Honesty is the best policy
That's a lesson I was taught at school
But today in a world of trickery
Is that merely advice for a fool?
One time a person's word was his bond
A handshake was used to seal a deal
Today, no oath can be relied on
For some are always trying to steal
I shall be honest in my action
For to myself I have to be true
In each and every situation
No matter what others say or do
Peace of mind is most important to me
That's why I shall always strive to be free
To act in all truth and sincerity
For honesty is the best policy

About this poem:
I tried to write this poem in the style of some poems I learned and loved as a child. I have a special fondness for balanced rhyming poems. I think they are easier for children to learn. I believe it is important for children to learn the importance of honesty and I dedicate this poem to them.

The road is long
The road is lumpy
The road has twists and turns
It has rises and burms
The road has mountains and hills
It can be boring or have thrills
The road can be slipery and frozen
It can be dangerous for those chosen
The road is the place
to drive not to race
While on the road take in the scenery and places
while on the road you will see many faces
We all hope to find
Someone to share the ride.....

In this world my eyes sees all
Exploring the world in a different vieuw
Looking further then beyond
My spirit seeking the truth behind the higher forces
Would the devil come and take me, i’m not fearing him
My eyes would turn too cold stone ice to destroy him
Turn to glowing diamonds when found my peace
My spirit full of life a never stop burning forest
Pierced right trough some souls
Picking up angels among us
Feeding them with endless might
Together we are the united force
Searching a way above all skies …

THE MUSE: EDELWEISS – Vol. I
*** Part III: Poetic Pillars – Monads: The Harp ***
[ XVI ]
*** Young, young tree ***
“Young,
Young tree,
From
Deep roots,
Through
Stiff trunk,
Till
Thy crown,
Hear my plea –
*** Root ***
Young,
Young tree,
Thus
On spree,
Branch
Bows down,
While
A monk
Reaps old fruits; –
*** Root ***
Young,
Young tree,
Leaves
Bend shoots,
Throws
Seed [ : ‘s : ] sound,
- Wind
Breaks free,
All bless Thee!.. – ”

Monday I'm pounding the pavement
the walk, the dead soul pain walk
for a job I've swallowed
for thirty years gone
and every day I pass
that little bank on the corner
where ninety seconds
is all it would take
to break this hell
that and a little steel influence
faces to the cool floor
I'd do a little wheezing now
having left it too long
filling the money sacks
naked ambition
finally realized
and all the while
back home
sitting in the drawer
that ticket to Uruguay

One single tear
Can bring such peace
To ones soul
Shower of colour
Upon our earth
Can heal so many

I see them walking down the street,
looking for change so they can eat.
I dodge their gaze so I won't see
the pain their eyes convey to me.
Their starving hearts reach out for help,
shunned by those who love only wealth.
Forsaken by all who walk past,
they start to lose their hope so fast.
What happened to the kind and just?
For all I see is greed and lust.
So now I feel that I must change
the world into a better place.

Cracked pepper, just a memory
your reflection in stainless steel
all may yield few clues
birth of a test pilot's angst
in radiation blue
this lime lime resonance
is a song to fully appease
stirring the crowds at 45 rpm
load and reload boys
a witching in the switchgrass
cocaine copters
out on the delta
sky black, hijack
gone like DB Cooper
who would have guessed it
who could have breathed it
message for 2024
sleep with your boots on

Look thee in the mirror of life, gazed upon what I see
reflections of hate, dishonour, envy, lust, who am I were
is my identity,scattered in time.
Memories fill my thoughts with moments of despair,If I had
only forgived or a simplke sorry could have saved the day
and my soul.
So easy yet so difficult to be humble it flows from the
heart its knocking on your door day by day,we are deaf, blind,
can you hear her vouching cries, can you feel her tender touch
she is all around you humbleness.
In the innocent in the defendless in those who repent in the
eyes of a little child.
It makes no difference,Kings,Queens,Presidents its a lesson to learn yet so difficult to comprehend from the begining of times.
It is not who you are, were you come from or what you possess
its the art of knowing were you belong and what you are made
of,pure love.
So look yourself into the mirror forgive youreself and welcome
Humbleness into your life.

The wind hisses around me,
It rages, then stops,
I close my eyes
and suddenly a gentle rain falls
on my tired face,
Kisses my hair
Caresses my neck
like a warm lover,
and I smile gratefully.
Are the tears of the gods
to merge with mine,
are the laments of heaven
to merge with my cries,
I hear thunders
coming into my mind
with arrogance,
To drag me in a world that is not mine
It feels like an autumnal air
entering in my soul
shaking it and filling it with memories,
I reopen my eyes...
It remains only the wind around,
It remains only the darkness, only the night.
I Look up,
I look at the sky,
and there they are...
the stars...
the Eyes of the Gods..
