lost

_In my room looking at the ceiling...
_No willing to be cured. such a bad feeling...
_And the dreams in the tears are sailing...
_I miss something may complete my life's meaning...
_The sadness fill my heart completely...
_Maybe i'm not sad. Maybe i'm the sadness personally...
_What's wrong with me. I was wandring there happy like a bee...
_unfortunately, no body could listen or see...
_So, i write, and those words are the bandage...
_Of my heart when it was damaged...
_In that life i'm a tourist. They are my baggage...
_My source of hope and courage...

The Magic Man

What a woman wants,
Is what I can do,
A warrior with his sword,
Weary--- But can take on two,-
A magician and his wand,
Take her under his spell,
Bring her to Heaven,
Giving her Hell,---

The magic man,
That mastered his skills,---

What a woman needs,
I can bring,
Fancy cars, mansions,
A part of the elite,-
From a poor way of life,
To rose petals at your feet,
I may be your pauper,
I may be your king,---

The magic man,
That's mastered his skills,---

What a woman loves,
I can be,
A loner, a biker, ha, a rock star?,
Whatever she wishes to perceive,-
I could be a dream,
Coming true,
What she yearns for,
Girl, it's up to you!,---

I'm the magic man,
That has mastered his skills,---

About this poem:
This one I wrote 12-20-2021. I'm hoping this to be a good sign, for I really haven't written anything "wild, metal, hard and heavy" in quite a while! Who knows, I may play on stage once more? lol For the sad song lovers, fear not. I have many of those I'll sling on here next year (with some metal, too)! Let your hair down and enjoy the holidays! Merry Christmas!!

Softly

you can't win if you don't even try
you can't win just walking by
softly
she said, "its a shame if you're just going to lie
in the morning I'm just going to fly"
softly
here's a thing I just have to say
I've got the power to reason away
softly
if you know me there's nothing ado
when you know me we can get through
softly

Respect you? Respect me, too.

Give respect, where respect is due.
And honour me, as I honour you.
Don’t love me, yet publicly shame me;
Don’t make me feel less than I am.
I shouldn’t have to say these words,
But maybe your love’s a sham.

I’m sorry if what I did ‘hurt’ you,
I never meant to at all.
Unintentionally, I may have offended,
But don’t rebuke me with such gall.
The ego is what feels the bruises;
No real pain was evident.
I love you though I am imperfect,
So to hurt you was not my intent.

Give respect, where respect is due.
And honour me, as I honour you.
The depth of our love will be the clue,
If you love me as I love you.

A little tune

And when your roaming
far, far from the center line
as everyone does
on the steep incline
from time to time
and its all falling like snow
falling like snow round and down
troubles run like the deer
out on the edge of town
I heard him sing,
"Don't let your days desert you
let not the hurt recruit you
it will all pass away, pass away
as those ancient days have come and gone
not for a sailor to silence
the mermaid's song
who am I, who am I, who am I
to know what makes paradise"

Laughter Of The Wizard

The Wizard grinned at his forsaken sins,
Up from the gallows- there he went,
Hearing the sounds of the ancient chimes,
"The moon is full- now I must fly,"
Spreading his wings aimed towards the sky,
Of what Angels feared, mortal man had to hide,
Demons warring by his side,
On the ground, the great warriors ride,

The first warrior, he withdrew his sword,
Through demon flesh- there it soared,
His piece of steel spoke so loud,
The Wizard laughed, then struck him down--
The second warrior, he carried his axe,
Stepping into a world of all black mass,
Almost victorious across the land,
The Wizard laughed, and turned him into sand--

The third warrior fought with his spear,
For in his heart, he had no fear,
Killing over a thousand in one day,
The Wizard laughed, and cast him into clay--
The fourth warrior, protected by his shield,
To no man; nor, beast he would not yield,
The Wizard laughed, without giving chance,
He changed the warrior into grass--
The Wizard got jazzed!

The fifth warrior killed with a dagger,
But, the odds against him made him stagger,
Beginning to lose his will and desire,
The Wizard laughed, changing him into fire--
The sixth warrior had no soul,
His weapons were his guitar and Rock-n-Roll,
Through his music the Wizard frowned,
Blinded his magic due to the sound--
The Wizard found himself at his wishing well,
Screaming out of how he failed,
Sworn to vengeance,
But, now he dwells,
Inside the deepest hole in Hell-

About this poem:
I wrote this one 10-17-94, just barely over two months after I "turned on, tuned in, and dropped out" and went to Woodstock '94! lol Putting this in here, I thought it might put a little change of climate into some readers minds. Something wild and out of the ordinary, perhaps?

Ball Game

Take me out to the ball game
Take me out to the crowd
Give me Corona and Crackerjacks
I don't care if I never get back
Root root root for the home team
If they don't win it's a sin
For it's 1 0 4 and you're out of the whole ball game!

About this poem:
I wrote this parody of Take Me Out To The Ballgame last year when the corona virus was shutting down all sports. I remember seeing the Minnesota Twins play on TV in a bar in Minnesota and seeing cardboard cutouts of people in the stands.

War And Peace

One day; the invalid king, well, he raised his brow,
Sent off the best that he had,
To slow that army down,
Against demons, warlocks, witches, imps,
And beasts of the unknown,
Before the battle began,
It was already carved into stone,--

What stands between war and peace,
Is that love between you and me?--

A psychedelic storm,
Then the moon broke through,
Hail to the Captain!,
Was sung from the crew,
A rumble in the waters,
And, who could that be?,
It was Neptune himself!
Was the last thing they would see,--

What stands between war and peace,
Is this love between you and me?--

Thousands of years come to pass,
From the price we've paid,
What has happened to us all?
No one here would say,-
The life we live now,
You know it's only a game,
Chivalry long gone,
And everyone's to blame,--

What stands between war and peace,
Is there love between you and me?--

Wordplay Part 3

So you think that perhaps I’ve lost my ability?...
I’m stable, I’ll never lose my agility...
I’m docile, with twisted sick fragile fragility...
But seriously, I’ll twist the best that you can throw at me...

I’m fully accessible to those that can accept me...
For those that can’t, I do have some humility...
I’ll flex what seems inflexible at the moment...
For example, I suffer pondering ‘The Atonement’...

Some here have known me for quite some time now...
Most of you haven’t, ....I feel your highbrow...
It matters not either way what you think...
These wordplay words, are the last missing link....

Two for two

What do your hands hide
I am lava
every time you touch
look from under the eyelashes.
Covered with sweat
scrolls of arms and legs
we don't think about tomorrow.
We're hiding
under the comfort of dreams
fleeting hopes.
our two for two
is an oasis
with a life-giving source
we take a breath
behind a closed window
we don't need masks.
