What is Man? (an original poem from a book of Inspiration that I published in 2016)

What is MAN?
The image and likeness of God,
A servant of Jesus the Lord,
The evidence of His word.

What is Man?
Nothing but ashes and dust,
Nothing but malice and lust,
Nothing that any should trust.

What is MAN?
Nothing but woeful and vain,
Nothing is he, but inane,
Nothing does he, but complain.

What is MAN?
Nothing of value from birth,
Nothing of any great worth,
Nothing but scourge of the earth.

What is MAN?
Nothing but lost and alone,
Nothing for sin, can atone,
Nothing but dead in his own
Sin.

What is MAN?
NOTHING.
Nothing at all, without Jesus.

About this poem:
“What is man, that you should magnify him, that you should set your mind on him, that you should visit him every morning, and test him every moment?”

Genesis

If you could only remember who you really are,
being here, so near and so far,

Imagine something divided by two, then divided eternally,
that's me and you, you may not see,

For this "REALITY", blinds you purposefully,
and it's intention is to set you free,

To experience who you really are, from outside of
yourself, and from afar,

Just one Entity finding itself and being free.

The Right of No Return

As I skated on the lake, I spun and twirled in many ways that patterned the contours on the ice, I could see the droplets of the rain as they powered their way down through the night

I could see the intricate lines of the truth as they wavered between the rightfulness of dark and light, I could tell that there was an onslaught battle
Of the mighty warrior, that sought to fight for everyone's right

And the many answers that came back to me, bloodshed, reflection and tyranny
The many possibilities that war didn't free, the chorus of pleas from souls', whom
Disappeared, missing, killed, lost in action, those that are always remembered

When the war dispersed, and a truce is made, peace will reign
And the throne is safe yet again, the soldiers outnumbered one by one,
Surrendering so as to ensure the fight within is nearly won

But the war itself for those soldiers isn't over yet, as the leaders of the world
Convey their orders, as pawns on a chessboard that are moved, and
The story itself is swaying to the groove, of the invisible beat and melody of song

That dances over the ice as we belong to unite in the harmony of One dance
And it leaves us, the audience in a beautiful trance, as the security of Earth is
Now rebalanced, and the shifts of the astrological calendar definitely align

This dance brings back memories of loved ones lost, of relevant love and love refined, it brings to mind a pause and a momentary stillness for reflection
As I dance back to the spot where I started in for the sake of rhyme

I remember, in that fleeting moment, that its all down to the rhythmic time
And as the crowd have captured the visible beat, the concluding moves is pretty sweet!

Flowing eloquently all around me, my scarlet costume sparkles in the light
Enabling me to finish and do what's right, while although the battles are still within

I'm doing what's best for me and my kin! I'm holding down the fort of flying hues, paying my taxes and my dues, condolences going out to those of sorrow
Maybe in the future there is hope for more tomorrows.

About this poem:
Just a bit of food for thought writing, its about a dancer on ice, and the presence of war happening around the world, what she sees when she's on the ice, skating, and in the moment of fleeting noise or stillness before the dance ends.

When you're gone!

There are people that I know, who refuse to grow,
constant attention seekers, don't know where they'll go,

They believe in themselves, they think they know, it all,
ultimately, they fall!

So, never judge, never be, never say what you cant see,
life goes on when you're gone,

For tomorrow you will only be, a memory!

To all women in the world

Woe not on us
Oh mankind of greatness
May all worship and be adored
Amongst the nature's best
Non compares to your sacredness

Winners we are all
On this journey of short life
Make it joyful in stride
Akin to moon and stars
Nothing dims your bright light

Women here and everywhere
On all walks of life, all over
May this day given to us
A testament that we're loved
Not only today but forever

Happy International Women' s Day

About this poem:
I didn't even know there's a day given to us for International recognition as special day.

So I just wrote this for all of us women

Acrostic on all three stanzas

Thanks to all who'll celebrate with us.

Didn't know but my friend Shay wrote it on the blog

Thanks again

Your creation!

Did you ever feel detached from the human race?
There was only you, nothing to face?
You know that it's true?, there IS only you!
You exist to exist that's true,
And all that you'll be and all that you'll see,
Is all your creation, how you want it to be!

Why Poetry?

To feel too much is surely a tragedy;-
To feel not at all is a monstrosity.

Poets are sensitive, (this is a fact);
And that's a statement I won't retract.

So when you click, to read words deferred;
Some previous suffering may have occurred.

It's in the nature of Man, to make his art;-
And in most cases, it's from the heart.

We make our art to tell you something;-
There are times It'll strike as lightning.

So read words here with perception;
Feel the poet's skill and direction.

Thus poets must write to cure past ills;
We swim in words like fish have gills.

And words retained cause indigestion;
So write them down - (just a suggestion).

Some must pray, and some must grovel;-
And some must write in verse forms novel.

For me, I don't believe in much;-
(Though I have the poetic touch).

Metempsychosis of the poet's soul?
(Well, it may at least be possible).

Reincarnation? - mere poets as mystics?
Through the agencies of Quantum Physics?

And if it is true there's nothing after,
Then I will have the final laugh here.

Is Reality as deep as we imagine?
Or is Nature just a fractal pattern?

Born

Those magical feelings we used to feel,
fascination, anticipation, a dream becomes real,
Butterflies fluttering inside, a feeling you just can't hide,
Wonderment at what you see, not knowing what could
or could not be,
Excitement just being here, with no illusions,
nothing to fear,

And a helping hand to help you stand,
A loving embrace to keep you safe,
Not knowing what tomorrow will bring,
Just being here, a wonderful thing.

Who knows?

Tomorrow could be, it could, be, what we envisage, what we
want it to be,

Tomorrow can be a replication of today, we can think, we can
be, we can swim or we can sink,

Tomorrow could be unique, find all we want, what we seek,
nothing is out of reach,

Something we can't teach, but,
If we don't understand the process, we get lost, more or less.

Tomorrow?

Tomorrow becomes today and yesterday fades away, so the present is how we exist, there's no other way, there's nothing to resist, we can't bring back the past, and the future is not meant to last, for it suddenly becomes the.............. past.

So, exist in harmony, for now we are free to.................be!
