A GOOD TALKING TO!

I was the child, now, man grown,
Reaping what so long ago was sewn,
Still striding through unending night,
Toward tomorrow, that far off pinprick of light.
Oh my comfort,
Night….Shadows reflected on the walls,
From the flickering of a candle bright,
Sound of scratching…Quill on parchment,
Echoes in the halls,
As I continue my quest of sorrow, and write,
Of the failures, the triumphs,
The humps and bumps,
Tears of happiness,
Tears of sadness,
Staining the parchment, blurring my sight,
So I see not the words,
Who will read them, who will care?
“Not many”….You answer…..
My apparition of love standing there.
“For they have their own path to follow,
Their own plough to furrow,
Their own mistakes to make,
Their own love to take or forsake.
Just be thankful, for what you had once yourself,
Stop that lonely scratching with the quill,
Put your writings where they belong on the shelf,
Then, one day when you have the need,
Take them down, reflect and read,
Maybe then you won’t feel the same,
Forgotten the pain, feel ready again,
To take your place and rejoin life’s game,
Where, there are truly no losers, or winners,
Only saints and sinners,
Depending on which way you look at it,
On which side of the fence you sit,
So…Lighten up, lessen the load,
Instead of writing all that sorrow,
Scribe yourself a brand new code”.

About this poem:
Well......Someone has to do it....lol....Ah, thought I had better put a bit more here about this one.....I imagined Dickens sitting at his desk, in his study, big empty house, and writing a rather melancholy piece with a moral of course .....xxx

THE STORIE of FAERIE GLADE

A Faerie Storie.

O'er woodland fell,
Next to the enchant'd waterfall,
In the magick Faerie glade,
where tryst twixt Unicorn and Faerie,
forever and will ever be made,
Stood Faerie with tear streak'd face,
Holding the head of her beloved Unicorn,
By his halter of magick lace.
Sad evil had invaded this hallow'd ground,
Poor dear Unicorn and Faerie,
Had this evil, found.
For, a bad man some time, past back,
Learned of how a Unicorn tear could heal,
And even from death bring back.
In case anyone tried to steal his find,
Had Hurt, defenceless Unicorn,
Until he cried and cried,
Until there were no more tears,
Poor unicorn was dry,
Then Buried Poison'd thorn in his hide.
Poor Faerie knew, if she took it out,
The poison would spill,
Kill them both, without a doubt.
Of a sudden o'er all Faerie land grew a chill.
One last kiss Faerie gave dearest Unicorn,
Then pulled it out!
On the ground fell poison thorn.
But Faerie queen all this did see,
And With a mighty effort summoned,
All the thousands of Faeries she could see,
From near and far, throughout the land.
Raised to her feet, and with all the magick, at her command,
Changed all that was done by that wicked man’s hand.
Commanded peace and happiness be once more,
Throughout all of faerie land!..........
Now go to the Enchant'd Waterfall and see,
Reflection of Unicorn and Faerie,
In each others arms, and by Queen, commanded
This is the way,
It will always, and forever be.

About this poem:
This is the very first poem I wrote about Faerie Glade, little did I know when I first posted it over 2 years ago, here, that it would spawn three more book length stories....I thought I would like to re-post it for you, I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it....

plea

the man, the man...
like Samaritan of lore, he comforts the down
turning about he sees
his loins laid bleeding on the street
all those years flash his eyes
as he cradles his son once more
and tries to keep him there

the man, the man...
on the street, within hours
speaks to the world, his neighbor
as even then, ignorant anger swirls about
"today we stand here to plead"
"calm for our communities to stand united"
"why are we doing this?"
"step forward if you wanna loose your sons"
"otherwise calm down...and go home"

the man, the man...

Rain.

Rain is the tears of God
God is crying for us
I take the all tears and throw umbrella away
tear seems like shower
It is cold
feel so cold
the tears can vanish our sadness
I feel how much we are sad by cold tears
I want someone to take all my tears
will God be smile tomorrow?
Hoping God will be smile tomorrow like sunshine and
smile for us

three special sisters

Faith hope and charity
are sisters three
meet anyone of them
heaven you see

faith is a sister
born with believing
accepts the impossible
with child like mind

faith has confidence
in our better efforts
you can do it
she softly says

hope is the other sister
full of expectation
wishes and dreams
within a real world

does not give up
refuses to be daunted
one knows that virtues
like these are heaven sent

charity she is born to love
heart full of kindness
a gentle dove
love so divine

she will endure
with patience ever strong
she is the best three
who runneth ever long

touch anyone of them
of these sisters three
and you will find
that heaven touches thee..

Flame of Kindness

Let us show esteem to each other
Let us celebrate the life
Let us value people that we meet
As we pass this way but once

May we share a word softly spoken
And encourage those who pass by
Let our lives touch each tenderly
As we pass this way but once

May we help and not hinder
Let friendship be without cost
Since they tolerate and dismiss
Let us not be a part of this

Do then good to somebody
Kindness and compassion leave
Should you ever once feel cold
Find this flame nearby for you

* * *

Life's deception with bewitching anguish,
And the reason why she is so strong,
Is that life writes in a rough handwriting
Fatal characters on her board.

And each time when I close my eyes
This I say: “You just touch my heart.
Life’s deception, but she sometimes
Dresses lie in the joys so bright.

Lift your face up to that gray sky,
Telling fortunes by moon as a guide,
Calm, you mortal, don’t ever ask
For the truth that you need not much.”

It is nice in a bird cherry blizzard
Just to think that our life is a path.
Easy girls, let them cheat, see no reason,
Easy friends, let me down - I don’t mind.

Let them fondle with word full of kindness,
Let ill tongue be as sharp as a knife, -
I have lived long prepared for what's coming,
I got ruthlessly used to what's life.

Soul is chilled when it looks up to heaven,
And no warmth emanates from stars' flame.
Whom I loved have denied and betrayed me,
Who were breath of my life left me pain.

Still I’m here, ever pushed, ever driven,
Watching dawn with a wistful smile,
On this land so close to me and dear
For everything I’m grateful to this life!

About this poem:
Another translation - this time of the poem of Russian poet Sergei Yesenin (proved a hard nut to crack, still not happy).

Kisses

I'm posting out this Valentine
to everyone today

To tell you that
I love you
for coming here
to play

By coming here
and sharing
and expressing heartfelt tunes

It is with understanding
as we travel lifes mixed hues

So today you may not
have in heart
the magic of a lover

But please dont grieve
We truly have the magic of each other.

THE WALL

Twin souls, you and me,
Separated by politics and geography,
Two shadows cast upon the same wall,
On opposite sides, that’s all.
Though it might as well be a thousand miles,
I can’t hold you, see your face or your smiles,
Your sacred tears bleed beneath the bricks,
Making me both happy and sad, one hell of a mix.
Maybe we will meet one happy day,
If we both were to dig and meet half way.....

The Gift ....(Part 3)

So now…The stars twinkled some more,
At a bit of a loss at what to do,
Talked some more……
Got together in groups,
Then….Disaster,
Whoops…….
Two stars got too close, rubbed together,
Something happened,
That would change our world forever…..
A meteor shower occurred,
There wasn’t anywhere in the heavens,
The commotion wasn’t heard….
Flashes, loud bangs and crashes and things,
Though, clever Saturn caught quite a few,
Kept them as his rings…..
Everywhere, miraculously, a fungus formed and then,
After a while of breathing mucky air,
Began to make oxygen…..
After another long age,
Evolution took hold,
And turned the page….
Some of the creatures that grew, crawled from the sea,
Their flippers turned to legs,
Some grew eyes with which to see…..
After time some learned to climb a tree,
Later lived in caves,
Learned about fire so easily….
The moon looked down on us and…..Finally,
She smiled and stopped crying,
She felt no longer on her own,
And never again will she be lonely…..
