Bentlee

His hidden tear shows

his mouth's on her neck, her shoulders all wet, she holds him with care, he's not doing so good, she comforts him in her arms with soft whispered words, welled up eyes this man cries as he holds her in tight, he breathes deep, a slight smile your shoulders all wet, it's ok she says an kisses his cheek, i love you sweetheart, this is just what you need as they stand in silent embrace.

Love's Haunting Dreams

Love's Haunting Dreams

If I never knew the beauty you hold
would my foolish heart now be so cold?
Had I never known your loving ways
would I ever know such sombre days?
Had I never shared your fancy flights
would I ever know such lonely nights?
Should I wish that we had never met
that I dream no dreams of you Janette?

Haunting memories of a young love lost
remaining within me as a jealous ghost.
Masking thought and a new love found
leaving my heart aching without a sound.
Finding a kind of peace yet still afraid
the mask might fall and end my charade.
The harsh cycle gous on forever it seems
always returning, love's haunting dreams!

Hotline

As the phone rings
Blowing loud like a siren
I think about if our secrets
That I must tell you about
Will be only between us.
As the phone steadily talks
An excessive chill races through my spine.
I'm starting to think
Other people are paying attention to us.
While the phone cries
For me to pick it up
I ponder?
Then without any kind of warning
The shouts and shrieks halt!
I sit in silence watching the telephone-
It begins to speak once more
Exactly what I expected.
So I answer its mumbles
No longer caring who hears
The hidden message I have for you.

Dream Lover

Dream Lover

In my slumber I search in vain
to find my lover, I look again.
Why do I search why do I look
as for a word in a famous book?

I glance your beauty in my sleep
your face is always mine to keep.
Though your magic is what I feel
it is only your love I wish to steal!

Can this vision I invoke be true,
where in this world love are you?
Now I think I know what you are,
could my imagination lean so far?

Somehow reason comes to the fore
as I realise I needn’t look anymore.
Logic from within grasps my mind,
how on earth could I be so blind?

The urging I feel inside my chest
inciting this man’s lonely quest
really can’t be what it may seem
the lover I seek is but a dream!

The Silence Of Man

The Silence Of Man

The silence of man has no voice to trace
yet sounds the same from place to place,
the deadly silence between battles linger
awaiting cruel fate’s long whining finger,
pleasant silence in a lonely man’s room
lingers the same in his deathbed tomb!

Within the silence of time’s long voice
hushed in peace with no other choice
uninterrupted silence of prayers in hope
for a foothold on heaven’s slippery slope,
each man departs where he long has trod
commending his soul silently to his God!

Witch Night

Dragon's breath, skin of toad, bat wing, owls feather, fire just started.... cauldron hanging heating up, moon cast shadows, moon lit mist passes by.... tail of snake, lip of fish, boil cauldron boil, pig's feet oil.... broom in the corner, cat's back arched, bat's in the air stealth on by.... boil cauldron boil, ancient book's open, a spell to be cast, oh wicked one with sinister grin, soon spell be cast, boil cauldron boil, words said right make it last. . . .

ART

Would she be foolish to dig more?
Dying in the lives of fond illusions.
Snared with the lions,
do we betray our instincts?
Is it sins painted masterpiece or
Conceited colours on the canvass,
brushed stroked of her own hand?
She cries for more.
Like a junkies moon
The desperate need of art.
Why solace is found in vain measures of purity.

Only you

I find myself in a moment thinking of only you.
The way you walk when your down and dont want to talk
The way you may touch when I'm about to tell you I can fall
for someone like you

I find myself in a moment thinking of only you
and how this world will stand still if we can find our way
and make our dreams twist together. It could be like the rain and then the rainbow as one and finding the pot of gold.
