Friendship Free Of Religious Barriers

I've distant myself from friends for a long time now, only occasionally see one or two when I feel so bored or when they unexpectedly pay me a visit.

My life is home with my kid, work, sleep , chat with my BF and Blogs ...sounds perfect to me.laugh

Yesterday a friend called and told me that 2 old friends were asking about me and they would love to come visit me. I said Ok and she asked if it's OK to bring some members in their church so they can have a prayer meeting in my place , I was reluctant but said OK anyway.
Woke up early today, earlier than usual so I can prepare. She said about 10 of them will come . We cooked lots of Filipino foods , I baked some cake, lots of food and I was worried I will be left with lots of left oversdoh

7pm, 2o persons came along with their church pastor wow laugh out of 20, I only know 5 but it went great,

They had their prayer meeting then we had dinner and almost finished all the foods . That was unexpected but I felt happy that these people graced my home with their presence . It's a fun night and I felt very much human entertaining them.laugh

My son is Muslim and was happy having them and listening to them sharing about their faith and beliefs.

They all left at 11:30 pm and left me with an invitation to their church tomorrow, I nicely declined but promised to visit them sometimes .grin

Hope you're all having a lovely day/nightteddybear

Its never funny

when you break a bone, I broke my knee the other week.

A broken kneecap happens if the small bone called the (patella) that rests above the front of the joint breaks. barf

It really was painful and I went unconscious in the ambulance.
Eventually when I came round I was lying on a gurney, my leg had been placed in a cast and elevated . The Doctor said I had been quite lucky and had quite a bad break he pointed to the bright light wall and said my x-ray was very explicit.

I looked to the wall to see what I can only describe as about ten student
Nurses all quite attractive too may I add. They were all nodding intently, gasping each other and groaning low moans. As I eventually saw my x-ray through a gap in the group of beauties it had become clear why they were all fussing and looking at me so intently wow

You can copy and paste the link below to see the x-ray. I wouldn't post it as some of the ladies or even gents of CS may find it to graphic.

Matchmakers Anonymous

My name is Elegsabiff, and I am a matchmaker. I talk to a woman in Gotham City, she seems nice, I suggest a man in Metropolis. They are both horrified but surely, surely, both single and in the same country, they need someone to point out that they are both single and in the same country? On a social website. Where every time we log in we are presented with every single of the opposite sex within 500 miles.

Oh. Right. blushing

I see a man giving advice to a woman on a blog, and I leap in to suggest they should be together - oh no, hang on, that's why I'm here. To learn it is NONE OF MY BUSINESS.

This is hard. Bring me coffee! coffee

Name a song and by who,.................

That you think, best describes you, should be interesting,................head banger

current politics

When it comes to politics, I try to keep an open mind. But, I do like to express how I feel when I see something.

What do I mean when I say keep an open mind, primarily....I watch all the main news networks, Fox, CNN, and MSNBC.

There is only one that I have noticed lately that is breaking down the background of Trump's recent picks to fill important roles in his presidency.

The common theme I see going on is racism.

There is no doubt, Trump won.

With the way he won....was concerning to me.

now...

With who he is surrounding himself with...is even more concerning.

BTW...

I like that little story that he shared at one of his rallies...

The story where that lady picks up the ill snake along the road and brings it home to nurse it back to health. The snake ends up biting the lady and kills her. The snake says, "You knew I was a snake."

Winter walkies

In summer I come home, put down my handbag, change my shoes, pick up the lead, and we’re off. One minute.

In winter I come home, put down my handbag, change my shoes for acrylic-fur-lined gumboots, put on my heavy walking jersey with acrylic fur lining and fur-lined hood, get the dog’s coat, feed her into that while she wriggles and hops from foot to foot with impatience, put on my greatcoat, find my gloves, pick up the lead, and we’re off. Ten minutes.

Three degrees C today in my corner of Scotland. What YOU wearing?

Just as a break from the weather, I offer the whether ... because it's November 8th and there's an election going on, there are some political jokes on the second page, where they can only offend someone who goes looking to be offended. grin

They're pretty good, actually. I thought.

What would you do????

You met someone and have gone out a few times. You enjoy seeing this person and have fun when you go out, however, that person is 12 years younger than you and they have a 6 year old kid. Your kids are grown and well, your youngest is in high school and you don't really want to go down that road again. Do you...

A. keep seeing the person because you have a good time when your with them and don't worry about the future at this point.

B. End it before you start to develop feelings, because you know there is no way you want to deal with kids again.

C. Keep dating and see if you change your mind about the kid, even though you know the chances of that are slim to none.

D. Other....
