It happens when people just leave us and go,
When sky turns to gray with cold rains, winds and snow.
It happens when tears just cover our eyes
And we feel that our hearts are becoming like ice.
But any such period has and end and the reason,
For we could compare the freedom and prison.
For we could enjoy every moment of peace
And see the deep truth always lying beneath.

Where is my child ?
I miss her, I miss her smile !
But I can't seem, to find her anywhere.
Is she lost behind, that empty stare ?
I search her beautiful eyes now, so very blue
I search for the soul, that I once knew to be so true
For the one I see, my heart does no longer recognize.
She has hidden herself, beneath a blurry, dark disguise, why ?
Doesn't she remember ? Oh, how can she not know ?
Just how very much, that she is loved and is needed so.
Why does she numb herself, to be as unfeeling as stone ?
How could she have forgotten ?, that she is never alone.
For she is connected, to that greater love so pure, so strong.
A love that would never leave her and has been with her all along.
It shines down upon her, as bright as the shiniest light, that has ever shone.
It surely wants her to know, that she is never alone !
It surrounds and follows her everywhere.
Believing, that the knowing part of her soul, still knows it's there.
So I'll have faith while I wait and I pray a mother's prayer.
Never wanting to ever think, what I know my heart could never bear.
For she has so very much to give, a most precious life to live and so much to share.
So many special gifts, of which she is not yet fully aware.
Until she can see crystal clearly, through unveiled eyes.
Only then can she know, that she already has the most greatest prize.
To again feel what is really real and know it's already her very own
For from the start, she became an integral part and not unfeeling stone.
Eternally connected to that greatest unfailing love and not ever, no never, never alone.
Never alone !

About this poem:
I think this poem explains itself ! After seeing a very close relative go through a very difficult patch, I was inspired to write this, as I also love her as dearly as my own.

I know this pain won't
last forever,
but then again maybe
it will.
Mind over body
maybe
But as I look out
the sill;
from my bed tears begin
to form.
I must be
stronger,
yet I am more
worn.
The words of fellow
poets
Caress my heart.
Another mountain
to climb
And I know it.
My spine screeches at me
Shut up brain.
but I will not listen
It is insane.
Always push forward
Chin up
Eyes ahead.
You have many more
roads to travel,
HE said.

They strayed below the greening hills to love. He'd show her how,
When breezes raised her tumbling hair and kissed her fevered brow,
to rise above and float the larks suspended in the air
who'd sing the tune of wakening upon the lady fair.
They warbled tunes of ancient things that could not stay her feet
upon the meadow. Feathered wings the right percussion beat.
She danced a pathway to the place whereon he was to lie
with her, there slide himself upon her body, 'till they'd cry.
He watched, enchanted, as the wind took up his favoured place,
Soft kissing breaths upon her skin blushed bright her shy young face.
The sun burst cloud. Its brilliant hue glass-stained her eyes, to flame
the rivers bubbling in her veins, Ignite her pliant frame.
Dried grasses scratched their love lines on her legs. As she spun round
shed scattered seeds upon her thighs. Her laugh the only sound
above the rustling of the leaves, where bowing trees swayed near
to catch and brush her wind-frilled skirts, and whisper in her ear.
Now shaken with the wonder of her ecstasy, she lay
upon the flowers, trembling still, and pondered their display.
She sprawled now cooling limbs, then to restore a measured calm
raised limp lids. Seeing him still there she lifted outstretched palm.
The beauty of her graceless gait aquiver, filled his eyes,
near burst his heart asunder as he helped his love to rise
all glowing still. She whispered low, "pure beauty led the way".
He, smiling, acquiesced, conceding nature her foreplay....

For days we mount white stallion,
going westward,
far from the black stone path
The beast pants,
but carry on
with fire in its eyes
New shoots down-trodden in the channel
I taste the straps on forerunners
deep beyond their dermis,
way pass the dark transgression
we obtained,
yet we hold this sin so dear;
a real peril to the end
I felt wind urging hoofs,
and heard the soil of a mother
calling from soles;
support for imperials
Mattocks pulled new soil
to conceal the cries
If philosophy changes,
there’ll be songs I’ll never sing,
but for now I’ll walk streets eastward,
and survey scuffles
while watching my reflections
on dark footprints
In hope the hoofs are hushed
I’ll lay me down
on fertile bed,
whence I will seep along common path
unto all taste buds
The earth will carry me,
as thick as blood

I've hitched around all this past year.
Yeah I've been down, but have no fear.
Have found a car to call my own.
Bought it today, glad to the bone.
I've gotten rides from folks so nice,
But oh, to drive, is paradise.
Taken so long to get to here,
Now that I have, grin ear-to-ear.
Where should I go, now that I can?
Go shoot some pool? Go hear a band?
Or see a friend, who lives nearby?
No limits now, that I can fly.
The car is old, but in good shape,
And here and there needs some duct tape.
So fun to drive, just when I want.
Want to go with? Come, sit in front!

It's six am the sun's first light,
Has crept into our room.
It's just enough to see your face,
There sleeping half in gloom.
We've half an hour before alarm's,
Insistent, buzzing blare.
You roll away, your back to me,
I reach and stroke your hair.
You murmur softly, half asleep,
A gentle message sent.
I know you well enough to tell,
And take it for consent.
Your dreams perhaps preparing you,
No need to mess around,
So quickly, we become as one.
Sometimes that's best we've found.
The urgency of you and me,
Brings matters to a head,
As mutual, our ecstacy,
Then fills our joyful bed.
When quietly you turn to me,
We hold each other tight,
And kiss so soft and tenderly,
There in the growing light.
Alarm goes off and breaks the mood,
You jump up out of bed.
The day's begun, there's things to do,
And not a word's been said.

A little buzz can make your day,
Give your spirit quite a lift.
A rose cloud on all you survey,
As realities you shift.
So, illegal though it may be,
I will exercise my rights,
To injest me some THC,
And give in to fancy's flights.
Although some may call it a sin,
I don't see what harm is done.
Just to take on a diff'rent spin,
And to have a little fun.
Sometimes difficult to obtain,
And expensive it may be,
Still my old friend Mary Jane,
Always there to comfort me.

Kinda thin and kinda scrawny,
As I'm approaching sixty-one.
But I used to be so brawny,
When I was taut and firm and young.
I'm not hoping for perfection,
And I know that I'm not a kid.
A step in the right direction,
Just to slow up the downhill skid.
So each day I'm exercising,
And I'm eating more healthily.
And it's really not surprising,
The changes I'm seeing in me.
I'm now feeling so much stronger,
And I'm sleeping all through the night.
My workouts are getting longer,
And my spirits have taken flight.
I know I can't be young again,
But I still can have my health,
More quality of life and then,
Know that is the only real wealth.

Please..let me in to your tortured heart
Where I can repair it from within.
I'll mend your heart with threads of gold,
So you can love again.
