Dissipating,
Disappearing,
One by one
You forbid our existence
You wipe us out
As if you own the right
To decide our fate
We mean no harm
We came in peace
You took our lands
We did nothing
You took our food
We did nothing
You took our babies for trophy’s
We did nothing
Now, you take our horns
Our lives
And still
We do nothing
We lie, lifeless
Hopeless
With our babies
By our side,
Sniffing our bleeding faces
Waiting for us to wake up
We will never wake up
We are dead
We are dying
You are killing us
Our horns heal you say?
Your bullets kill
Your hearts are damaged
You minds infected
Deeper than any horn could ever heal
You murderers
You sick bastards
Do you not see
The pain,
The suffering
The cold blood pouring?
Do you not see
The damage?
The deterioration?
The depression?
Do you not see
Us?
What we are,
What we contribute?
We are big
We are bold
Yet, we remain powerless
At the mercy of your triggers
At the mercy of your conscience
Kill us
Carry on if you please
We will do nothing
We will simply die
We will return to the very roots of our existence
But you,
Dear human
You will suffer
You will beg
You will plead
For mercy to be shed upon your soul
And by God
I pray it is never granted
Enjoy the landscape
Wonder at the horizon
Marvel at the African plains
For soon it will be without us
Your children will never see us
Our children will never see us again
Live with that
And we will die with that
For our humble souls
Are greater than your evil ways
Good people,
Stop them
Please
So that we may roam in peace
Without fear
Without death
Stop them
Please
So that we may live on
Share our plains
Share our earth in harmony
Stop them
Please
So that we can just be
All we want
Is to just be
Just be
Left alone
Left alone to mercy of our creator
Our nature
His will
Not your weapons
I beg you
Please
Stop them.
Yours faithfully,
Rhino

About this poem:
I wrote thispoem in 2011 when the rhino poaching started to esculate dramatically. I feel VERY stongly about nature and was purely inspired by first hand breeding experience with these magic beasts.

Green - the colour of life

i want to see green
everywhere i go
for the world can't live without it
it's something everyone knows
green in the streets
with blossums that do shine
green in the backyards
full of fruit trees devine
green in the park
and along the creek
green in every bit of dirt
where ever you may peek
green sprouting from windows
and on rooftops too
giving of oxygen
for life to continue
forget the concrete slabs
where ever you may go
they only give you bunnions
did you not know
green for birds and the bees
and to stabilise the land
green from the shady trees
for man has too much demand
every bit of dirt that is built on
should have a green zone
recycling green waste
to improve what has been grown
the earth would be better place
it's simple to you and me
lets beautify the world
and live in green harmony......

Must I go again!!
Must I stay!!
It has only been a while..
I will come again!!
Maybe to stay a bit longer!!
Foundation is the wall we hold!!
Creation is what we build!!
Going and coming..
Only makes us fonder of!!
Who we are!!
Thanks for letting me stop by!!
Poet's corner once again!!
Yes, it is still inside me..
But I must go again!!
For you to appreciate who has!!
Come and gone again~~

Farewell Once Again, my Friends
I read so many posts it made me cry,
Really, I did not know if I would be recognized
Time only tell’s as one never forgets
Until the other regrets
That you are gone and hard to find
Must we bind
Because I came and now I am gone
If so perhaps we will bond
After the return as abstinence
Draws the friendship
To a nearness
One can never
Let go of~~~

If only I could see and be as natural
as a tiger.
As tactful as a praying mantis
Loving as a lioness to her cubs.
as communal as bees in a hive
How natural instincts in animals
is unwarped by progress.
How I strive to be like that
As articulate and luring as the Golden Gower bird
We surrounded in beauty how be much better
be one with that.

Light as a feather
We danced together
It rained, so we parted
How I hate this weather
Yet ever and anon
Should we bless those
who impose the worst
for it is all at our behest
through ancient debts
to be paid in service
or pain and confusion
and ever to attain bliss
thereby.
“Nevermore” quoth the raven
Silence symbol of doom
There will be peace forsooth
and bliss anon.

Cold depths of winter
The ripples of the lake
The ducks and swans shield themselfs
They hide from the blowing wind
That belows the lake
Cold black shadow
Refelectd the ripples of the wind
The cold chill freezes
Cold bitten fingers and toes
The rippling blowing waters
The moored boats swell
Tossed around
As they rise and fall
Darkness aproachs
The skies black and cold
The glare of the moon
Full
Skies dark
Cloudless dew settles
on the cold frost nite air
