About this poem:
Impressive feat being the first Ukrainian Got Talent champion but more so for her gentle nature and humility...giving the glory to God instead of her own abilities...and for having a heart...a giving heart to those in need...

seven days................

lonely are the hours that creep into the dark of night
my enthusiasm is fuelled by a full moon in flight
the rain plays havoc beating on my soul
as i yearn for your touch your caress my goal

distance is an enemy we have yet to befriend
miles like universes there seem to be no end
minutes are like days as the clock stands still
no more counting of the hour for a month would kill

distractions run rampant as my focus deserts me
my hearing seems to be echoing hollow all around me
what was that you asked i constantly enquire
knowing full well my attention is on fire

i dig deep inside me to alleviate the pain
keeping my self adrift amidst a sea of rain
wondering when i'll see your lovely face again
seven more days of this excruciating pain .......

A Puppy

A puppy rambles there
on the road , aloof and alone;
separated from its kinds,
which it had a few days back.

A few days back
it was in its mother's womb.
The warmth in the lap of its mother
and the milk from her breast --
all were there stored
only for a few days.

A few days back
it had a family of its own;
brothers and sisters to play with;
a house inside a pipe of a bridge
or in the dark corner
of a cattle shed, where
it had grown fearlessly.

But what is it? Who brings it
to the highway to be a rambler;
not to get food to eat
or a place to sleep?
Is it responsible
for its own condition?

Explosion! explosion is the root
of every evil; is responsible for it.
Dogs have populated at random
for their passionate copulation,
and it is,no way responsible
for its present condition.

A puppy rambles there
on the road -- sick and hungry.
Is there any rescue for it?
It is destined to suffer
at present; to remain without
food and shelter to live with.

There comes a white ray;
a white car like Nature's blessings.
A small boy gets down, who
takes the puppy into the vehicle
to rear up it ; perhaps to provide it
its livelihood to live with.

But my dear PUPPY!
be aware of Time,
of your own background.
Only then can you be happy
for all time to come
in your future generation.

Beacon of Stars

Beacon of Stars

There is always Light in Life
Let not the darkness envelop you
If darkness should fall
Look to the night sky

See the bright Light of the Cosmos
Reach out your hands grasping the Stars
While in your Grasp wish upon it
Pull it into your Heart

Let its Light and Warmth show you the way
Choose the brightness of Wisdom
Hold close to you all that which you hold Dear
Warm yourself upon the Shining Beacon of Hope

I look!

I look, I see, what was meant to be,
But nothing is divine, nothing here makes
You mine,
All of our creation, and all of what
You can be,
It’s decided by who?......you at the
Back, you are me!
Sometime in some way in someplace
And somehow, you will know,
You are me! In the past in the future and
Now!

Reaching Out.......

Alone again but for life
A hollow heart without my wife
Empty i seek to share
A conversation laid bare
So many other things to do
Put on hold while darkness due
Need to visit my best friend
The beach , the surf once again
There'll be no words so to speak
Just memories that make me weak
And the friendship that i share
With mother earth and her care
I need her more than i know
To share with others i would grow
But it seems to me i know not why
The steps i walk can not lie
I've been painted with this brush
Sometimes abstract with a rush
So when the clouds roll on in
What can you see under my grin.......

Weaver Of Words

Wordsmith and poets, weave-sew
Phrases-words, kneaded like dough
Mixed together, eased into verse
Poetry-descriptive, kind not a curse

Lyrics of songs, can't control fate
Lighthearted banter, can act as bait
Strung together, a storyline unfolds
Whatever the subject, gentle or bold

Words lead to a journey, possible delight
Encouraging followers, with hidden insights
As a patchwork quilt, tells those who know
Where fabric came from, the dressmaker sews

Memories, reminders from a former time of life
Gift giving pleasure, brings happiness not strife
Poets can tell a story, as song lyrics can weave
Dreams of hope and pleasure, joy another receives

So smile when you read, or sing a song for pleasure
Maybe it holds special words, you can treasure
From back in time, unlocking memories past
Triggering the mind, so special thoughts last

Written words so special, to memorize over time.
Woven by the wordsmith, to retain in the mind
Released into a moments, unlocking-images-signs
Yet all they really are, words strung to form a line.

Truth,Lies,Time to choose

Farewell half truths and lying speech,
corruption you have wrought
upon the souls of mortal man
when truth she should be sought.

Who knows when first that lie in us,
took hold and like a seed did grow
A white lie, a kind lie, acceptable became
and truth in its beauty lost its glow.

Economical with the truth,
embarrassed we defend with such
And the little acorn there became
a tree with lies so much.

And there entwined we find ourselves,
trapped by our tongue and heart
But time has come to cast them off
and bid them to depart.

Sail on the ship of truth
to waters clear and sweet
where beauty is the truth itself
and loving words there meet.

Not easy to get rid of such
it has to be said true
and full truth can be painful
well it's what we have to do.

Honesty, and speaking out
as you see it there,
and rise a phoenix from the ash
and to some clearer air.

Who Am I

I am the spark that lights your soul, the day the night, your knight in
shining armour.
The morning breeze, the wind that waves your hair.
Who am I,I looked down on my soul as far as I could,to where life starts in the undergrowth.
In search of myself, true in spirit,I look into the nothingness, into the living sea but just find a vast wreck of my life esteems.
Who am I,rather strange than the rest.
Like shades in love,my reason is lost.
I am yet,what I am,none cares or knows,who I am.
Who am I.
