On Sensuousness

A sensuous experience,
Can rise in many ways.
Delicious taste or setting sun,
Can each our senses raise.

But a sensuous encounter,
Between two loving souls,
Can light a fire within their loins,
And stoke the glowing coals.

As passions rise, the feelings grow,
To such intensity,
That they may tend to overwhelm,
In sensuous degree.

So when the passion's all been spent,
And breathing starts to slow,
Then what could be more sensuous,
Than love's sweet afterglow?

Finally comes the cuddling,
The sensuous embrace,
Entwined as one in soft repose,
Our senses face to face.

Yankee Doodle

He'll pass gas at the table and laugh,
And then not even think it a gaff.
Cusses and spits and smokes cigarettes,
Not the least bit embarassed by half.

Table manners are truly a joke,
Shouldn't be allowed 'round gentle folk.
Tells dirty jokes in mixed company,
Never minds all the rules that he broke.

Yeah, his wardrobe is truly a mess,
Like it maybe was dark when he dressed.
Wears stripes with plaids, no problem with that,
Says, "Hey, who do I need to impress?"

He'll go out with a wide open fly,
There's soup stains on his only necktie.
Good for a fight each Saturday night,
He's the macho American guy.

Promises Kept

Promises kept, are more priceless than gold,
and gems that are found in the ground.
Promises kept, to the young and the old,
sends the world turning round and around.

Promises kept, in the light or the dark,
are important nevertheless.
Promises kept, even on Noah's ark,
can help all to pass the test.

Promises kept, will with stand all of time,
for the time it has no end.
Promises kept, by church bells that chime,
and hearts they help to mend.

Promises kept, in good times and bad,
builds trust in those who keep.
Promises kept, may be happy or sad,
From the keepers caring 's deep.

Promises kept, should be taught to the child,
for in his later years,
'Tis promises kept, all of them compiled,
that will halt the endless tears.

Two heart-beats, that never stops…

I know they are two persons
But with same emotions
And more smile on every dream…
Separated after ones marriage
Left away from touch
Just got sound by a phone call
And met again to share feelings
It was not a life those thought about
But forgot all after their share of feelings
They never found anyone like the same
The distance between them is not a bar
To keep in touch by a phone call
It was a sign of truth and belief
And the trust between two souls
they like flowers not thorns,
which hurts someone without reason
And I am sure that two heart –beats
That never stops and ever-green…

Illussive Dream

I searched the world over for you.
Knowing one day we would meet.
The mere thought of you takes my breath away.
You make me feel complete.
You take my hand in yours.
And tell me to search no more.
To close my eyes and see.
The life I want.
And it will be.
I trust you. I know it is what it should be.
And the search is ended for me.
So take my hand and lead me through the day.
For together we will stay.

The Zen of Chicken Butchery

The birds were panicked, terrorized,
Were well aware something was up.
They flapped and squawked around the pen,
A threat'ning shadow loomed above.

The first four spooked into the coop,
Trapped in there by a crude wire gate.
When the roof was raised two flew out,
Thus striving to escape their fate.

These two were captured easily,
Trapped in a corner, grabbed by legs.
But these turned out to be the ones,
Meant to be kept for laying eggs.

The rest were destined for the pan,
And somehow they seemed to sense it.
So desp'rately they struggled as,
They realized the intentions.

When you hold chickens by their feet,
And then hang them upsidedown.
Then smooth the neck down to the head,
A quiet calmness will abound.

The rest was rote, mechanical,
Beheading, plucking, wings and feet.
It's not a pretty process but,
This is the way we get our meat.

Gimme a Shot

I'm sure that I will get a job,
Because I'm not being picky.
All I need's a foot in the door,
Cause I know how to be tricky.

I have been down this road before,
Way more times than I can mention.
All I need is a chance to show,
Abilities and intentions.

I show up ev'ry day and try,
Give my best to be productive.
Cause moving up the ladder is,
Always my workin' objective

May not be strong or fast as once,
But maybe a little smarter.
Reliable, concientious,
Fast learner and a self-starter.

The Battle

Wish upon a falling star
pray and pray again
Freedom from the forces of what was and might have been
Follow the path of yellow brick
journey beyond measure
valleys of darkness overcome to find the hidden treasure
Pause beside the wishing well
hope tossed in the wind
reveries to be set free
sorrow to rescind
Build a castle in the clouds with beams of light and laughter
blinded by the wheres and whys
the silence that came after
Search within the crystal ball
echoes of the past
Behold the cost of dreams now lost
youth gone by too fast
No longer chase the leprechaun
led by others' greed
nor seek the rainbow's end in reckless hope to fill my need
But step within the looking glass
part and counterpart
join forces in the battle to save a dreamer's heart

Until I Caught a Tear

Tiny drops, streaming down,
So sad to see.
Broken hearts, Broken dreams,
Too bad for me.
All I ever wanted was the best for you,
But I was too wrong to be.

I've caught hell,
Caught up in those games,
Caught up in my fear.
I've laid it down,
All my life,
Until I caught a tear.

I reached out, grabbed your face,
Pulled it up to see.
Welling up in your eyes,
You hurt because of me.
All I ever wanted was to be the man,
But I was too wrong to be.

I've caught hell,
Caught up in those games,
Caught up in my fear.
I've laid it down,
All my life,
Until I caught a tear.

I will bring it back,
The light in your eyes.
I will be the one,
That makes your spirit fly.

I've caught hell,
Caught up in those games,
Caught up in my fear.
I've laid it down,
All my life,
Until I caught a tear.
Reaching out,
To catch the blame,
I'm sorry my dear.
I never thought,
It`d cause this pain,
Until I caught a tear.
Until I caught a tear.

To Autumn

As summer fades and autumn looms,
A feel of change so sweet.
A sleep before renewal as,
Leaves crunch beneath my feet.

I do not fear the change to come,
But welcome it complete.
So weary of the dog days now,
The dry, oppresive heat.

For each change of season brings,
A new world to enjoy.
The colors wild and beautiful,
For cam'ra to employ.

From photos I will paint the scenes,
Of autumn's lovely hues.
The reds and yellows, golds and browns,
That Mother Earth does use.

Imperfect as my art may be,
I do enjoy it so.
I do my best, it's all I can,
The wonders there to show.
