Death Ride On

DEATH IS A LONE RIDER
NOT PRIVY TO JUST STRANGERS

DEATH IS A LONE RIDER
READY TO TAKE YOU AS AN INSIDER

DEATH IS A LONE RIDER
WAITING FOR THAT SPECIAL MOMENT

DEATH IS A LONE RIDER
THAT HAS COME TO TAKE YOU HOME

DEATH IS A LONE RIDER
YOU MUST GO ALONE

DEATH IS A LONE RIDER
IT”S AT THE END OF YOUR BEGAINING AND YOU MUST GO ALONE…

Finding Hope and Happiness

I hope you had a fantastic weekend and prepared to have a great week. I often encourage you to access where you are in life and determine what you are doing presently, will it allow you to be where you desire to be tomorrow. Lets put it another way, "if we are having this conversation five years from now, what would have change to place you where you desire to be. Today is the day to think about what you can do to embrace life and follow your dream

Life is a miracle don't let it slip away,
Open your heart to others give of yourself each day
See the beauty in everyone regardless of where they've been
Some have a difficult journey and really need a friend
Share your gifts and talents listen with your heart
Do the things you dream about but don't have time to start
Pick a bouquet of flowers show someone that you care
Be gracious and forgiving because life is never fair
Hold on to your courage you may need it down the road
We all have a cross to bear and this could be your heavy load
If you practice all these things no matter where you roam
You may find both sunshine and rain but you'll never grow old

Drowning for you

I feel like I'm lost, lost out at sea
feels like my lifes over, you're not with me
The sky has turned black and its pouring rain
for all I feel is torture and pain,
the waves keep crashing all over my ship
rocking my boat and making it tip.
Now I am drowning, drowning for you
but you won't save me so what shall I do.
I keep on trying to surface for air
I raise up my hand but I know you're not there
so I prayed to the Lord to make it end fast,
He said you have to swim boy to get away
from the past.

Crying footsteps before me

I feel for every step I’ve took for every footprint I’ve made

I’m stepping on someone’s teardrops, dried in the desert sand

The teardrops that escaped the strands of nature’s mop

Are these the teardrops of those who walked before I walked?

I feel I am here all alone, but fighting next to my brothers and sisters

In this strange land, unlike like any other many walk along

Many have cried, many have died calling their distant mothers, fathers, sons, brothers, daughters and sisters

Yet, I step in their footsteps, their emotions squalled into mine running down as a gutter rush of blood

Fearing the next step I take a deep breath; it may be my last, my last tear falling in the sand, unknown to others and not seen by man

I want the future to remember my last steps, my last tears that fell here that soaked in the barren sand

At my last ride, I want people to know of my fears; hopefully by then, no one will

have to walk in my footsteps, they shall not know war and that life is not always fair

A Family Prayer

Lord build me a house that we can call home and strong enough to weather the storms of life

Lord build me a home where my children and neighbors can feel safe, healthy and strong

Let love abound with out stretched arms to embrace and give lots of hugs

Lord build me a home where warmth and love is wrapped around my heart like a cozy blanket

Teach us that working in unisom allows us to grow and go

Lord build me a home where there are no barriers that impedes progress or prosperity

Help us to function, perform and advance

Lord build us a home strong enough to withstand the pitfalls of unacceptable thoughts and behaviors

Lord build us a home not just of bricks and mortar, but also of love, satiability, tolerance and free of pain

Thank you O’ Lord for the gift of life and for the love and support of each other

Thank you O’ Lord for helping us to recognize a place we can call home

Live

Long ago I set out to find
An amorous yearning in my mind;
Thinking love would hurriedly appear without flaw
The sum of all the beauty in life I saw

Down many roads I traveled long
Through dark nights and days anew,
Over hills and mountains and open fields,
Past many yesterdays and tomorrows too.....
Today is the day given and today I shall live..

His hidden tear shows

his mouth's on her neck, her shoulders all wet, she holds him with care, he's not doing so good, she comforts him in her arms with soft whispered words, welled up eyes this man cries as he holds her in tight, he breathes deep, a slight smile your shoulders all wet, it's ok she says an kisses his cheek, i love you sweetheart, this is just what you need as they stand in silent embrace.

Love's Haunting Dreams

Love's Haunting Dreams

If I never knew the beauty you hold
would my foolish heart now be so cold?
Had I never known your loving ways
would I ever know such sombre days?
Had I never shared your fancy flights
would I ever know such lonely nights?
Should I wish that we had never met
that I dream no dreams of you Janette?

Haunting memories of a young love lost
remaining within me as a jealous ghost.
Masking thought and a new love found
leaving my heart aching without a sound.
Finding a kind of peace yet still afraid
the mask might fall and end my charade.
The harsh cycle gous on forever it seems
always returning, love's haunting dreams!

Hotline

As the phone rings
Blowing loud like a siren
I think about if our secrets
That I must tell you about
Will be only between us.
As the phone steadily talks
An excessive chill races through my spine.
I'm starting to think
Other people are paying attention to us.
While the phone cries
For me to pick it up
I ponder?
Then without any kind of warning
The shouts and shrieks halt!
I sit in silence watching the telephone-
It begins to speak once more
Exactly what I expected.
So I answer its mumbles
No longer caring who hears
The hidden message I have for you.
