a cactus flower was born into the winter -
even snow flakes could not destruct the beauty
of the white petals between thorns

In the ink-stained nebula
this the course of the abyss
light as in eternity
there are the ones
who were taken
within the sacrifice
their hearts beat serene
these roads to the stars
are an empty conveyance
I tell you this
it is a trick of the light
now servants of the void
I hear you say quietly
were they sculpted by night?
were they cast from stone?
my friend, my friend
this dusty reliance
on faith as it suits you
yet still we shall not perish

Within the depths of my being
I feel a love for Beauty
Beauty is awe inspiring
and praise invoking
During a quiet moment
on some deserted spot of nature
my soul rises
from this earthly plane
to celestial heights
the mind is at peace
and the soul communicates
with some mysterious cosmic power
that is so pure
so beautiful
and so overwhelming
that to me
it is absolute
In such moments
I feel
so helpless
so insignificant
my soul is lost
within this mysterious realm
whose magnitude fills the universe
for now I am just a part
of this mysterious consciousness
In such moments
I probe my logical mind
-my scientific mind;
I explore my upbringing
and psychological background
to test the validity
of this consciousness
but they are all silent
It is as if this is a domain
so convincing in itself
that logic stands helpless
Feelings reign supreme then
-such intense feelings:
peace generating
and beauty creating
that self is overwhelmed
by its magnitude
Ego is defeated
and the soul is set free
-completely free
from every thing
that binds it
on this earthly plane
for I become a part
and yet the whole
of this mystery
-a paradox in itself
Is this truth
-Absolute Truth?

The first light of a new day
Near in the middle of June
Even the mating birds song
Is muffled in a softer tune
Bright promise of summer day
Still hidden away will stay
Cloudy skies laden with grey
Misty fog out over the bay
Wind is calm and a little chill
Even the distant church bell
Muted by a heavy air so still
Rings the entire town in a spell
The long drought is finally over
The dust is washed from the earth
Looking out over fields of clover
Softly falls the rain giving birth

Ripple of water cascades
follows the river bank
ebbs and flows the jagged rocks
cascades down burrows
From simple flows the stream
widens and flows
sounds of water cascades
Down waterfalls power and surge
sound fill ones hears
to the waging roar
water cascades
descends to the cool waters below
sound silent water flows
fish pool and swim below
The river descends it onward flow to open sea

Voices chattering in my garden
The soil and lawn have hardened
Flower petals had dropped down
Leaves have swirled all around
Veggie patch empty and bare
Caterpillars and grubs, nowhere
Anticipation is in the air
For what? I stand and stare
A peace reigns for this time
Waiting for white frosts to be kind

Evenings beach sand cradles your back with a cool soothing feel
the wonderment that is Nature never lacks in it's appeal
On clear nights you can see a twinkle in the farthest star
The Moon light sparkles atop the calm waters from afar
After dozing off I imagined a life void of pain
an existence where peace has eternal reign
Absence of ill will negates strife
zero worry about a diseased life
Death and taxes aren't part of reality
peace of mind a perpetual mentality
All live harmoniously on equal ground
evil no where to be found
Medicinal benefit is abundant in everything you ingest
any reasonable desires are available at your request
My eyes opened wide due to this vivid dream I just had
it's so memorable because nothing about it resembled bad
Maybe what I dreamed exist somewhere in the vast outer space
impossible maybe but nice to 'Imagine' there being such a place

Another day fades into the past
shorter and shorter they seem to last
Each tick of time becomes history
where it goes forever a mystery
Another day quickly becomes yesterday
from final destiny no getting away
Tomorrow's bound to turn into today
one day forever could go away
Another day always reaches tomorrow
time we can only borrow
Future brings about 'another day'
it's always been that way
Each day's Twenty-Four hours from it's end
like every human life they're only on lend

Blossoms And Bubbles
As I entered the garden the scents enticed
rampant rose blossom the arches fenced.
Cascading aromatic blossoms greeting me
amidst the climbers were the sweet pea.
In the centre stood the patio so glamorous
sparkling bubbles of champagne so amorous.
Tickling the throat buds saturated with scent
from the tumbling blossoms as they descent.
Blood stream and breath full of roiling bubbles
and past swish the gentry parading in couples.
Raise your glasses in a toast as friends are wed
laughing, knowing they will all too soon be in bed.
Ah what a perfect day in this romantic garden
bubbles and blossoms tumbling as skies darken
Blossoms and bubbles never somniferous
mixed together they are becoming toxiferous.
