Chrysalis

That which protects from external forces
While within new life pulses...
Metamorphosis occurring
Old to new,
Evolving
Bringing
Growth and change,
To the one that'd been trapped therein
Emerging, twisting, breaking free
Shedding the old.... old me.
Stretching forth to the rising sun
Soon.... soon.....
My time will come.

Be strong

No one can make you sad,
If you've at some point been the saddest!
No one can make you break down,
If you've already been broken!
It's just up to you,
To make yourself be bold
In the winds of change....
For you cannot be anything less
If you've been through all these!

If I

If I should die tomorrow
Weep tears of joy – not sorrow
For I will be with my Father above
Basking in his unconditional love

Walking the streets of silver and gold
I am no longer wrinkled and old
But moving easily and pain free
Do not worry about me

I am with loved ones who have gone before
Thus separated by death no more
It is so wonderful and beautiful here
You too will see it yourself my dear

We will see each other again
Live your life knowing that you too will ascend
Until then be happy and carefree
Your guardian angel is watching over thee

Look out..........

There's a hollowness inside of me
Bigger than I can be
It's searching for nourishment
To set myself free

It seeks the billowing sails
Of a yacht on an angry sea
Lunging into the voids
Of a unknown quantity

Or maybe galloping across the desert
On a steed black and fine
Searching for that lost city
Or an oasis full of wine

Climbing rock faces
Without rope or sane in hand
Then diving off them into pools
As deep as they command

Snowboarding down the mountains
Racing Avalanche and will
Mustering tenacity
To get what needs to fill ...........

~groomin ghosts~

What have you learned in the life that you live
Is it better to go or sit right where you're at
Do you think you can fly past your future in store
Or do you need some more life to get past your front door.

The world thinks they've got you all figured out
Yet they have not a clue as water fills up your cup
As their minds are too busy groomin ghosts of their past.

Gossip arena hails ovational cheer
While the darts lips and knives make your back bleed
The source isn't worth your moments stricken blue
When you come to find out loose lips about you.

As their minds are to busy groomin ghosts of their past
Walking on stilts to rise way above
The gossip to them is a push and a shove
Knocking you down a bit at a time.

It makes them feel better getting past no self love
Their darks a bit brighter when they push and they shove

They haven't a clue of what they don't see
Defence at work keeping truth held at bay~

Poetry Rodeo (Let's See If You Can Rhyme Like Me)

It takes a lot of cowboy tough to step out of a chute
Competing for a buckle and a chance to win some loot;
You scan the crowd with wary eyes, because deep down you know
Because every word and every rhyme could cost you the short-go.

Five judges watch with pen in hand and timers sit close by
It's time to start reciting, but your mouth is awful dry!
Your words spill forth to fill the room with hearty tears of laughter
While you're going for the perfect ride, to get the score you're after.

As judge's scores are tallied, you forget about your fate
Because friends are saddled up and riding through the gate
Though some may win a buckle, or take home some well earned pay
We all go home much richer in the friendships forged that day.

I'll Choose Happiness..

I have the choice today,
to be happy or sad
To wear a smile or a frown..
Bring others up or down..
I have the choice today,
to let all of the bad and negative things
that have happened to me,,
control ,take over and hurt me..
No one else has this power, except for me..
Today no one else can tell me who or what to be..
I and only I choose how laid back or productive I will be..
I and only I hold the power to choose how I live this day,
It is my choice if I choose to help someone less fortunate than I am today..
And my choice should I decide to just turn them away.,.
It is my choice today ,whether I see the sunshine, or the grey..
I am what I think..
And I think I'll choose happiness today!

~my truth~

maybe alot of you wonders why how I can smile so often! Well if you all knew half of my life you'd wonder why I still smile! I didn't for a long time, then one day I decided it's not worth livin in the past. I chose to rise above it an let it go. . . . to allow the real me to be. It's been a cobblestone road here. . .yes. Whats important is how I walk ahead, as it creates my future. :) these same thoughts are yours:) an i'm sharing some good one's to help you get off the cobblestone. . . . .
