MOMMY WHAT KIND AM I

Grama what kind am I

My little grandson went out to play some friends he went to find
Very soon was back again with tears that filled his eyes
When I asked him what was wrong my gramdson he did reply
They say my kind can’t play with them
Grama What kind am I?

My heart was really breaking for my little grandson that day
I wrapped my arms around him and wiped his tears away
I thought how cruel the world could be to someone oh so small
Just because his colour was different from them all

You ask me Matthew what kind are you Ill tell you what I see
I see a little boy who looks a lot like me
Whose smile is like the sunshine and brightens up my day
Whose heart is full of laughter and loves to run and play?

You are a Métis Metthew some day you’ll be a man
Hold you head up high stand tall and proud with pride
Stand tall and proud my native grandson and never run away
Stand tall and proud like the mighty oak
Stand tall and proud with pride

Trick Of Time

Trick Of Time

High on my wall hangs that clock
whiskers twitching, tick tock, tick tock.
Like the patient face of a Buddhist cat
communicating only with what it looks at.
Unconcerned as to how many it has offended
yet many a broken heart has been mended
locked within that tick and in that tock
because of the healing power of that clock!

For the best dad a boy could ever have

I myself have a few words of wisdom to be said:

To walk an inch is sinch,
To walk a whole yard is hard,
But never give up,
Never lose faith in yourself, never,
Or you will never walk that yard.

Love your son.

About this poem:
About 9 or 10 years ago, when my son was 8 or 9, he left this hand written poem under my duvet. His mum had left a couple of years earlier and he and I were getting on with life, but it wasn't always easy.
Today is his 18th birthday. I still have his hand writtem poem kept safe and sound.
He is the best son a dad could ever have.

SEPARATION OF MARRIED.

I DO LOVE YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING IN THIS EARTH,
I GIVE MY TIME MY LOVE,MY LIFE TO THE ONE I LOVE..
I TURN MY BACK TO ALL MY FRIENDS & JUST BE WITH
YOU,

I NEVER THOUGH THAT I MAKE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE
OF MY LIFE....TO LOVE & WORSHIP YOU ...
THAT SOMEDAY MY LOVE FOR YOU IS KILLING ME.

HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO MY HEART?HEART THAT FULL OF GOODNESS
HEART THAT ONLY TO LOVING YOU IS MY MISTAKE?
I LOVE YOU..MORE THAN WORDS CAN SAY!I EVEN DON'T CARE
WHAT OTHER PEOPLE SAY..JUST..ALL I KNEW IS I ADORE YOU..
SEPARATION???DO YOU FEEL THE PAIN? OR..YOU ENJOY ..YOU USE
ME TO COVER YOUR ANGER TO ANOTHER LOVE...LOVE THAT YOU
HAVE EXPERIENCE ...NOW YOU BRING TO MY HEART & YOU MAKE ME
CRY AS WHAT YOU CRIED ON THE PAST..

DARLING...IT'S NOT ME THE ONE WHO MADE YOU CRY..
I LOVE YOU & I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT YOU..
I OFFERED YOU MY LIFE..JUST TO SHOW MY LOVE TO YOU..
SEPARATION IS NOT MY WAY OF BEING FORGET THE ONE
I LOVE..

LEAVING ME IF YOU ARE HAPPY FOR THIS..
BUT REMEMBER..WHEN YOU ARE FAILED TO THE LOVE
YOU HAVE CHOOSE ..I'LL ALWAYS HERE FOR YOU..
YOU ARE THE LOVE THAT ..GOD..GIVE TO ME..

CHILDREN'S..

What is the meaning of Love?
Love is the key of every parent that's why we
wanted to get married & have our children,
Child is the most precious gift that GOD has given to us.

But why we let this gift gone suddenly just b-cos of
our own satisfaction?
Getting married & get divorce for just a misunderstanding?
we are the one who choose our life..why we let our child suffer
for our own fault?

We don't know what our child feel about parent's who leave
in different home, but deep in they're inner heart they
cry..cry for help..but afraid to voice out..Child of
god ..do we like them to have a happy life or empty heart
that lead them to a Broken mind & heart!!

Think first my friend about leaving our love one's just
b-cos of narrow minded thinking..love your family
& think about the future..they are waiting for US..!!

GRANDDAUGHTER

GRANDDAUGHTER

As my eyes gaze upon you granddaughter
I see the radiance beauty with in your smile
You are like a delicate rose bud
Just waiting for the moment for the petals to open
You are like a beautiful butterfly fluttering your wings
You are like a young sparrow ready to fly
The mother keeps you with in the nest
Because the mother sparrow always knows best
Do not be in a hurry as most young people are
Follow your dreams reach for the stars
Travel the world near and far
God gave you talent don’t waste this gift
Let the world see the beauty
With the stroke of your brush
You will Adventure out when the time is right
Than you can spread your wings
My granddaughter and the world will see
The rose bud as it opens its delicate petals
As you become the beautiful rose
I knew that you would be
For ever and always loved

Colours Of Coincidence

Colours Of Coincidence

The fierceness of the sudden downpour
had pedestrians scurrying for the nearest door,
and under trees, children screaming,
childish screams from the confines of adult coats
pulled snugly over young heads, already steaming.
I stood at my favoured window upstairs
my daughter Jennifer close by my side
arms tight round my waist protecting me
from the storm outside.
As suddenly as the hailstones had made a show
There appeared in front of us a double rainbow
with vivid colours as bright as Spring,
“Such a sight is a beautiful thing!”
Said a voice at my side in a whispery sound,
then she spoke the colours right out loud
as if somehow I couldn’t see
for a moment there was only Jennifer and me.
Yet, something in the tone of what she said
had me thinking of my parents, long since dead.
My daughter spoke to me again, “Dad do you know
the sun and rain don’t make a double rainbow
my Nan and Granddad make them glow!”
The colours brightened briefly then faded
leaving four moist eyes staring, not jaded!

A Poet's Personal Prayer

A Poet’s Personal Prayer

I pray that all suffering comes to an end
regardless of where those in pain live,
to God in prayer my sincere words I send
to all in distress my sympathy I give.

I pray that all wrongdoers get caught
and are granted their just rewards,
in the spirit our fathers’ war was fought
for the peaceful world we move towards.

I pray that all good words are set free
from the private library in my mind,
allowing my peers a new creation to see
my elusive poem of a different kind!

Listen To your Child

Listen to you child

Have you ever stopped to listen?
To what your child has too say
Or are you always just to busy
That’s why they run away
They go in search of friendship
Where some one takes the time
To listen to their inner thoughts
And what is on their minds
What if the path they travel?
Is the path to drugs and death?
Will you then have the time to listen?
When you lay them within the earth to rest
So why not take the time
From your oh so busy day
And sit and listen as to
What your child would like to say

My Last Will and Testament

My last will and Testament

I leave to my children not money or material things
But Love, Honor, Trust, and Respect, and Pride
For these are the true values in life
May they always trust in the Lord?
And each day they awaken to a new dawn
They give thanks for all that they have received
May they always respect mother earth for all she
Has provide for them
May there hearts be filled with love for each other
These are my most valuable things in life
I now leave these things in there hands to pass on
To the next generation with love
