and where have you gone wrong?
Why must you sigh and frown
when the world slips right on by?
When good times were old times?
When you were young and fair?
What happenned to wanting
to make a few new friends?
We are all worn down by age
And who hasn't had bad experiences
but if we stay crippled with broken wings
when will we ever try and fly again?
The spirit of youth is ageless
Happiness of life is always near
so just get outside of your own fear
Pretend and be childlike again
and learn to love from deep inside
and share your innocence again.

True beauty
what is it really
As we often heard
It’s in the eye
of the beholder

Beauty can be found
In almost anything
In a song or rhyme
The sounds of the wind
a moment of remembrance
in page through time’s journal

a majestic tree
in the Amazon jungle
to the brown dunes
of the Sahara dessert
maybe the pure white sands
of Melkbos strand
or the plush green foothills
of the Drakensberg

but none
can compare
to the Splendid One
Who is and was
and is to come
Most High God
Creator of All
Heaven and earth
Every bird in the sky
All of creation
A mere reflection
of His Ultimate Perfection

Return To Innocence
Years have gone by
With you packed away in that old musty box
With the rest of my forgotten joys and pains
These years have been kind to you
You've grown to pop the top
And return once more to remind me
I fear you
I tried to conquer you in the only way I knew how
I forgot you existed
Instead of living through the pain you've given me
Accepting it
And breaking through to the other side

You've become an entity unto yourself
I can not ask you how I can defeat you
I don't know if I can try
I hide in my oubliette
Forgetting you
Forgetting even me
Letting fear take control

I may leave cautiously
Search for comfort
To cry a thousand tears from my eyes

Many years ago when I was a child, I remember my
Brother going to the Easter Sow and bringing back
a show bag, it contained mainly sweets and
confectionary and also a small model of three
monkeys sitting next to each other the strange thing
was they all had their hands covering a different
part of the head, I found out later they were the
three wise monkeys who symbolised the three deadly
sins, see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil, by
following these rules, people would lead the perfect
life. Even now I still remember back to that time
the three monkeys have since disappeared but
their memories and their message will live forever.

courage doesnt always wear a soldiers face
or a purple heart
courage is sometimes proceeded by great trepidation
whispering hope to move the fearful forward
into the unknown
the mother who shields her child
the man who lays down his life
day after day for family
those who are weak in body
yet their spirit is resilient
through frustration and pain
those whose faith never waivers
even when doubt surrounds them
facets of perserverance
illuminating their lives
such brilliance cant be matched
it is the best of the best
beating down all critics
shining portraits of humanity

yesterday is already a dream
tomorrow is only a vision
today makes every
yesterday a dream of happiness
tomorrow a vision of hope

If you want to scream at the world in frustration...you're not alone.

If you have regrets in life that haunt you...you're not alone.
If you cried today...you're not alone.
You are more than the choices that you've made.
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes.

Beyond the window she did see
a field of green lie silently
the blades of grass cool view
within a purple yellow sea.

Through the field barefoot she trod
as tall grass brushed her ankles there
that purple yellow quilted scene
that was the glimpse of meadow green.

The dawn had only just begun
and not long too the rising sun
as one by one the flowers yawned
and opened to another dawn.

Her feet covered by fragrance there
the purple and yellow coat
flowers so colored fair
still and bright were everywhere.

The fragrant flowers open her heart
the petals are her moving start
inviting love to blossom there
the woman with the long dark hair.

Serene and still a fragrant air
she lay upon that yellow bed
and purple haze amidst the green
and beauty thus revealed a queen.

he person who is more willing to improve themselves and a little scornfully. More work and less talk. More often say, "I can do." And rarely say that something impossible to do. More often gave encouragement to others. And rarely extinguish the spirit of others. more willing to enter into the complexity of the problem and little folded hands. More often indicate what is true and shows what little misnomer. More light a candle and a bit of cursing the darkness ..

ON A LONELY BEACH
WHEN I M RESTLESS
AS RESTLESS CAN BE
THE CALM SEA
HAS A COMFORT FOR ME
THE WIND TAKES
GRIP OF ME TOO
AND THOUGH NO ONE
SEES IT AT ALL
THERES PEACE
ON LONELY BEACH
NATURE CATCHES

LIFTS ME
