Your world is different from my world

My world is like a river
There is no storm to suffer
It's calm and it's smooth
Its wave is tiny and gentle.

Your world is like a sea
It's rough and choppy
Strong wind, huge storms sometimes visit
It's raging and not happy.

In the river, I am a small boat
Visiting the sea is never my goal
In the sea, you are a large ship
And the river is also not your road

The ship and the boat...
The sea and the river...
They are not similar.
Neither are our worlds.
Your world is different from my world.

Death's Opus

Here, On the other side of the page
where lost days go,
where lost poems go,
where forgotten dreams
are breaking up like morning fog.

Go.....
Go.....
Go.....

I am preparing myself for death.

I am teaching myself emptiness;
the gambler's hunger for love,
the nun's hunger for God,
the child's hunger for chocolate
in the hours of darkness.

I am teaching myself love;
the lean love of marble kissed away by rain,
the cold kisses of snow crystals on granite grave markers,
the soul kisses of snow as it melts in the spring.

Here, on the other side of the page
I lie making a snow angel with the arcs of my arms.
I lie like a fallen skier who never wants to get up.
I lie with my poles, my pens flung around me too far
in the snow to reach.

The snow seeps into the hollow of my bones
& the calcium white of the page deposits me
in like a fossil.

I am fixed in my longing for speech,
I am buried in the snowbank of my poems,
I am here, where you find me........

Perspective...

Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we fall
Life's full of hurdles, and even brick walls
But we grow with experience, through the good and the bad
Look forward with wisdom, not back at what we could have had

When one door closes, it's time to move 'home'
New chapter in your book, whole world to roam
Our days run fast, in the blink of an eye
Make time last well, before we reach the sky

Live in every moment, take in all the air
Be grateful for now, run without a care
For one day we will be aged, looking back when we're grey
To give yourself good memories, you must live for each day

a three lined poem

Capturing the autumn dawn
Leaving the night
Into daylight cold

About this poem:
This talks about ....
Looking at the autumn sky at dawn. A scenic beauty. As the dawn breaks to a new day, the faint dark night brightens up to a new day. However, it's autumn. Leaving the three warm seasons behind and experiencing the cold of winter. Though everything is being lit up by the warm sun, the warmth disappear to a wintry cold instead.
Life can be an autumn dawn. A season of pleasant weather and dawn a period of time which darkness creeps to light. However, as the dawn gives way to a bright sky, it is the end of autumn. Darkness may have left but autumn paves it's way to a winter chill. We may pass through events of life-a dark path then there's light. Night can turn to day and day turns into night again. It's the cycle of life

Imagination

A little check mark next to my name
Or any slip of paper to bookmark
What I have set off like firecrackers
Such images to take center stage
When something strange becomes
Suddenly so curious so wondrous
To go back to day after day
What wild scenes will take place
Beckoning as would be for beauty
Beholding something more valuable
Does a simple shutter speed capture
Something that will last forevermore
An imagine ingrained in your brain
Now even with your eyes closed
In the sunbeams streaming rapture
A simple truth never shown more
Nor most interestingly composed
Then the pictures that will take shape
Like the great spotlight on the wall
And the star starts falling will glow
Only briefly after going along so far
Delight and dance in your heart

Oh! My Cripled Soul

Oh, My Crippled Soul!
Abandoning the thought of love is like a pitchfork that pierced a heart that didn't bleed
That which became my enemy was twice as bad
I smile crookedly at life, unapologetic if I am scared and scorned
Oh, my crippled soul!
Life is a cruel defense of love devastated by fantasy and ill will
Why does one love...is it not a miracle cure?
The soul cries out but has learned to hide the glaring darkness of misery and pain
Anger is the enemy, indifference is worse so widely known and celebrated by many
Suffering privately in silence looking for a sign or anything to be gained, just see me
Oh, my crippled soul!
Sassing through life is no reason to shout, it feels defenseless and so narrowly contained no one is celebrating.
There are no harmonies fashioned by time, just the same cold play playing for a different audience.
Piles and piles of life's junk heaped upon us just waiting to be discarded but it can no longer be ignored.
Oh, my crippled soul!
How did we learn to survive this unplumbed plight, is it leftover indignities handed down from generation to generation?
We quiver with fear in the hallows of surrender yet we can't cry out, who is there to listen or wipe away my tears?
Can fleeing save us; or deepen the blow, where can we go when the whole world is watching, no one is willing to save us not even YOU?
Oh, my crippled soul!

A POETS LIFE

A POETS LIFE
STEPHEN DUNNE
THE LIFE OF A POET,
ALTHOUGH MOST WON’T KNOW IT,
IS ONE OF FOREVER THOUGHT

THINKING OF LINES,
A THOUSAND TIMES,
THAT NEVER SEEM TO SAY IT

FEELINGS THAT SEEM WORTHLESS,
AND ALMOST ENDLESS,
OCCUR AGAIN AND AGAIN

A TEMPTATION THAT LURES,
TO FIND THE RIGHT WORDS,
PUT EACH AND EVERY WAY

AND AS THE POETS DREAM,
OTHER PEOPLE ALWAYS SEEM,
UNABLE TO SEE THIER CAUSE

BUT WHEN HE IS GONE,
HE’LL BE REMEMBERED LONG,
FOR THE WORDS HE ALWAYS SOUGHT

pay attention

Come on let's
Piece this together
The pain n the pleasure
Through any length n any measure
Delving deeper under pressure
Trying to find the answer
To all the questions they ask
But I know it's impossible
To go living through the past
Don't tell no lie
There's a natural mystic flowing through the air
Thanks Bob
Yet still I n I sob
Cos real is real
Can't help what ya feel
What ya see
So many
Buying into the illusion of this shizz
Before ya know it it's too late to live
And yet still to worry about him or her
Causes a blur
And so I concur
And refer
Back to the mirror
To receive breathe n see this more clearer
Everything designed for you to fear him or fear her
And even the mirror
Geeeeezzzzzz
And rewind n come again
Your soul is your best friend
Pay attention
And don't forget to smile more

Pigeon

Everyday I go down and read to the pigeons. We have an agreement. I read to them and I take one home for dinner.

Pigeon 1: “look it’s that tuned loony who thinks we understand English!”

Pigeon 2: “I thought he was talking to himself?”

Pigeon 1: “no it’s definitely us”

Pigeon 2: “we should be able to speak English by now, he keeps reading the same fffing page from his book!”

Pigeon 1: “hang on a minute... that’s not a book he’s reading to us... it’s a menu!”

Pigeon 2: “why is he reading us a menu??”

Me: “anyone hungry ???!”

Pigeon 1: “??...

Pigeon 2: “jokes on him we’ve already eaten!”

Pigeon 1: “where’s the rest of our band? We’re four pigeons shy of a full canter?”

Pigeon 2: “I haven’t seen the others since this dastardly muttley start turning up?”

Pigeon 1: “something Isn’t right here. This dizzy sherbet arrives at dawn everyday fattening us up on bread while he has pigeon a la carte!”

Pigeon 2: “stale bread!”

Pigeon 1: “stale as a loaf capsized from the ancients!”

Pigeon 2: “what makes you think he even eats pigeon?”

Pigeon 1: “well he talks to pigeons walks like a pigeon and with that haircut he’s starting to look like a pigeon”

Pigeon 2: “I’m scared”

Pigeon 1: “get a grip we’re pigeons not chickens!”

Pigeon 2: “is this war?”

Pigeon 1: “this Isn’t war. This is “Saving Pigeon Ryan!”

Pigeon 2: “what we gonna do?”

Pigeon 1: “shit on his menu and find a new location!”

Liquid Dimensional Frequency

Rip rending bending
Descending ascending
Uncomp n comprehending
Destructive forces amending n mending
Pour empty full cup to All sending
Unfriending befriending
No sight of a beginning or ending
Closed to open up n sing
Giving takin
Breaking making
Chaotic chaos pain stakin
From da roots shakin
Giratin vibratin deflatin elevatin
Flyin without wings!
The relevant relevance through to thoughts of thoughts n things of things
An unbroken circle like rings
An it rings
And it rings
Spoken words of pains n sufferings
Manifesting
Unmanifesting
It's always a blessed ting
A blessing
A blissing
A multidimensional string
On a guitar
From Pluto to Mars
Mars bars fat whips n cars
Supanovas n stars
Laa la laa la laaaaa
Spiraling
Circling
Potholes n hurdling
Curling twirling
Pull back n get hurled iN
Inhaling exhaling
Patiently prevailing
Like on a ship sailing
Rough n calm seas
Breathing positive influence
Comprehending magnificence
Understanding overstanding the science
The Love the violence
I AM
I AM that
Lyrically
Alchemical
Mystically magical
Spittin shots to ya heart lika fine art
Nursing I'm burstin lighting up ya chakras
Got ya Kundalini pacin n racin all up in ya structure
Call me a Divine doctor
Goin to work like surgery
Rewiring reconnecting up those memories
I been sent here to remove fear
And to make a way clear
To set those minds free like the air
All seeking n searching for materialistic things
Cash money gold rings n bling blings
Divine Love is what I bring
Spittin bars from Mars n all kinda stars as i sing
Deeper higher vibrating
The essence of ma presence intelligently interrogating
Pumped up never deflating
I won't jest I'm on a quest
To bring these elements into sequence
This energy potent n immense
Tearing down all barrier n fence
And now the blind see n yes they see sense
