Raqs Sharqi – Eastern Dance

Embedded image from another site

Beautiful women make entrance to the tent
Turkish, Armenian, Egyptian and Arab decent
Donned in ancient amulets and scarabs
Dark and lovely like luscious sweet carob
Adorned from head down to bare feet
Jewelry tinkling like prisms strung in pieces
Mysterious beneath sheer shimmering veils
Swirling upon soft patterned carpets
Imagery dipped in honey like serendipity
Their eyes are shadows in glimmering candlelight
Women dance with each other in private erotic play
Powerful with meaning lasting late into the night
Enticing visual mysteries in synchronicity
Moving and rehearsing in abandoned harmony
While rounded breasts jiggle and bellies sway
The air is fragrant with perfumed oils and incense
Intoxicating they deliver vibrations of secret passions
Leading to the climax they hold in mesmerizing suspense
Sensual stories told through their bodies and graceful hands
Acting out dreams of lovemaking with husbands to be one day
Eastern dance is about love's imagery learning passion and play
A way of communicating through emotions deep within body and soul
Their dancing and moving is practice for love’s erotic pleasure
For Eastern women the dance is meant to keep their marriage happy

hip hip..............

if you were here i'd share with you all that you have missed
your ears would be my sounding board of things i couldn't resist
i'd go way back when we were young and laughter filled the air
and slowly bring you through the years no moment would i spare
things that happened in my life that bought me so much joy
all the decisions that i've made turning into man from a boy
i'd go into minute detail of every amazing place i've seen
paint those pictures in your head so you may go an dream
i'd bring you up to date on all those new fangled things
and show you how to use them and the fun that it brings
i'd check on every word so you would never misunderstand
and make sure that you accepted this was not by demand
but just the normal way to share with you as if to celebrate
many a lost birthday wish on the journey of your fate.......

The Poet

You’re such an unlikely figure
I mean if looks could tell
You anything about the person
Like a book cover
doesn't tell the story
I want to get a cup of coffee
And write about you
Imagine and think about you
Oh to be a tiny ladybug
On your writing desk
To gaze upon you while you bring
All those engaging, beautiful visions
To see the expressions upon your face
The pauses, the nibble on your pen
The emotions you are feeling
The emotions you let in, then out
Expressing ancient lore
Filled with wanton love
Candle lights and tears
Love and whispers uttered
Passions, hopes and dreams
In ancient times
Oh those times gone by
I would like to look
Deep into your eyes
Scanning like the palmist
Reads the lines of a hand
Gazing until surrender
Lost in deep thought
The depth is quite amazing
One so unlikely, yet
It makes my heart sing
Reading your poetry
You relate the fantasy
Capture the fairy tales
So elegantly
You’re an anomaly
A mystery, a dream
I’m left with wonderment
You have caught my attention
And given flight to my thinking

About Writing

Embedded image from another site

I write about love and life
so that I may
taste them twice
in the moment and in retrospect.

As poets we live and breathe words
when my love reads my words
she knows I am lonely
I'm dreaming, thinking and feeling with her.

That I dream what she dreamed
wanted what she wanted
finally realizing
I want only her.

I write to give myself strength
to explore the things I'm afraid of
Maybe to be the character I sometimes am not
but with her I write about love.

Sometimes words are like tears
needing to be written down
maybe I write what I cannot say
I write differently than I speak.

Maybe all I wish to say
is that I seek true love
therefore I write
what should not be forgotten..

diana 1 (Tribute)

Many golden links in
A chain are we all
It's love that binds us
Lest we fall
Not a single link should
Go unheeded
Or we'll morn for a lost
We sorely needed
So it is when loving
Hearts take their pause
We most deeply feel
Our cherished cause
That's why we chill the
Wine at evenings sun
And toast to a beauty
Called diana 1.

My Dream

Last night I fell into a restless sleep,
soon after I’d been clearing out my fridge,
sorting what to throw away and what to keep.
I started dreaming I was walking o’er a bridge.

The path I trod soon led me to a street,
whose pavements were all packed and thronged with folk.
I was only wearing slippers on my feet.
The people stared and laughed as if that was a joke.

I saw a row of shops all in a line.
I ran toward them, tripping o’er my slippers.
And there, on a shop window, was a sign
which said, we will buy your date-expired kippers.

And as the grip of sleep began to soften,
I resolved to clear my fridge out much more often.

Back and again.........

I feel like I am walking through an old neighbour hood
The distance of time has me misunderstood
Shall I go and visit here and there
Would there be people who would love to share
I sneak a peek down an alley or two
This should be old but it's really new
So I am wary of this place that I am in
My senses highlighted has tarnished my grin
Who knows what pitfalls lay ahead
What memories rise to greet me instead
How will I respond come what may
To the words of people and their conviction today
I guess their is only one way
Charge on in and have your say
Write with vigour and with flare
Accept any comments that they may share
Let wisdom surround their critique
For every writers words are always unique...........

welcome Seeking Ginger

Welcome to the halls of the sanctuary
I'm Ancient Bullman around here
Where magic awaits your every touch
Every word and every thought.

Come and dwell with us
Bring your burden in bulks
Shed those tears and smile
You are with family and guild

New Year Hopes and Wishes. (Edited).

Last year expired to sounds of Auld Lang Syne,
The bells of Christmas past are heard no more,
A 'New Year Toast' is raised with mulled red wine,
Before December bills come through the door.

New resolutions made with fervent mind,
So sadly most are destined not to last,
And in such broken promises you'll find,
A mirrored image of a failed year passed .

Act kindly to a pauper on the street,
Is all your spare cash for the bargain sales ?
Give help to some old pensioner you meet,
Or will it be another of your fails ?

Though '21 it was a trying year,
We must dig deep...for coping skills to delve,
Farewell old year, I doubt we'll shed a tear,
I couldn't wait to hear the clock strike twelve.

I send you all good tidings with fine cheer,
Straight from the Em'rald Isle across the miles,
May all your Covid worries disappear,
And future frowns may all revert to smiles.

here for you

I walked in your shoes many years ago
I know it is an impossible win
you are my flesh and blood and so
you need to know its not a sin

I walked it alone many years past
but you have me...don't ever forget
decisions can't be made too fast
years from now you might regret

I love you so with all my heart
I don't want...can't see you fall
It is your life also I am a part
please do what's right for all

my heart is with you
whatever you do
we will make it through
please know
I will always love you!
