A Journey

Gentle spiral to the ground.
In circle motion round and round.
Dancing rhythm of its own.
Destination unknown.
Gust remove others.
Legions follow.
Leaving cover.
Soon replaced.
Seasons defaced.
Hint of color.
All so true.
Reaching to skies of blue.

MIRAGE Of A Man

Nobody saw, he came and lingered
a pencil held between the fingers
that wrote the diary of days
Don't dot the t or cross the I;
and think, before you ask why
should it be thus for some

A vapour wearing casual clothes,
they are disdained by someone's nose
But at the start with cry of birth,
a celebration held with thirst,
and quenched that moment
when he was born to this.

Like shadows, mist, upon the land
he seeks if some would understand.
Surrounded in that moody state
while at the fair, or on the gate;
the inner yearning long to see
that someone notices, someone..

But what to do is ours alone,
at birth the celebration there
it wanes when older we become
until success alone or kin
marks company for us
for poor, and failed, forsaken

So life its page and book
by tear, and sigh, and prayer
with hope and strife
like seeds into the air
a man of years and seasons
ponders out the reason

A Nostalgic look at time

Do you remember way back when life was much more simple then.

With Grandma’s stories, nursery rhymes. Gas was but just a dime.

With Model_ As and Model T_ fords we ran the roads always towards.

Atlantic city old steal pear diving horses and nickel beers.

We always had time to stop and see all the great places of history.

Like old yellow stone canyon, and old Times Square we always had time to stop and share.

But now my friends those days are gone because the time she marches on.

Now the plains and cars are faster and fuel prices. Well they’re a disaster.

But maybe there will come a day when things will go back to the simple way.

It would be something grand to see if we could go back in history.

For all Elvis fans #2

Now we friends had believed in a dream Never Ending,
and It’s A Sin that we thought this to be.
For nothing is Today, Tomorrow And Forever.
Even a U.S. Male such as he;
Slowly But Surely the dream grew dim,
And A Little Less Conversation was vent.
‘Til the death of the ‘Bear’ Paralysed us all.
The Flaming Star it was spent.

One Night in answer to a fervent prayer,
I Believe an Angel of mercy did I see.
The ‘Bear’ full of Trouble, Crying In The Chapel,
and said “come, Return To Sender with me”;
Now Don’t Ask Me Why or Tell Me Why,
for I Just Can’t Help Believing.
How The Web Was Woven on Such A Night,
never to hear him say “I’m Leavin”.

So the Guitar Man in Blue Suede Shoes,
who was Raised On Rock ’n Roll.
Was raised to the place of Amazing Grace,
where it’s said they Don’t Be Cruel to no soul.
In the Early Morning Rain the world stood crying,
All Shook Up by the grief that it bore.
And friends cried “Lord You Gave Us A Mountain To Climb,
now the Teddy Bears’ not among us no more.

Now since the death of the ‘Bear’, bad Suspicious Minds,
have said (he was the) Devil In Disguise.
A drug crazy Hound-Dog who was raised In The Ghetto.
Rest easy King Creole, they’re lies;
For there’s Too Much, Peace In The Valley,
now that The Wonder Of You is not king.
And with only your Memories, I feel So Bad,
now That’s When Your Heartaches Begin.

For A Fool Such As I who was Stuck On You.
And who’d Still Gotta Lotta Livin’ To Do.
Now has One Broken Heart For Sale,
‘cause Way Down it’s A Mess Of Blues;
But I Believe In The Man In The Sky,
and though It Hurts Me not to hear your refrain.
If I can Dream ‘til my life I Surrender,
It’s No Secret we shall meet once again.

Fine

You invaded my dreams again~
A little blip into my subconscious.

I am fine~
Other than wondering why I think I am fine.

I was so fine~
Then why do I let you creep into my dreams?

I can go about my life~
Knowing that you are not the solution to my equation.

Yet you slip in~
When least expected when my guard is down.

Funny how~
A chance memory brings you back again.

More mortar~
On that wall, a few more layers for defense.

I will be fine~
Until you creep into my dreams again.

Early One

Darkness lit by breaking dawn
Shimmering light on water born
Profiling swells of the morn
And yet to come

Crystal clear but has a bite
Residue from a dark cold night
Wetty on nice an tight
Time to get undone

Paddling out through the break
Ocean creatures are awake
Hope they've eaten for my sake
Cant wait for the sun

A light offshore holds the face
Taking off its no race
Trying to find that special place
Perfection no glum

Slicing through sheets of glass
Visions brewing of the past
Memories that will always last
Forever to come.

Summer Love ...

Will summer's love transcend
Or will it fade like the last red pale rose.
Clinging to the bush..
Destined to die a slow and lonely death..

Can summer's love reach beyond the supple green branches
full of life and hope
To the crumpled dying burnt orange
leaves lying on the ground..

Can summer love survive ..
The cold dreary November rain..
Can summer love linger
Through autumn's dreary night..

Will the heady scent that lingered
through summer's majestic reign,
Fly away with the birds, or will it remain,
And see us through autumn,s cold dark past.
And can it last..

* * *

See red wings of sunset dying out,
Wattles slumber tranquilly in fog.
Don’t be sad, oh my hut, in the quiet
That again we’re alone and alone.

Moon is cleaning in thatched roof
Horns of hers set in frame of blue.
Didn’t follow her, made no move
To where haystacks remotely stood.

Know that years will dull the blow,
And this anguish like years will go.
And her lips and her innocent soul
She will spare for some other boy.

Far from strong is who asks for joy,
Only proud in strength keeps afloat.
And that other will crumple and toss,
Like horse collar that’s eaten with moist.

Not from sickness at heart await I fortune,
Storm will twirl fresh snow from sheer spite.
She’ll be back to where is her birthplace,
She’ll return to give its warmth to little one.

She will take off her coat, untie shawls,
Perch herself by my side, close to heat,
And she’ll say in her sweet, tender tones
That the child bears resemblance to me.

woman

woman l would like you were a rose without thorns
l feel it you are so close to me
but in your broken essence
you are not with me
maybe it will be a new world sky
that will see us together
we will fly with outshretched wings
on the wind's streets
don't you try to remember the passed time
that not everything has given us
let me come close to you
l know love is life but life is never love
l will find out the words
to speak to your heart
