When it Stops Turning

We creep towards our destiny
with futures bright as sun
whilst ever-present loneliness
binds us tight as one
a generation lost at sea
like many gone before
a generation’s ecstasy
veils thinly wanting more
a whirling pool of stagnant hate
of self, of world, á Dieu,
no longer trusting peace and love
our rage will see us through
watch the masses tremble, shake
see the children cry
in heritance of misery
passions, waning, die
the world floats by at fingertips
just past the range of reach
frustration with our uselessness
enthusiasm’s leech
we build, destroy, and start anew
blinded by our pride
a cyclical existence
powers our divide
we feel, at best, apart from most
at worst alone, unreal
plodding through a life at rest
with artificial zeal
we hang our hats on triumph
cry bitter at defeat
we anger hot at fortunes foul
we tangle under sheets
at road’s end for all alike
caring not for deeds
waiting is grim providence
with scythe and cloak it leads
ask we not for slipping bonds
of mortal paradigm
all we seek is living’s truth
true meanings of our time
yet struggle us all every day
driving us to dirt
what goods a life in purity
not knowing what it’s worth?
seek we not enlightenment?
haven’t we a right?
to know after years are past
end we in worlds of light?
bleak nothing lies in front of us
and hellscapes lie behind
know nothing of our future
except that we must die

Victory

Victory! Says pounding drums
Success! The trumpets blaze
Triumph! Soldiers march in time
As the masses craze
Elated with our conquest
Glinting off our guns
Enemies defeated
We thrill aloud as one
Shaking off our weary
Standing up our pride
Shooting down our fears
Forgetting all we’ve cried
The nations swell with goodwill
The anthem plays aloud
Those who fight for causes
Center every crowd
Our prayers have been answered
Our lives are whole once more
As, beaten back, the enemy
Cry trampled on their shores
An enemy of freedom
Of all that’s good and right
An enemy of opposites
Attempted scourge of light
They weep aloud at brothers lost
Of fathers dead and gone
We laugh as one at faceless foe
Cast villains in our songs
Their livelihoods go ruined
Their lands lay crisp and dead
The pride of countless ancestors
By bravery has bled
A holocaust of victory
Sweeps bloody cross the plains
Their purple mountains craters bloom
Smoke tops their amber waves
As ideas build a nation
So by ideals nations fall
When godless nations go to war
Corpses heed the call
Their men die standing shielding home
Or kinless cross the sea
They must suffer so we live
Says government’s decree
Anger boils through our veins
At injustice supposed
Anger boils as death abounds
And tears down all they’ve owned
Heaven’s light shines down on us
And fills up hist’ry’s page
We trifle not with subtleties
Unseal the Reaper’s rage!
Defeat! Howl widows reaved of hope
Destroyed! The people pain
Ruin! Senses cannot cope
And never will again

And then?

Whoever knows what was said,
in passions grasp, unruly head,
tis not to wisdom I was born,
or kindred spirit in other form,
and time will pass and play its game,
committed all,,,we end the same.
lessons learned and then begone,
just some rehearsal for another
song.

Unwarranted Redemption

I've felt that bitter, mocking, stinging cold.
I've survived miserably through desperation.
I saw around me captains of industry arise
as I declined.

but something has happened.
something new, I can feel it.
slowly gaining back momentum
dashing through my veins.

I found you.
A friend.
My beacon on the mountain
A criminal and you have pardoned me.

Now my eyes see
See through the buildings and capitalism
to the fields forever untainted by Man
I have seen the Promised Land.

But who am I
to deserve such a guarantee
the paradise that awaits foe me?
I am but a mere lamb lost in a meadow.

The Lord Bless you and Keep you
He is my shepherd and saviour
No longer am I a weakend sheep
But a mirror to reflect His love to all

Isaiah 30:18
"Yet the LORD is waiting to show you favor, and he rises to pity you; For the LORD is a God of justice: blessed are all who wait for him!"

October

OCTOBER

October’s misty mystery is shrouding autumn’s fair
Behind the morning’s muslin gauze, a carnival is there
With barrows full of apples and russet coloured trees
A silhouette is all we get, for October likes to tease

She bathes in brooks of silver rain this Goddess of the Fall
Drying off in crunching leaves that now are summer’s pall
Putting on a dress of sheaves, she’ll dance seductively
Her clothing’s slack but the clock’s gone back and it’s much to dark to see

A single shaft of sunlight before the night comes down
Illuminates her ripened lips and hair of chestnut brown
Shaken by the freshening breeze, October tries to hide
Cold suitors wait at winter’s gate, but she’ll never be a bride

October is a mother though, unspoilt by Eve’s first sin
Who else could manage hibernation and tuck tired nature in?
A dormitory of garden beds slumbers now till spring
Hedgehogs sleep where willows weep and geese are on the wing

Crux of light and darkness, October has her moods
Elusive as the elements, definition she deludes
And still she’s all around us, an omnipresent nymph
Weaving mesh across her flesh of a psychedelic tint

She courts the supernatural the night before she leaves
Pumpkins glowing on the porch, bats suspended from the eaves
We don’t know where October goes or where it is she’s been
Her prime was autumn’s golden time. Her death is Halloween

Secret Garden

SECRET GARDEN

Can I play in your secret garden?
And come amongst your furtive flowers
Let me scatter my seed in the soil of your need
Then doze in your orchard for hours

May I wander through your vegetation?
Pluck naked the fruit from your tree
When I peel back the skin, taste the ripeness within
I’ll believe that it blooms just for me

Do I have your permission to enter?
Plant my unworthy weed in your lawn
I won’t let it take root or cause nettles to shoot
Our game shall engender no spawn

Oh you are the keeper of Eden
And I am a much-privileged child
I am trusted to touch every scented rose bush
Breathe love till your petals blow wild

Journey of Love and Angels

On a cold sinful night while my heart slept
A beautiful lady into my life crept.
She talked of a journey she planned to take
Seemed a similar path I wanted to make.

She whispered to my soul, set my heart on fire,
Of this precious journey, I blazed with desire.
Take my hand I said let this journey begin
For I cannot live with sin after sin.

Then the world beckoned, drew her back
She slipped fell through the crack
With my last breath I turned to my goal
“Let’s start the journey lonesome old soul”

The journey is long, alone to the end
The path is narrow bend after bend
With gravel in my teeth and thorns at my feet
Not a fellow traveler to meet

Yet my eye is simple and my heart is still
Faith keeps me moving to paradiseville.
Reaching my goal and journey’s end
A bounty of pure peace and true friend

I know in my heart I’ve passed the test
Closed my eyes and started to rest.
Then a tap on my shoulder, when I turn to see
A beautiful child whispers to me

“You cannot rest yet” he said with regret
“You must journey back, you’re my best bet.
Burdened with fear and a heavy load
My mother is searching for the narrow road”

‘She is alone now and I fear she’ll slip
Back to the darkness that sinking ship.
Her heart cries out your name still
For she has loved you and always will”

About this poem:
A woman lost her young son; she and the man she loves take the journey from sin to the path of true Christians; she stumbles, turns back to the world; he continues alone; he ends up in heaven; meets her son; returns to help the mother (his Love) and helps her back to the narrow road so they could all be together again some day.

looking into the sky

As i look up into the sky
BIG and white the moon shinning bright
into the darkness of space stars all around shining bright
further we travel in space into the darkneess of the deep black space

Lots of stars,Mybe a comet
Or spaceship traveling to mars
Passing all the space junk as we travel
comets here there space ships here there satalittes every where

oh the joys and freedom of space to be weightless in space
to move around with such ease motionless weightless one becomes floating around in outer space
viewing are kingdom from outer space looking down on the earth as we float in space

we travel in are spaceships where we go know one knows like catching the bus we travel in space to the moon we can travel
the next planet and the next in are space capsule we will travel
where will life begin again

if man destroys this earth will we have to begin again are mission to mars other earth planets to find
is this mans destination that he has to find

statue on the beach part 2

my armour glinting in the mid day sun
cold am i motionless having no fun tetherd in the mid day sun
waiting watching having no fun
starring at the mid day sun

under the sea i will soon lay covered from the mid day sun
lapping at my feet the waves do come ready to pounce and cover me up
lapping at my feet then my knees over my head it now goes

now am lying beneath the sea
motionless covered well below the sea waiting for the new day to come
cold am i coverd up beneath the sea i lay all coverd up
watching waiting all i can do tethered waiting thats all i can do

below the ocean wave i lay waiting waiting for the new day

The scent of love

I made you want to say I love you
and all those things I chose to hear.
And nothing that I held above you,
could keep them all from within my ear

I'm sorry I made you say those things.
So sorry that you made me smile.
And to you I blamed the pain it brings
Please forgive me and let him defile

I apologize that I can't lie,
unless to say that I'm content.
I could never come to punch nor spy,
and for this fact I must lament.

I was never into hurt and rescue.
And never would I make you cower.
Tell me how else is there to reach you?
You better beat him to the shower
