormous negative impact of other countries who might not have the same programs like we do. I am very aware that in some third world countries like my birth country, the Philippines, pollution is one of the worst problem we have when it comes to human health.

Our population growth is rising fast, yet we are not globally united in this effort that I know of. In fact I am aware how most of us are not taking the responsibility seriously expecting the government to do it all for us. I read the new law under the Obama administration on checking the new system of extracting gas from under the surface of the earth called FRACKING.

Any opinions on how we can contribute to this growing concern? And what can we do specifically in our place to create awareness and responsibility? What would happen if we continue to harm our environment?

Thank you all for your contributions, opinions and comments.

Global Warming Is Probably A Farce

I believe it is just another conspiracy to keep people in jobs. Everything is exaggerated for the sake of sensation and organizations like Green Peace cash in on it by thriving on the people’s fears.frustrated

We only have data for less than 200 years and now some people want to create panic by applying a few years worth of data to the entire history of Earth. It’s like as if you can paint the whole picture by picking up one tiny piece of a giant jigsaw puzzle.doh

Yes, it is a fact that the planet’s mean temperature is rising by about one tenth of a degree Centigrade per century but that is to be expected. After all, we are coming out of an ice age. It is also true that places with a higher population density had a steeper increase in temperature than the norm but other areas have gone colder. We don’t even know if the rate of warming is increasing or decreasing.dunno

Now they concentrate on those places that are getting warmer while ignoring the places going colder and bombard us with selective statistics. By using a different set of statistics it will be just as easy to proof the Earth is in fact cooling down. For all we know, we may be having cycles, spanning several centuries, of rising and dropping temperatures.hmmm

Okay, so the mean temperature of Earth is rising very slowly but we don’t know how much of that is caused by man. Astronomers say that every planet in our solar system is warming up to the same degree. So, are we responsible for that too; or do we blame the Martians and the Saturnians for that? There is just is not enough data to prove anything. confused

Our few factories and car exhausts are farting against thunder when compared to nature’s own pollution. A single volcano eruption can cause more heat, pollution and environmental damage in one week than all of mankind can do in years. Yet, Mother Earth coped with it every time. professor

Yes, I agree, we should be responsible and we should prevent pollution wherever we can but there is no reason to inflate figures or to brainwash us with selected data to proof something that is not certain at all.doh

Hallelujah...Finally the veil of ignorance has been lifted.

Thanks to the political intelligentsia of CS bowing, the veil of ignorance that had shrouded me has now been lifted.
I shall never view history the way I once did. Now I understand. Now I know.

They did it to themselves.

It all makes total sense now.
Any group that felt hard done by, garnered public sympathy by attacking themselves.

It was never due to hate-fuelling rhetoric by the leader of their enemy, or the fanaticism of their opponents, it was all concocted and carried out by themselves.
The foresight to plant a loyal supporter as a fanatical opponent who attended their opposition's rallies years before is truly admirable. It should be applauded.

That this brave man drove around in a van with politically-motivated posters on his van , planting pipe-bombs against his own people, surely is a call for his elevation to sainthood. Especially considering he will surely spend the rest of his life in prison for this selfless act.
And the brave party members who allowed the pipe bombs to be sent to them will surely be rewarded in heaven.
All to make their party look like the victims? Yes, it was indeed a cunning plan worthy of its place in history.

Speaking of history, it made me think of other atrocities which must now be questioned. If they weren't carried out by card-carrying members of the group who were blamed for doing it, was it all a big conspiracy by the supposed victims?

Were the Jews so disenchanted by their treatment by the right wing party in government that they planted some people to carry out atrocities against themselves to garner public support? It makes total sense. And it worked,
Did Poland and The Netherlands arrange to be invaded?
Are there Palestinians amongst the illegal settlers on their lands?
The list is endless and mind blowing.

As my tiny imbecilic brain cannot possibly take all of this in, the only two simple things I can take from this are:

1. The obvious perpetrators are never at fault.

2. Any outspoken fanaticist is probably a plant from the other side.

Thank you for opening my eyes. teddybear
