Ah, Sweet Relief!

I was in pain, so off I went,
To the clinic, myself I sent.
Trying to find my comfort zone,
I got a little prednisone.

I figured maybe in a week,
I'd find relief that I did seek.
Ah but, oh! to my delight,
A sweet surcease came overnight.

The miracles of medicine,
Made me myself now, once again.
And so to work now, I can go,
To try to earn myself some dough.

And if my labors cause me pain,
It's off to doctor's once again,
Because to suffer's not my style,
Not even by a country mile...

a tresure of a day

Look well to this day,
For it and it alone is life.
In its brief course
Lie all the essence of your existence:The Glory of Growth
The Satisfaction of Achievement
...The Splendor of Beauty For yesterday is but a dream,
And tomorrow is but a vision.
But today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness,
And every tomorrow a vision of hope...

Romantic Desires!

May the gentle breezes caress your cheeks,
Upon the sententious woman that I seek!

One of beauty and oh so fair,
Blue eyed with soft flowing golden flaxen hair!

Passion kisses I give to you,
Awaiting your returning sweet lips, I want them too!

Touching finger tips on mine,
Feeling softness that's so devine!

To spend a midnight's rendez-vous.
A night of passion just with you!

As we blend together compatible, as a couple of one,
We embrace to greet the sunrise of the glowing morning sun!

From a single night's romantic affair,
We now have a lifetime of companion living to share!

Do I have a romantic lifetime desire for you?
Feel my heart pounding, it says, I do!

ON THE LAWN AT DAWN~a tale of woe by ~free cee

WHILST WALKING WHEN THE SOUTHERN WIND CHANGES ITS DIRECTION
AND BECOMES A NOR-EASTER SUCH AS A FESTERING INFECTION
I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO GO WHERE MY WORN OUT SHOES WILL TAKE ME
UNTIL I REACH FAR ENOUGH SOUTH FOR THE SATANIC SUN TO BAKE ME
SO PEOPLE SEE ME WALKING AND INQUIRE WHY I DO NOT DRIVE A CAR
AND I TELL THEM "BECAUSE WERE I TO HAVE A CAR I'D DRINK AFTER LEAVING A BAR"

PANAMA PETE, THE OWNER OF A BAR ON EIGHTH AVENUE, KNOWS VODKA IS WHAT I DRINK
AND PRECISELY HOW MANY SHOTS I NEED TO NO LONGER THINK
SINCE DRINKING AT EIGHT A.M ONLY LEADS TO TROUBLE WITH THE LADIES OR THE LAW
AND PLEASE DON'T ASSUME THAT ALOCOHOL IS MY ONLY FLAW
SO I LEAVE OLD PETE WITH HIS PANAMA HAT'S BRIM WELL WORN
AND MORE OFTEN THAN NOT WAKE UP UPON SOME STRANGER'S LAWN
HOW I GOT THERE AND WHY ARE QUERIES I AM INDIFFERENT TO
AND TAKE MY WORD FOR IT, I AM NOTHING AT ALL LIKE YOU
YOU PROBABLY HAVE LOVED ONES WHO WOULD CARE WHEN AND IF YOU DIE
I, HOWEVER, COULD EXPIRE AND NOT A SOUL ON EARTH WOULD CRY
NO MOANS, NO GROANS NOR TEARS WOULD BE TO SHED
FOR ONLY PANAMA PETE WILL MISS ME WHEN I AM DEAD
OTHER PEOPLE I'VE CHEATED WILL CARE NOT BECAUSE THEY DESPISE ME
AND NO TUXEDO, THREE PIECE SUIT OR PIN-STRIPES CAN DISGUISE ME
I AM THAT WHICH I AM DUE TO A DETRIMENTAL MIND
AND PEOPLE CAN TELL WHAT I AM EVEN IF THEY'RE BLIND
SO I RISE ON THAT STRANGER'S LAWN AND MUST KEEP ON THE READY TO RUN
WHILE WALKING AGAINST THE WICKED WIND AND THE SORDID SUN

I AM A WALKING AND TALKING ENIGMA, RIDDLE AND/OR PUN
AND WILL BE SO UNTIL THIS FARCE OF A LIFE IS MERCIFULLY DONE
BECAUSE I WAS BORN BY WINNERS BUT BIRTHED TO LOSE
AND DAMN I SURE COULD USE A NEW PAIR OF SHOES

Footshot

I seem to have a talent for,
Destroying all my efforts put.
By taking very careful aim,
To shoot myself in my own foot.

Once had a job in telephones,
And could have stayed forever,
But quit to work for an old friend,
Thought I was being clever.

His business skills turned out to be,
The cause of our undoing.
Went belly up with taxes owed,
And all the woes ensuing.

Then found some work in finances,
A vice-president was I,
They moved away but I chose not,
Another job gone bye-bye.

So now I search the want-ads for,
Some sort of a position,
But no one's hiring 'cause of the,
Economy's condition.

I think I'll hang a shingle out,
An idea that cannot fail.
Be my own boss, work when I want,
"Custom poetry for sale."

On Being Beta

I don't mind much being Beta,
Sometimes a test, but it's okay.
Though some look down there is no shame,
In letting life play out its play.

Sometimes I take bull by the horns,
If that is what I feel's called for.
But mostly I just roll along,
Cause that is just my nature's core.

So be it good or be it bad,
I know that nice guys finish last.
And if that's not your cup of tea,
I cannot help what die has cast.

You live your life and I'll live mine,
We'll just agree to disagree.
I hope that we can still be friends,
Cause that's the way a Beta be.

An Angels Shame

Angel has been burned.
Falling with smoking wings.
Earthbound she is spurned.
On and on till it stings.

Heaven forgets her face.
As she crashes into ground.
With outstretched arms knowing,
She'll never be found.

And yet,
No one cries for her.
No one sees her pain.
No one comes,
To pull her out,
No one extinguishes the flame.
No one hears her pleas.
Nothing to sustain.
No one stops the screaming,
Of an angels shame.

Burning feathers catch the breeze,
Like fireflies from hell.
Littered across the spot,
Where an angel once fell.

The earth's flesh split,
To receive the unearthly gift.
Pulled deep into her bosom,
In absence of heavenly lift.

And yet,
No one cries for her.
Only I see her pain.
No one comes,
To pull her out,
No one extinguishes the flame.
No one hears her pleas.
No one to sustain.
Nothing stops the screaming,
Of an angels shame.

Grandaughter Levanna

By:Madeliene
January 30, 2010

Days go by one at a time
I watch you grow
Yes this grandaughter of mine
Is anything but slow
A gifted child she is
She has an awesome streak
Of joy, artistic and creative
God is giving her a tweek
Of witch I could write a narative
She's getle and very curious
We talk of family and friends
To put her down would be ludicrous
Her ife is on the mend
She's a pleasure to be with
We play word games together
Her mystories are not myths
I will love her forever
I remind her that humility
Is a virtue to be nurtured
Her life has stability
Our relationship is like a jolly bowl of custard
We laugh at all sorts of things
She's a joy to have around
A voice like a bird she can sing
Once was lost but now she's found
She promised never to do drugs
That can alter her beautyful mind
She's affectionate and likes hugs
Sometimes impatien yet she's kind
Common sense is her strength
She's lovable I find
For her I will go to any length
She's a joy to have around
We have so much fun together
She wears a Spiritual crown
Unconditionally I will love her forever
She could be anthing she wants to be
She has dreams of life yet unlived
She will always be a treasure to me
Of myself to her I give
May she grow strong and true
Be of service to mankind
I will comfort her when she's blue
I will gently nudge her from behind
She never sesses to amaze me
Her little girl is wealthy
My great expectations she can see
Awesome the bond she has with me!
--grandma has loved you longer!--

Directions of My Abyss

I took just one second to stand back and reflect
To challenge my own sanity and emotional intellect
With just one whisper, a promise forever true
Through the Storms and Wars I've Fought, I still only fight for you

A thousand miles in either direction, it's all the same
The same old tales of those heros and all their fame
And I've learned so much of this world in so very little time
If the East is the Poem, then the West must be the Rhyme.

It took but a second to portray within my mind
All the things that I've gained and all that I've left behind
And with that promise, I bide my time petrified
Until that day, if any day, when I have you at my side

A thousand miles in the depth of my mind
I invite you to come into it and leave this world behind
So with my heart on standby, I bide with only one wish
And if the North is the Love, the south is surely your Kiss.

With just one breath, I throw all caution far away
My very soul hangs on the next words that you say
And in the sober clarity of the beauty in your eyes
I feel something deep inside that comes as no suprise

A thousand miles in either direction, I'll go wherever I need
Always right behind you, following your lead
So long as I have your heart, I shall belong to you
If this is my Hell, then my Heaven's with you
