“This leaf
Knows what
Is love –
Shares the bliss
When buds
Like twins
Cheer the spring
With chirps
And odes; –
*** Root ***
Here comes
The shy mare
To stir
In waves
The smell of
Meek grass,
While bright
Birch trees
Play knights; -
*** Root ***
I know
Not less,
Nor more –
But all
It takes
To write
Each song
For one
To miss – ”

Old branch,
In a
Mourn song, -
Wings float
In the air; –

Through the cracks,
Small springs
Keep buds
In foil –
While keen,
Red ants
Move up
And down
Sap milk; -
*** Root ***
In these
Moon-like
Shapes of
Pale curls
And leaves
In furls,
Nurse maids
Wear gold
Ray skirts – ”

“In the lair
Of the mole,
Few crumbs
Left from
Last feast; –
No one
To dare
Walk in
This maze; –
*** Root ***
All the worms
Of the earth,
Must have
Known of
Such beast,
- For in
Their scare,
Sink deep,
To the east; -
*** Root ***
But the mice
- Lead the way
Out of
These caves,
Just as
If each,
Though dead,
To the light

To watch
Old trees
I miss –

Here, the crows
Catch dreams
