JOYOUS GIFT.

A gift, wrapped in paper of brown
Makes one happy, or maybe frown
Tied with coloured, bows and ribbons
Made acceptable, because of trimming

Does this mean, only bright baubles
Attract our eyes, so they may dawdle
On a simple vision, basic perhaps dull
Gift of attraction, proof of inner goal

Lurking, hidden from immediate view
Gasp of joy could follow, if not on cue
Yet so often, we judge by outer cover
When seeking a friend, or even lover

Hidden gems, may hover all around
Watch from shadows, make no sound
So if looking, takes some extra time
It's worth the effort, looking for a sign

Lurking out of sight, special shining light
Lifting sense and emotions, timing right
From a glance, believed couldn't be so
Found true happiness, not expected foe

roads and all

well heaven knows
and heaven lies
I'm driving down this road
under stationary skies

distances are vast
I can see no end
it's easy just to cruise
it's easy to pretend

if my truck was an angel
if my truck had wings
I'd fly past the corners
this world brings

I'd fly down to Texas
just to say I did
I'd hold the world
in a coffee jar
then I'd turn the lid

but my wheels are rubber
and my truck ain't new
so I turn on the radio
and I think of you

at the end of every run
that I've ever had
there's automatic balancing
of good and bad

I don't always get it right
like I did with you
a part of me never smiles
when the sky is blue

I'm told there's a mountain
at the end of this track
I won't be needing anything
I won't be coming back

if my truck was an angel
if my truck had wings
I'd fly past the corners
this world brings

I'd fly down to Texas
just to say I did
I'd hold the world
in a coffee jar
then I'd turn the lid

but my wheels are rubber
and my truck ain't new
so I turn on the radio
and I think of you

Life

Feeling free,
No need to flee,
Life's good,
Not being misunderstood,
Seeing only good.
Life, no Longer passing me by.
seeing life, through clear eyes
No, need to cry
So lucky to feel alive,
What a great vibe.
walk with my head held high
Feeling like I’m touching the sky.
Enjoying, my new life.
birds and butterflies
roses and dandelions.
Life's like a slice of cherry pie
Leaving me feeling high.

Malala

In Swat valley in Northern Pakistan
Malala, a young female teenager
Stood against the might of the Taliban
And earned the respect of those who knew her

She opposed their girls' education ban
And spread the issue all over the world
This enraged the terrorist Taliban
Who were determined to silence this girl

They sent an assassin to murder her
And he shot a bullet right through her head
But she proved to be a tough survivor
And became even more vocal instead

For her courage and heroic action
She earned the award of a Nobel prize
This defiant female from Pakistan
Became an idol in everyone's eyes

'Mommy daddy wrote us a poem!'

Little Sara ran into the house with
her freckles and a letter
'Mommy, it's a poem from daddy!'
Mommy wipes her hands on her apron
and turns the heat down on the stove
'O dear! Sara flys into mommys arms
and mommy sits Sara on her lap and
says,'Lets read it together darling.'

To Sara and mommy,
To my two special ladies..
Sara, I miss you so much but this
war keeps dragging on. Daddy will be
home some day to hold you in his arms.
You are like sweet candy canes hanging
on my heart and the angel of my joy.
Mommy, the dreams of your kiss and love
is the strength of my heart and hope and
you are the apple of my eye. Daddy won't
be long before he is with his precious girls.
Daddy won't be long.
I miss you ladies so much.
I love you!
Daddy
Sara just sat and hugged mommy for the longest
time. Through all the tears rocking away in that
chair a cab pulls up in the pouring rain.
A knock on the door.
A man in uniform.
A big wide smile.
It's daddy!

belly dancer challenge.........

an adventurous heart has no fear
and finds itself so far but near
amidst the palace and the clan
to celebrate a worthy man
smoke and music fill the room
the mood is set for her to bloom
a bejewelled woman as if in trance
awaits the signal for her romance
a different tune ignites the air
silence depicts an amorous stare
as movement caresses the soothing beat
gently now on tender feet
mesmerising all of those who chance
to glance upon her advance
voloptuous breasts and hips that lure
into the trance of beauty pure
the belly jewel a sparkling desire
tantalising those who admire
as tempo ignites the fire within
silk and lace do now begin
to highlight the intimacy of her eyes
hidden by her passionate disguise...........

The greatest gift I got in life is I

I am paralyzed by fear
My mind stops thinking
My body stops reacting
Days go by without me noticing
I eat, I sleep, I read and sometimes I cry
I do nothing for hours, for days
I sing a song without words
Over and over to blog out thoughts
There is no one to help me
No God, no friend, no family
There never was and never will be
I am completely alone
I know I cannot do it
It is too big for me to do alone
It is too heavy for me to carry

But you are here
Deep inside me waiting for me
To surrender, to believe, to trust
My nameless, formless companion
Without ego, without needs, demands or fear
In the stillness where I stop existing
My awareness finds you waiting
To be awaken in every cell of my body
Filling it with pure love and healing energy
Then I know once again
I am safe, I am strong, I am infinite
Without limits or borders
Nothing can damage, hurt or destroy me
Fear and pain do not exist
You are I and I am you
Infinitely great and indestructible
As God of men can never be.

NEVER

NEVER forget how it feels to Love
but should it leave, remember what you have gained
Not what you have lost,
for even in life's deepest pain lies a lesson
that negates defeat.

NEVER let go of Love, it lives in you and in all others
as part of our creation
It glows within, ready to burst into flame
when kindred spirits meet & flourish
fed by feelings that create an invisible bond

NEVER can be a way of life, listen to the sound
for Never means we should not quit, it stands as firm as stone
but shows the way for us to go when judgment is uncertain.
We can think of brighter days, complete with love now found
and repeat these words to NEVER stop inspite of life's wrong turns.

For someday this NEVER could direct us to
a certain special place
where our wishes, dreams and hopes are seen
all in one smiling face.

MY DEMENTED LANDLORD

THERE"S NOTHING MORE THAT I CAN ADD, FOR HIS REASONS TO EVICT ME, ARE WITHOUT TRUTH, AND FOR HIM; THE FINAL OUTCOME SHALL BE NOTHING BUT BAD! I HAVE BEEN RAISING WONDERFUL CATS FOR SEVEN YEARS; AND IF I HAVE TO SAY GOODBYE; I SHALL FACE LIFE WITH NOTHING BUT TEARS! HE MIGHT WIN AN EVICTION; BUT IN TURN WILL LOSE HIS SOUL; FOR THE SUPREME BEING HAS SAID; IF YOU TREAT ANIMALS BADLY; YOU SHALL NEVER ENTER MY KINGDOM BUT RATHER BE CONDEMNED AND THROWN INTO THE LAND OF THE LOST; WHERE YOU SHALL SUFFER ETERNAL MISERY; AND FOREVER BE PERSECUTED AND TOSSED!

figment of imaginings

reflections on the mirror
elusive and splintered
a soul I once possessed
buried there in the prism
of brokenness
once in a while it appears
like shadows illumined
only in the dark
but it knows I am waiting
I just can't capture it
in the light
love they say is abound
and yet I haven't found one
or if it finds me, am I ready to be found?
perhaps
I really am just a figment of imaginings
maybe...
