Time and Eternity. (Sonnet)

Rejoice today! for life is short my friend,
Seize passing time like gold, whilst you are here,
Dwell in the now, but ne'er on journey's end,
Until such curtain falls, withhold your tear.

Run into natures arms of outstretched boughs,
Behold sweet woodland sounds, much joy they bring,
If still in love, love hard ! renew your vows,
Hold tight that hand, whereon you'd place a ring.

Arise my darling, may I have this dance ?
And we will waltz together round life's floor,
Our eyes transfixed, lost deep in lovers trance,
Just squeeze me close, be mine for evermore.

When life's last failing breaths are short and few,
My final fading thought will be of you !

Build Your Boat

Broken boat ashore
…Broken soul…

Broken home behind
…No one’s fault…

Broken dream
Is looking at me
In pain

…Broken me…
Trying to live again

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Build your boat.
Take it out in the Sea.

Stand the wind, the weather.
Let me see!

Let me see you dare,
You demand,

Let me see
Your beautiful expand!

About this poem:
"If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up people to collect wood and don’t assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea."

Depression

She was depressed
She had no way out
She's been through
it all..

She's been laughed
at
Put down
Run down
Used
Abused
High jacked
Jacked up

Told she could
Never

Would never:
Stack up
Measure up
Get up
Shake it off
Put it down
Turn around
Make it
Break it
Take it

Told to:
Give it up
Call it quits
Forget about it
Fall down
Stay down
Don't move
Play dead
Act dead
You're dead
Drop dead

Said she was:
Nothing
Ugly
Dumb
Stupid
Over weight
Under weight
To tall
To short
No talent
Worthless
Useless

Told to:
Go away
Stay away
Far away
Start today!

Said she was:
Walking swamp slop

Even told her the
graveyard didn't
want anything to
do with her, so
she was wasting
her time even if
she did drop dead..

BUT!!!

Somebody spoon fed
her these pack
of lies..

And she BELIEVED THEM!!!

She BELIEVED THEM!!!

That's what gives
DEPRESSION it's
power!!!

Throw away this
list of

LIES
LIES
LIES
LIES
LIES
LIES
LIES

You are the crown
of God's creation,
Mrs President!!!

Did You Know?

When I was confused
and lost in my soul..

You found me..

I was not searching
for you.. yet

You sought me out..

I was like a lost child
in the wilderness of
life..

You saw my love and my
hatred, but you were
greater that my heart..

And you captured me with
your love..

I did not know you..

Did not understand why
you would want me..

But you knew me from
a distance..

And you loved me..

Why did you comfort
the weak..

What am I that you
would take joy in
my presence..

Did you know?

Have you measured my
devotion to you..

You are more than
the stars of heaven..

I cherish the thought
of you..

I breathe your name..

I can barely say it..

I draw a breath..

And I tremble to
speak the words..

I whisper these
words..

I whisper.. my love..
my love..

THE WRECKERS LIGHT

Aye,
Thar was ghostly goin’s on,
That first anniversary night, just off the beach,
Twas wondrous to be-hold,
Yet, twas evil too, that rendered impossible, all my speech.
The ghostly lantern was blowin’ in the wind,
Thar on the great rock twas pinned,
Main light, half mile yonder had bin put out,
You could ‘ear the man on the bow shout,
Thinkin’, ….’E had depth,
Tho, the inky waters was hidin’ rocky death,
Hah….Wreckers Delight!
Fifty marines, soon to be in one ‘ell of a plight,
For twas a cargo lugger,
Not this poor bugger,
That was due this night,
That should have followed that wicked light,
Twas not seen,
This transport of fifty of the Kings Marine.
And, only heard on this ‘ere beach,
The splintrin of wood, the screams…..As they died,
As all that sailed, was armoured full,
Them fifty marines.
Couldn’t 'ave swum if they tried.
An so evry year on this damned night,
I look yonder, on the great rock shines the ghostly light,
I hear the splintrin of wood,
An the screams,
As again…..The water claims the great an’ good,
An’ I kneel an’ pray for the soul of my Da’
An’ them other forty nine marines..

Beauty…

If you’ve ever found yourself in the African bush with lion so close by that you can smell the intensely acrid smell of their urine,
Then, you’ve experienced beauty, raw thrilling and untainted, but beauty nevertheless…

If you’ve ever had the unparalleled thrill of being on top of the Dragon mountains in Southern Africa, way above the clouds below you and you’re suddenly eye to eye with an eagle, just hovering there,
Then, you’ve experienced beauty, raw thrilling and untainted, but beauty nevertheless…

If you’ve ever sat on a bench in a park, and observed little children at play, their celestial laughter rippling through the air,
Then, you’ve experienced beauty, raw thrilling and untainted, but beauty nevertheless…

If you’ve ever had the rare pleasure to be on the same wavelength of a fellow human being as they were lost in thought and contemplation, and you feel like you’ve taken a peek into their very personal and private soul,
Then, you’ve experienced beauty, raw thrilling and untainted, but beauty nevertheless…

If you’ve ever had the experience of observing a bunch of seagulls posture, squabble, bully, and squawk raucously if not melodically over a morsel of fish, their exquisite plumage absolutely hypnotizing you,
Then, you’ve experienced beauty, raw thrilling and untainted, but beauty nevertheless…

If you’ve ever had the simple and quiet pleasure of watching an elderly couple hold hands, share laughter and a tender moment between each other,
Then, you’ve experienced beauty, raw thrilling and untainted, but beauty nevertheless…

If you’ve ever been graced munificently by the universe to observe a beggar in a dirt-poor rural zone of the planet, and been able to see through the rags to the divine being shining within the ragged face,
And have been able to cross the corporeal chasm and connect ethereal soul to ethereal soul,
Then, you’ve been graced with the sublime meaning and imperturbability of universal beauty, raw thrilling and untainted, and above all untouched, and unspoilt, but beauty nevertheless…

I have found that beauty is always a door to paradise,
To peace,
To endless love,
To joy,
To the authentic being within us all, that butterfly straining to break out of its suppressive and illusional cocoon, in order to be free to roam never-ending consciousness…

In mindfulness…

"When I Die"

When I die, shed no tears for me,
as my grief and sorrow will be no more.
Blood flowing within my veins will cease,
to carry such pains to my heart's door.

What is 'LIFE' when day after day,
my greatest hope is to see it end?
All woes, aches and continual dismay,
of evils to dark to comprehend.

The dream of life with 'REAL' happiness,
finds it's place among a privileged few,
as most are at war with their daily stress,
of making ends meet just to pay debts due.

So when that six foot hole is meant for me,
don't wear black to accent your saddened frown,
just plant my body beneath a healthy tree,
and let my dust enhance it's glorious crown.

Once I'm gone from the abusive grind,
of this life's demands upon it's slaves,
I'll never again to 'REAL' joy be blind,
as Forever I'll basque in the LOVE I crave.

The LOVE of one who lived before me,
to pave the way through all rough terrain.
He took my sin with Him to His own tree,
not to be nourished, but from which to hang.

'LIFE' for those that look for Heaven's Gate,
is not found here upon earth's crust or shore.
We as 'pilgrims' patiently await our good fate,
that delivers us from sorrows forevermore!

Heart Boxes

If I could open up your heart
as I open up a box
What would I see?
What would it be?

I'd approach it just the same.
Carrying hope, anticipation,
curiosity

What might be inside....
Hmm... endless possibilities.

So,
what did I see?
what did I find?

In this lovely corner,
what I found,

.....is kind.

SOS (s/c)

Ships are like people
sailing life's ocean
battling the elements
day by day

Crossing smooth
crossing rough
sometimes weak
sometimes tough
overwhelmed by it all
life more than a squall

Can we spot
the SOS people send?
Can we see
the rockets
hit the air,
sail close by them
reach a hand out
save our soul
