The man I wanted to be

I look inside me,
Trying to see,
A vision of the man
I wanted to be,
With wisdom in his eyes,
You could tell he was wise,
When he was talking
there was never a lie,
And though he wasn't perfect
you could tell the man tried,
The twists and turns of life had shaped him,
And he never let it break him,
Life is hard, but he was harder,
This took him higher,faster,farther,
I open my eyes after seeing these things,
Wishing, wondering "Is that man me?"

Who you are

Have you ever felt so misunderstood?
Your complexity shrouds all your good.
Something that you can't comprehend,
So you quietly shed tears of frustration.
You cast yourself aside, hide behind your
Anguished pride.
Made some mistakes in the past, ended by love
That didn't last.
There's people all around you, but they just
Can't understand you.
A loner you have become, uncertain and always
On the run.
Don't relish in there silly ways, you have
Something they need.
The sweetest sound is not unsaid,
Hold up your weary head.
So much hatred in these times,
No matter how you try, it isn't right.
Don't suffer in silence, set your mind at ease.
Don't beat yourself down, just to please.
There will always be critics, plaguing your thoughts.
Release your ability, that is meant to be taught.
Just always remember, to be
Who you are.....

In honor of my fellow poets..

I am all so very humbled,
To be among all of those,
Whose vast talents are so displayed,
In brilliant expressions of great compose..

Our poems are words of music,
Perhaps a condensed story to unfold,
It comes from within inspired by the Almighty,
Such a glorious imagery to behold..

I ask Him every day of passing week,
To keep the music coming from within our soul,
He answers with that small still voice,
For us to keep them coming and our stories to be told..

Once upon a river .......

Every morning is the same
I cross this bridge once again
And every day a different dawn
Different colours always warm
I look to the west and all I see
Sleepy mountains and fog to be
Rising above valleys green
A panorama so serene
I look to the east and all I see
The rising sun with a beauty free
Shimmering across a river fine
I feel i have entered the sublime
Every morning it is the same
I cross this bridge once again ........

Woke up to a new world

We fell asleep in one world and woke up in another

Suddenly Disney is out of magic,
Paris is no longer romantic,
New York doesn’t stand up anymore,
The Chinese wall is no longer a fortress,
and Mecca is empty.

Hugs & kisses suddenly become weapons,
and not visiting parents and friends
becomes an act of love.

Suddenly you realize that power ,beauty
& money are worthless ,and can’t get you
The oxygen you’re fighting for .

The world continues its life and it is beautiful
It only puts humans in cages.
I think it’s sending us a message.

“You are not necessary .
The air, earth ,water and sky
without you are fine .
When you come back ,
remember that you are my guest.
Not my masters

I read this and it tore at my heart string
I wanted to share this. Author is unknown

If Only

…grace was found in an eraser,
That could scrub away the lead

…love was found upon a canvas,
White from an un-sketched hand

…beauty was found in multitudes,
That birthed paint across the land

…happiness was found in a work,
Of an art that consciously bled.

Lifter

---- IMAGE REMOVED because photobucket.com no longer allows embedded images ----
Was it self mutilation or lack of self of control
That catalyzed my desperation to separate my skin from soul
As I walk alone on this sphere, broken by love rebuilt by fear
I scream against the wind but there is no one here
I'm seeing red fading into black
My full potential I've been holding back
The devil left me in this desert to die alone
In search for wisdom I will find my way back home
As I will do my best to seek You out
No compass wheel just my will and ground
With my imagination watch me win their hearts
With Your inspiration watch me win their thoughts
But my enemy is cunning he sends his dogs to watch
I count my blessing and they remind me of my have nots
It seems the more I breathe its just the more I bleed
But I won't let them break my souls sovereignty
My vision is forward and my foot steps are secure
But how much tribulation must one man endure
On my quest for hope I stumbled upon swollen eyes
Lord have I not lived long enough to feel alive
Author of my life, the highest mountain that I'm belayed
Fill these pages with more than just my numbered day
So when I find peace and my eyes fall down like rain
Please let me stay and rest
In Your Holiness…

Morgan's Universal Rule

Do to others in kind words, deeds and actions,
what you wish others to do with you.

Do not do to others in kind words, deeds and actions,
what you wish not others to do with you.

As you are so shall you be,
As you were only the Spirit can see,
You cannot seek if you are blind,
You cannot change if you don't wish to!

In this world there is no freedom,
thou you are not a slave or in prison,
God is the only way and salvation,
If you only listen with your SpiritSoul!

I am not important and nobody,
My auto dial is set to God of Israel ,
Do not waste your words with me,
As I proclaimed these words came from HIM!

Where do I get inspiration to write these?
How can it is sound so truthfully nice?
My poems are simple with humble description,
There is a power above that is helping me earnestly!

I preach not love nor treason,
I write not what is new but a beacon,
to cast light on dark clouds and reason,
with this I end with my humble poem!

Will you join me and say. . . . . . AMEN
Once again let's say it again. . . . . . AMEN
Then last one for the OMNIPRESENT. . . . . . AMEN
And that my fans and enemies is the END

simple love

I'm just waiting
Biding my time
Like so many others
Looking for a sign
Just someone simple
That connects with me
Love a sense of humour
It exposes thee
A plain jane
Who does take care
Of body an mind
An lips that share
Strong but weak
If you know what i mean
Able to communicate
With a caring gleam
A touch as gentle
As the whispering breeze
A smile honest
Your heart does seize
Not one for glimmer
Or the glam
A simple girl
Who can understand
Its the effort we make
In the journey of two
How well you succumb
To maintain loves view
