The blogs seem to be dying, bloggers are disappearing, some of my thoughts on whats wrong and how we can revive this place.

Just a YouTube link is not a blog

A blog not allowing comments is not a blog it’s a statement

Self-pity and attention seeking is for a friend not a public blog

Posting multiple blogs at once is rude

Assuming you are correct and everyone else is wrong is embarrassing yourself

Putting pictures of your children with names and date of birth is fecking stupid

Use the spell checker if possible

Don’t overuse the emoticons, its childish, grow up and use words

Don’t write more than a paragraph, people won’t read diatribe

Remember that some people do not understand English including English speakers

Blogs should be fun and or informative

Politics and religion should really be on the forums, you will get an appropriate audience there

I, as well of all of you, have noticed the amount of blogs of late about gender differences/gender-blaming, gender-bashing and even some gender-loving.

No, I lie, there is no blog about gender-loving.

Now, it is easy to dismiss the more stringent threads which appear to be anti the other sex, these may look like the work of bitter and twisted individuals of both genders.
However, even if the language used is not conducive to most moderates joining in, the simple existence of blogs about these subjects shows that there is a concern out there from at least the minority of men about women (that is what I am going to focus on for this blog)

The main topics…feminism and menopause.

Yes both exist. We are all in agreement about that.

However, the definitions and experience of people regarding these topics seems to vary considerably, from non-existent to off the wall.
Yes, extremes of everything exists. Extremism exists in religion; politics; cleanliness; animal rights; cultures and yes, feminism and menopause.

But should anything be defined by its extreme elements? Most extremists frighten even the moderates of any belief. Moderate Muslims are in as much danger from ISIS as Christians, possibly more, and moderate feminists are probably hated more by extremists than men are.

As seen on Crazy’s blog, menopause isn’t the end of the world for most women. Indeed many see it as a new beginning. And it passes by others without as much as a wave. An extreme menopause is going to affect the woman terribly, and to a lesser extent the man in her life, but extremes are in the minority.

Most people who believe in equality of the sexes are not man-haters, they just believe in equality.

Personally, I believe that in many aspects of life in the West, women do have equality, but it has still to be fought for in other cultures.

And men’s rights also need to be fought for in terms of access/custody of their children; single father’s rights, etc. That is what equality is about, it has to be equal for all.

We are all in this together, we have to either work together for the greater good, or be divided and conquered

All thoughts welcome.

Sometimes I get cranky from my routine life...doing same things over and over again...worse part is when something else complicates that routine and make it worse. Despite all of these tiresome, depressing, irritating and heartbreaking things to deal with, I won't give up my imperfect life...won't mind taking a short break though. Without the lows and downs I could never fully appreciate the highs and ups.

Time will come for all of us, time when we have to stop working, time to let our children have their own life, time to let all broken hearts healed, etc. Many of us will end up alone...I've never felt so alone yet but I can imagine what it would be like .

What if CS offers us a retirement home, in an island. Everything we need, want, whims will be provided for free. Fantastic weather, a home that provides royal treatments...including massage, advanced medical facilities, great night life and entertainment.

Will you sign up and give up the life you are living now?

If you we have to contribute to make this island fun to live in , what could/would you do ? I mean what services can you offer...volunteer?

Then I have bad news for you. He or she may never come. That person does not exist and is not likely to be born in the next millennium. He or she is only a figment of your imagination.

Even if you should be lucky enough to find that 100% partner, there is nothing to say that you will meet the requirements of your target. Chances are that you may be totally unacceptable to that person.

You cannot look for your other half with preconceptions. Humans are not like new cars that you can have custom built. They are more like used cars. When you buy a used car, you have to look at what is available and make do with what closest to your requirements. If you wanted a tinted windscreen and there is none available, look for other extras.

You may find a job with an above average sound system to compensate. It is more important that the car is large enough for your needs and that the mechanics are in a good condition.

Like with any used car, you may have to put up with a few scratches and dents here and there. Maybe even a rattle or two. Oh yes, do have a look in the trunk. You are bound to find some old baggage there. These are things that can be fixed with time.

However, don't attempt larger modifications. If you wanted a sun roof, think carefully before you decide to fit one yourself. You may end up with a water leak when it rains or when you have your car washed.

And most of all, don't make unnecessary cosmetic changes. Bigger wheels will put strain on the diff and change the gearbox ratio on top of it.

There is no need to lower your standards. You only need to settle for something different that is of the same quality.

And remember to service your car regularly.

Reading through profiles of women on my home page I see most have demands us lessor mortals could never meet, non smoker, must like dancing & travel, own hair & teeth love of animals & grandchildren, good sense of humour, financially independent etc etc, the list goes on, having given it some thought I've realised they're all looking for the same man the only one that fits all the criteria

Out last night at a friend of mine father's birthday party, I noticed some married couples that have been married for several years.

I am a person who believes actions speak louder than words and as it has been said by many professional conversationalists, that the non-verbals speak about 80% of the true message being spoken.

The one friend of mine has been married 20+ years and I noticed late last year...since I just moved back in the area then...that whenever he says any endearing words to his wife, she either told him off, or just turned away with a repulsed look on her face. When talking with him, I can see he has that deer in the headlights look. I get that he loves her, but she...well, hate is a strong word...but, she seems to hate him.

The other friend last night, I have known him since he was a little boy, always a nice person. He came from an affluent family background, and is about 5'3" in height. He is a good looking chap. He married a very beautiful woman, one could look at it as a married made in heaven for these two. Well, at least I thought anyway. I noticed they didn't talk much with each other. They were at the party, but that is about it...a physical level. The whole night, she was out talking with random guys. I noticed that every so often, my friend would go out looking for her. Near the ending of the night, I was going to my car, and there she was, talking off in the dark and in private with another guy. Speaking with him, he just did not seem all that happy. I have never spoken with her, so I could not get much of an impression....but, the combination of both of their actions kinda gave me the picture things were not good at home.

In both cases, the men loved and wanted to be with their wives, as it appear to me, but the women seems very distant from the relationship.

In your opinion and from what you have seen or heard, who do you think would be more apt to leave a marriage, the woman or the man. From what I have heard, most always it is the woman. If that is true, why? Is it something about her biological make up...maybe she gets bored? I know once you loose attraction with a woman, it is a very difficult job to regain it.

My daughter is walking her dog in 6 inches of snow. My friend there in Natal is resisting being washed out of her house by torrential rain. I know there's ice and snow and hail and awful stuff everywhere. Even sunny Spain is currently raining on the plain and here too, and will be until what the forecast calls 'breezy conditions' will blow the rain away.

So if anyone is enjoying lovely weather, do cheer us up, or make us jealous, or something.

And if your conditions are frightening - well, you probably don't have electricity to share. Sterkte.

I looked wistfully back at March 2016 and guess what, there were 3 - only THREE - political blogs on this international singles website. One about Japan, the other 2 by a nutter were demanding changes in the US. That blogger's profile is shown as deleted, but the anger and wild wording is remarkably similar to a 'new' blogger currently showering us with violent opinions and multiple exclamation marks.

We've heard more (often foam-flecked) about this guy Obama since the other guy took over than in all the years of his administration. why do the new lot feel so irrationally threatened? Actually, don't tell me.I'll go read a blog if I ever get interested enough to care. Certainly plenty to choose from. Three years ago, 3 political blogs on TWO screens. Just on our first screen on an
international
singles
website
there are 16 political blogs about the USA. Overkill.

More to the point, though, spotted a few names back then who are MIA, does anyone have good news about Dedovix, Catfoot, Vikingson, Jarred, Abby, GoldenGloss, Ccincy, Unlaoised, Pedal, Ed1941? I know Chrome is getting married, Mapmaker I wish would come back occasionally even if he is violently allergic to US politics, and oh we miss you Pat8lanips. If it is just the political thing keeping you lot away, we can raise a petition or something.
