WOMAN

Woman, rise up and assert your power
For generations you have been suppressed
Let the world know this is your hour
There are certain issues to be addressed

In dealing with areas of dispute
You tend to be much more tolerant
Making you more likely to find the truth
And well suited for management

You have shown in the field of education
Regardless of the area of learning
You can hold your own against men
Yet workplace equality is lacking

Woman, rise up and assert your power
For generations you have been suppressed

The Inheritance

At midday, while in half
daydream, a sentiment,
some mystic intuition,
tapped on my consciousness..
And as quickly as it
appeared it fled to
the unknown..
This voiceless thought
sank like a grain of
sand in the ocean whose
meaning I must tease
to the surface..
But, alas! I cannot
penetrate the debths
My discernment is
but a paper key in
an iron lock..
Yet, this unannounced
messenger would not
founder in the deep,
but resurrect as it
were in a multitude
of voices..voices
muffeled by our
hidden shame..
I bowed my head
and in humble
request enquired
of this inner
stirring..'Who
are the objects
of our shame?'
And out of the
debths of the
timeless deep
came the reply..
'We are futures
children wailing
for our inheritance
for it is not..'

I wish

I wish I could be a bee
I could fly all day
I wish I could be a star
and shine from afar
I wish I could be a cow
and chew some grass right now
I wish I was a hummingbird
and eat nectar and not say a word
I wish I was rich
then I would not b*tch
I wish I was hot
then I would get any woman I want
I wish I could fly
you don't have to ask why
I wish I could bring joy to the depressed
I wish I could feed all the hungry
I wish I could give free health care to all the people
I wish I could visit my family and not feel out of place
I wish I could work at a job and not care about race
I wish I could love everyone
I wish noone was lonely
I wish noone was sad
I wish everyone got along with everyone
I wish you all the happiness in the world

THE LAST UNICORN

When Mother nature slams the door,
The draught will roar,
The clouds will race,
At a breath taking pace,
The solid ground will shake,
Rock, will grind with rock, to make,
The hardest stone turn to sand,
With nowhere exempt, from land to land,
As lightning split’s the sky,
Creatures of the night, in daytime will fly,
The worldly wealth of gold will turn to lead,
The great oak will tremble and humbly bow it’s head
As the bluebells ring,
And…..The last Unicorn ……..Starts to sing!

The forgotten life...

There it lies in a corner,
That life you wished you had befriended,
That life you wished you had become more familiar with,
Lying forgotten in a corner,
Lost in tatters in some pain-filled alcove of your mind...,
Waiting, drained like an orphan who has wearied of waiting for his mother to show up,
Like some once-hopeful wind that has lost its breath,
That forgotten life...

What if..., what if, you plucked up the courage to go to that cobwebbed corner and once again dared to look at that forgotten life?
What if, what if, you opened a dialogue with it, what then?
What might stir within you?
What abandoned dreams might be resurrected?
What feelings, what hope may once again burn brightly in your hero’s chest?
What lies might you not be willing to live with anymore?
What baleful excuses might you shed like a mighty snake waking from its slumber, hungry for a new adventure?
What emotional wrinkles might you discard, as you straighten up your spine, ‘man-up’ and go get that woman/man you always longed for and invite them to travel with you for a spel?
A most amazingly magical spel, that is?
What oceans are waiting for you? What mountains, what lakes what awesome deserts?
What energies may once again be found in your somnolent psyche, what might they inspire you to begin,
Nay, to finish,
To bring forth to fruition some almost-vanished longing?
What then?
What then?

in vino veritas ...

I felt good in getting ready,
to join friends for an end of year do.
I was greeted with a sherry,
and white wine served with the fish.
and a demi with the pasta,
and a full red with the goose.
with the sweets, a devine ruby
with the Stilton was superb.
then come midnight we had bubbly,
and the hugs and the well wishes,
and the coziness of friends.

I got home about three hours
into the sparkling New Year.
and I realised I missed something,
during dinner and the funfair,
no spare thought for
the unfortunate and the suffering.
and this needed some addressing
so this note is an amendment
to repair my obvious miss.
may the world come to its senses,
and find answers to the mess
that's been created.

were we more blessed
when we had less ?

~Extra, Extra, "READ ALL ABOUT IT"~

The lights they were floating and moving about
while the cars they were flying
in their daily commutes
seven billion now as the roads ride the sky.

The sky's a conductor, not a one at the helm
chips, ya they're there, just not in a bag
telecom to transport, even to the black hole
sky's now a misprint, as we see it unfold.

A zillion million trillion texts in a day
that microwave bubble we add too, everyway
as technology shapes the direction we go
it also defines what we all need to know.

There's a movement about, there's been alot of talk
a new, generation spawned, where it's all about them
as their life's going by, at the speed of faster sound
in their travel of days, they see no one around.

................

I sit here tonight after five lager beer
and a puff of a joint, that my friend he said ....here
thinking about where this life wants to go
it's about what i see, what I don't want to know.

Brazen about what you hold in your hand
yet
from within
it's the start, of what you don't understand.

We travel this life free to subscribe
where our means meet the end
from your past, what's to hide.

As I sit here tonight after five lager beer.........

Victim I's

Many are the reasons for our
hanging heads and sighs
A litany of woes for all our
Victim I's
'He said, She said,' it's
all in the game
No need to write the list
cause they all sound the
same~

When Angels Smile

I'm not sure, but I've been
told that there is a city of
lights pressed between the
folds of eternity where paths
cross in angelic bliss
Perhaps I've dared to think
of such things as I walk
through this world so dimly
lit
A glimspe of a world of dreamy
sunshine that has transformed
the soul into a glorious rainbow
Such thoughts are fleeting to
be sure, but the thought of
engaging you on the path of
eternal wholeness inspires
me to wonder of the hidden joys
of your love
A smile is never a smile until
it is all of you and I choose
to suffer the mockery of a blind
world that I may attain to a dream
become reality..the reality that
I will meet you in the way and
experience the perfect wholeness
of the perfect you
To know the love of you in the eternal
realms
To walk hand in hand in the warmth
of everlasting joy
To stand face to face with you and
to share the joy of your being
To have my soul filled with the
loveliness of all the beauty of
you
To know the joy of angels
To know what it means..to
see angels smile~

THE WAY BETWEEN THE WORLDS

Ask this of the one who’s eye’s burn like the stars, he knows!
He has seen the rising of our sister’s sun,
The transient ghosts as they come and go,
They say, the current even chooses to go through him as it flows.

They say, He sees the flecked indigo of the Swirl with second sight,
Senses the invisible boundaries,
Charts the ever shifting colours in the Swirl, as they change and merge,
Knows, when to press on, when to hold, as he dances on the edge of light.

He let’s the eddies in the current steer his ship, solar wind fill the sail,
With such unbelievable skill,
For the edges of the current are like two sheer mountains, rubbing,
Would crush anything touching, in an instant without fail.

I’ve tried…I’ve looked and I’ve looked, but only see plain space,
Four suns…Two moons,
And our sister on the other side…..
If you look carefully, you can just about see her face.

Aye Lad…Ask him!….Maybe he will tell you of the eddies and whirls,
Opposing dimensions, the phasing of space time,
Colours….The transient ghostly Asteroids and Stars,
For He truly knows, of the way between the worlds.....
