CHILL OUT

in the morning rush
of a daily routine
how neat it is to find
a short few moments
to sit and be still
and simply just unwind
with a music tape
playing softly
maybe in the garden
maybe in a chair
maybe rest your eyes
lighten up your cares
its not easy but
grasp a moment
and simply sigh
PHEW
uncoiling now
from stress and strain
tension and headaches
pouring rain
so take a pew
and when you do
just take a moment
to say
PHEW

Boxer versus the MMA person

What an interesting fight on the weekend
James Toney versus Couture
Who would of thought that it would happen?
Naturally you would think the boxer has more power
However the skill and use of martial arts
belongs to the MMA person
As it was shown on tv the boxer went down rather quickly
couture went to the mat
he took the boxer down
and started punching him at random
Interesting strategy
the Boxer bragged about his victories
However the boxer was not ready for this match
After three minutes into the first round
Couture had applied the choke hold on Toney
the match was over

Daniel an angel fighting for your future

---- IMAGE REMOVED because photobucket.com no longer allows embedded images ----
Friends have always been a inspiration to me
I am so very lucky to have friends beautiful like you all
People should never ignore things they should stand for
Fighting corruption for a better future for us all
At last i have got through but sadly it's cost me and my friends life,
I am quite poorly now it's time for me to go
My work is almost done now the days of sadness gone for good
It’s time for Daniel to have his angel and lots of fun
Bless you and everyone always with love and peace
Daniel angel from Cape Cornwall

About this poem:
Me and friend Dylan about four years ago was working
rebuilding a barn where asbestos was put into the walls
of the barn without us knowing it's very difficult to believe that
that some members of authority could be this evil
and try and cover there tracks by using others
telling lies they want do this again
Cornish people are proud and stand for what is right

The Red Line

The red line deep trailing down the right side in a deep rut.
So deep it touches the soul.
Pain just to move or to talk.
Fear of what others may see when looking.
No covering it must remain visible for all to see.
Questions into my personal space.
Trying to make my dignity erase.
Strength of knowing what will be.
Makes each step easy.
No doubt no hope all in their place.
For this is something time will erase.

About this poem:
I got a boo boo going down the right side of my face. Lucky me no it will not scar. I have good skin as the doctor has always said. But when I go out in public people I do not even know come and ask me questions about is it going to scar. What happened? And I love the ones that tell me it is on my face and it is about four inches long. Ummm think I know that. It now is starting to heal and hurts a little still. snowed in

For Medicinal Purposes

A little worry, a little stress
A little relief was what I sought
And so I went with my best guess
And opened the single malt I bought.

A couple jiggers and feeling better
A couple more and now I'm fine.
Nerves all soothed by texted letter
A very good evening now is mine.

And I might wake up with my head a mess
But right now I just don't give a damn.
And if I don't make sense, then I digress
I'm not as think as you drunk I am.

The good things of life...

A regal sunset or a surreal moonrise,
The cry of an exotic bird from the Amazon,
The thrilling energy of a carnivore disembowelling its prey,
The smell of ozone in the air after a thunderstorm,
A cup of strong organic coffee shared with a close friend,
Johnny Walker, Black Label,
The touch of a baby, reaching out to its brand new world,
The soft look your beloved gives you just for the hell of it,
The explosive combo of flavors of a coconut-sprinkled, sizzling-hot curry,
Mail in your CS inbox[provided its not from a damn scammer...],
A funny episode of ‘King of Queens’,
A sleek young horse in its prime,
The dew on a new-born flower,
The proud breast of a fair young maiden,
A five-point lobster in a five-star hotel,
We could endlessly go on, couldn’t we?
Why don’t you post some of your own ‘good things of life’?
Vaya con Dios...

oh thanks

I saw this blind man using a cane
probing and navigate his way
It looked so simple and easy
I kept it in mind for a rainy day

On my travels I heard people say
we have all the answers inside
God made sure you know the way
now I cannot stop my sob and cry

I have probed and pricked
sharp needles makes some darn
bloody mess and now I think
this is the final show down

help !
a band-aid ?
oh thanks

Healthcare in America

Healthcare in America - Sept 5, 2009
Jim Magee - Poet of the "Common" Man
This Dedication Needs No Explanation!!!

Healthcare in America - is really not about you
It's about them doing as little - as they can possibly do
I broke my leg - a cast and crutches? What a joke!!
It's almost easier getting all the "Pot" you want to smoke

It's all about the numbers - don't think for a moment that it's not
"And if you can't provide us with some" - then you will be forgot
I write these poems just to help - to help the people out
It's my plan top turn a murmur - into a raging shout

It's people like me who do what we can - to try to help people like you
I try to do what my spiritual CREATOR - really wants me to do
It's all about the numbers and money -
It's got nothing to do with your health
It's all about the amount and the size - of your personal wealth

"If you can't - provide us with some - IMPORTANT INSURANCE DATA"
"Good luck to you - but sorry to say-so sad, but we'll see you later"
"We're sorry you're down - and hope you get back"
"And hope for you that it's soon"
"But as for us, we've got luggage to pack"
"And a plane to catch before noon"

GOOD LUCK TO YA!

digest

in the belly of the line
peristalsis undulations
gut wrenching lamentations
emotions so hard to digest

the fullness of phrase
protrudes button
pregnant with meaning
there is life in words

and excrement too
the colon separates
balancing worth of word
from meaningless waste

Beware The PMS

Pms, what an awful thing,
It turns a woman into a screaming banshee.

Once a month, your calm lovely lady,
Turns into a monster, that is totally
Crazy.

No matter what you say, or try to do,
Your lady on PMS won't listen to you.

With a snarl on her face, and an evil grin,
She looks at you, as you lift up her chin...

And just for a second she seems to calm
Down,
As you bend down to kiss her,But she begins to Frown.

Run man run, as fast as you can,
Before she hits you with her frying pan!
