Does a man deserve to live after he had purposely and intentionally killed another man? I hear this nonsense all the time about his constitutional right to live but what about the rights of the person he had killed?

I believe that every person has the right to live and therefore has the right to defend his own life; or the life of another, providing that he does not use excessive force.

Killing somebody by negligence and/or recklessness should be heavily punished according to the circumstances. We cannot claim an accident if we were reckless or negligent.

I don’t believe that crimes of passion or things done on the spur of the moment are any different than any other crime. If you have intended to kill at the time, you should pay for that crime.

To me attempted murder is no different than murder. Doing a bad job is no mitigation. It is the intent that matters; not the result.

No, I don’t think a man deserves the right to live if he had willfully killed another; no matter what the reason. He had forfeited that right when he took it away from another.

Ok I know i've been pre-occupied a bit as of late.. But that doesn't mean I didn't notice whats been going on around here.

Today, I guess its time for me to speak up once again.
Not so long ago, many bloggers have left this site.. some by free will others were made to leave by Cs. Whatever the reasons were are of no importance at this moment in time. but, before that day had come we know their were heavy fights going on around here. I also remember how many of you have asked, even begged, or demanded peace would return on these pages that we all love.
Peace has been restored by Cs officials. And I for one thank them for that. Ever since that day, we were able to return to our normal way of blogging. Some created heartwarming stories, others shared poems, relegious, or scientific blogs. Some were light hearted, other plain stupid.. but we had some very funny ones as well. Some were popular, others were not. New members have joined and started sharing their stories with all of us.
These pages have been a nice place once again. I wish we could keep it that way. Don't let jealousy or misunderstandings lead us to create blogs that are only their to place sneaky remarks at others. Follow your own advice that all of you have given me at one moment in time.. Ignore the ones you don't like and focus on the ones you do like. Feel free to debate, or to express your opinion about all topics that are placed here. But try not to insult another blogger on a personal level.

Let us all do what we claim to be here for.. let us enjoy ourselves. I do hope and believe we are all here to have fun and that nobody here considers having fights or arguements is a way to entertain themselves.
Don't forget, we are all unique, with our own qualities and flaws. We come from different backgrounds, different cultures... But that doesn't mean the one is better then the other. Let us respect eachother and learn from eachother. Don't let us be put down because someone else has a moment of glory.. Let us be motivated to become better ourselves because of that. Better by improving our own skills, not by bringing someone else down.

He/She is not my "type" .. ..
These are often words used by people who reject someone from being a part of their lives based on pre-conceived ideas of what their partner should be like.

By doing that, "we" are excluding a whole spectrum of people from our sphere (of which we are the centre) whether it be as a result of prejudice, vanity or maybe even imitation (eg. mom and dad have a wonderful marriage, therefore I want someone like mom/dad).

Surely when we reject advances based on these criteria which we have set, it creates a black hole through which people are removed from your sphere, never to impact on it. Is it possible that by doing this, "we" are cheating ourselves of the opportunity to learn, to grow and to enrich our lives, through interactions with diverse peoples! . Is it possible that the diversity of our interactions could make the "true connect" so much more real and viable in light of our experience with others.

On the other hand we have been trained, especially in recent years, to decide what you want, be specific about it, develop a plan, and then go out and achieve it . Being decisive about what characteristics you are looking for in your perfect partner, means that you don't waste your time on people who are "unsuitable"

So what happens if there is a true connect, but the person does NOT comply with the criteria which you have laid down
To what extend are we then willing to set aside our pre-conceived notions or do we turn our backs and say

I would like to take this time to give thanks to all the men and women of the United States Military who put thier lives in harm way to protect our great country, so that we may live in the land of the free and the home of the brave.I give thanks to you and keep you in my prayers.Remember Our veterans and all who gave their lives for our country.May God Bless

Yes my fellow bloggers, I think it is high time that I came out of the closet and admit a few things.

Yes
I like the animal that blogs, his intelligence should not be ignored, and yes he does go too far at times with some remarks, but all in all his blogs r good reading.
Yes
I like the lady from somewhere over the rainbow, a bit testy at times, but clever humour at others, also I like the Norwegian Marvel, whose humour is sometimes missed in his writings, he can be very forthright and quirky, but I like him anyway. I also like a cup of coffee, keeps me going and thinking what next. Then there is the Bulgarian beauty with brains, always thoughtful and insightful, then there is the one who has just returned from holidays, she is a breath of fresh air, and a lady sitting down who has a sense of humour is always fun, of course I cannot forget the snowy haired one who loves a beer from down under, he has come on in leaps and bounds recently and is a good down to earth all round nice guy, his mate would be proud to see him using his name. I can’t forget the tree hugger, ah what a lady, she sees only the positive in us all, and there is a lady that spends some time in Mauritius but now in Sth Africa, what a gem she is. It would be remiss of me if I didn’t admit to liking the queen of jokes, all 12 of her, she makes me smile with her jokes, almost forgot the Greek God himself, took me a while to warm to him, but I have, I guess u just have to understand his thinking, of course the resident DJ from N.Z is always ready with a song or 10. I even like the monster with the dog, he is sometimes funny, and thoughtful too.
Although she has gone, the plain one was always good for a quick pick me up, as is the one whose actions speak louder than words, the stone shall not throw any so I like him to, number 7 is good as is the one whose name suggests a living place, the lovely lady poet is great value as is the guy whose name I can’t pronounce or even write but starts and ends with an I and i cant forget the St. from S.A. always good value.
In fact there r many, many more I like, but word restrictions do not allow me the space to hint at who they r. If I have missed u, pls do not worry, because I guess know I like u all.

I love my new girlfriend and she loves me… But I am also in love with the mother of her son and she is in love with me too. I don’t want to lose either of them.

Should I tell them about each other?

Or should I wait until they discover about each other?

Maybe I can marry both. These things happen in Africa.

It is not that I'm greedy; I just like a lot while I enjoy the variety.

I’m sure most of us have viewed a few profiles while on dating sites. Sometimes we just scan it briefly or maybe only partially while other times we read it attentively. Sometimes you may read it even several times.

What is it that makes you pay more attention to a specific profile? Was it the picture or was it some word(s) in there that captured your attention. Is it some special characteristic that you seek?

And most of all; what does your profile try to tell us. What is the single most important thing you try to convey when a person read your profile or do you think that a good looking picture is enough?
