Preparing for a date

We men have no idea what a woman goes through preparing for a date or even a simple coffee meet up, They spend time and money on hair, nails clothing that more often than not costs more than a meal and drinks, yet we assume because we men pay for the meal we expect special thanks.

We men also have a false perception on what women like or how we think they like to dress.
So the questions are:

For the men, do you think a clean shirt, having a shave, washing the back, sack and crack is enough? And how do you think women should dress for a date.

For the women, how long do you typically prepare for a date, and how much do you spend on getting dolled up?

The mystery of the false leg

The false leg was found by Edna Mc Feckwit, a widow ever since her late husband passed away from choking on an oxtail bone shortly after WW2, she was dumping her left over jigsaw pieces into a hedge when she discovered the prosthetic limb.

The police were called and Detective Marsupial was put in charge of the case. A forensic team gathered the evidence and this was presented to the Detective who issued his statement to the gathered world press.

To the average person it was just a false leg left in a hedge but to a seasoned veteran like Marsupial something foul and sinister was afoot.

Murder and international fraud had occurred; he issued his profile of the suspect or suspects.

Suspect 1: A woman (allegedly) with the mind of a two year old who believed herself to be Miss World.
Suspect 2: A beach hating fisherman who was an avid hunter of faceless cyber entities.
Suspect 3: A Highly intelligent woman with an addiction to tea who walked faster than lightning.
Suspect 4: A Kind hearted animal lover with an artistic and poetic flair and penchant for Chinese takeaways.
Suspect 5: A writer, male with an international heritage that was never seen without something on his head.
Suspect 6: A nightshift worker, female with a need to be “seen to” Likes coffee and being in love.

More clues and possible suspects will be supplied as this investigation progresses.

Who is the guilty suspect and why?

Leap year, baby!

In 27 days you can go down on one knee to the man of your choice and beg him to make you the happiest woman in the world.

So who you gonna pick? What's the worst that could happen, they say no. tip hat

Shuffle sideways and offer your hand and heart to the next man along.

Bowl him over reunion

Play it cool smoking

Talk so fast he can't say no blah blah blah

Threaten him boxing

Romance him violin

Or pour it all out in a letter typing

Who? and how?

Woman For President

Let's face it.  We've seen it all.  Done it all and even perhaps abused it all. And I mean from all angles of political correctness or in correctness.

In reality this will all come down to racism,  which we have been so good at looking at things lately.

And now comes this formidable and exceptional timing of choosing our leader for the coming presidential election in November 2016.

Racist or not I feel and think that our country is in need of a motherly love and direction.

What do you think?

Judas's Betrayal Of Jesus

This is a follow-up to my previous blog.

As I mentioned in a response to my Christian friends in the previous blog:

“I wish to state that the position expressed in this blog is based on a logical deduction made from the premises that I have mentioned.

I respect your position which, I believe, is based on your faith and which may not be in agreement with the deduction I have stated.

The Bible(KJV), in Hebrews 11:1 states:
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

This indicates that faith is based on hope and trust. It is not based on the evidence of things seen, which I refer to as “hard” evidence. Rather, it is based on evidence of things not seen, which I may refer to as “soft” evidence.
Faith is a personal internal experience.

I would like to believe that your faith provides you with a psychological security and sense of meaning in your lives, and I am happy for you all in this regard.”

Also, the Bible(KJV), in 1 Corinthians 3:19, states:
“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.”

I accept that, based on your faith, you may choose to adopt this position and dismiss the process of logical reasoning, based on the principles of deductive logic, which is presented below.

Premise 1:
God is omniscient and infallible.

(i.e., God knows everything - past, present, future,
and he can never be wrong).

Premise 2:
Jesus (God) knew beforehand that Judas would betray him.

(as stated in the Bible)

Conclusion:
Therefore, Judas could not avoid betraying Jesus.

(God can never be wrong, and what God knows beforehand
must come to pass so it is inevitable and cannot be avoided).

Based on the principle of deductive logic, applied to the premises stated above,

Judas could not have avoided betraying Jesus.

(I am refraining from using the terms “free will” or “free choice”)

This is the context for the position stated in my previous blog.

I welcome any relevant comments, criticisms, of the process of logical reasoning presented above which is based on the principles of deductive logic.

I am not disputing the comments made by my Christian friends with reference to the purpose of Jesus's death, sin, salvation, etc. in my previous blog.

Expecting Too Much?

I think I have been expecting too much from marriage. All I wanted was a relationship with my wife as my mom and dad had. But no two persons are the same. Let alone two couples. The permutations are too large in number.

During the 21 years that I spent in my parents’ home – minus one year of military service – I had not once heard a single harsh word uttered between them. Not in front of me or my siblings in any way.

Oh, they had their differences yes; there were days when you could cut the atmosphere with a knife; days when the house was quiet and they would disappear into the bedroom and we could hear a heated but muted verbal exchange interrupted with a ‘shhhhhht!’ every now and then when voices got louder.

Then of course there was the banging of the doors. That was the first thing that alerted us that things were not kosher; and the lack of any music. Other times there was always music playing.violin

But comes dinner or bed time – whichever the first – the two were reconciled, cooing like dovessmitten and we could eat as a family or go to bed knowing that all was kosher again.hug

Is that really asking for too much? dunno
