A Lighted Road

It is almost time
for school you see.
A little quiet will
come in the the
house for me.
A little bit brighter
you will be.
For friends you will
gain day by day.
A new one each step
of the way.

Happy Aniversary

Jan & Ken was a couple from the uk
Who decided one day
On an adventure they would go
They acquired two mopeds although they were slow
To Australia they would ride
Their peers comments were snide
People thought these two we're mad
They were expected to return beaten and sad
So off they went on their quest
To reach Australia they'd do their best
Ken led the way on his moped that day
Their excitement was great and sure was true
The adventure began and their bond grew
Across many countries they travelled because
They wanted to come to a place called Aus
On arrival Jan looked in awe
As she thought to paradise shed opened the door
They travelled about the Aussie coast
To see just where they liked the most
Before long they were up north east
Ken in the mines the job he liked the least
Ken worked hard to blasting underground
Whilst up there then suddenly they found
Jans stomach began to form a mound
Not long after a girl was born
They decided they would name her Claire
She was a pretty little thing small and fair
So then there was three
Jan and Ken had began their own family tree
They travelled again to Brissy they went
A stalk flew in and a boy it sent
They named him Heath
He was a big lad, in birth he gave Jan all sorts of grief
So now there was four, the tree had grown
This was predicted by a palmist they'd shown
That their prediction was right
They had some sort of strange insight
They also had an old truck
So In the back of it they snuck
A crib a bed and a kitchen kit
The two kids bloody loved it
Could sleep and eat and travel around
Untill finally Adelaide was the place they found
Lived in a house on Stanford street
It was right  in town it's here they'd meet
New friends and foes
They'd experience some highs and lows
Let's buy a house they said one day
So they did just that and we're on their way
Off to Hackham they went
On a house their money they spent
the kids would school and grow up there
Lots of fun and good time they shared
As Ken & Jan worked on their plan
To build something only a tenacious man can
They bought some land in a paradise cove
Called Pt Willunga it's here they'd move
They  built a mansion to be precise
A house with three levels would suffice
Its was a mission for Jan and Ken
A job so large would of broke many men
Here again people sni**ered and said
They're mad they'll both end up dead
But failure was not a word they knew
And sure enough a house and garden grew
Claire and Heath loved it there
They ran amok without a care
So after all doubters along the way
This is what they could say
Here we are next to the beach
In a great house to most out of reach
After all these things married they never
Now was time to seal their bond forever
So off they went to seal their bond
To live by the seaside in a place they are so fond

Happy Anniversary Mom n Dad love you both xxx

He Who Would Be King

From Princess-Diana genes
though William and Kate
son George makes his way
into the world of royalty
bringing to life dreams
each Commoner dreams
of the world a better place.

His cries are the cries of nations
asking darkness to yield to light
a morsel to be fed, water to sip
swaddling clothes, safe and tight
growing pains shared, by love surrounded
playful moments in which to delight
future to live, safe, well-grounded.

So much weight placed upon
shoulders of our gentle youth
to right woeful wrongs yet done
spread hope, promise of truth
innocence becomes its purveyor
wears precious prince-charming smile
silver-spooned, wrapped in lace.

Welcome George Alexander Louis.
In world history, make your place .

My mama getting older

Cover my eyes
Cover my ears
tell me this is a lie
my mama getting older
it a lot on my shoulders
as I walk close by her side
her hair turn gray
but she still fun in lots of ways

Cover my eyes
Cover my ears
tell me this is a lie
her walk a little off
but her skin still feel so soft
and she still got that
sparkle in her eyes,

Cover my eyes
Cover my ears
tell me this is a lie
as I lay down and to sleep
I pray my mama
safe God will keep
as the years seem to go flying by,

Cover my eyes
Cover my ears
tell me this is a lie
that as I am growing older
I seem to be growing bolder
our mothers need us now
more than ever
so from her I don't want to hear
I am getting older my dear,

Cover my eyes
Cover my eyes
tell me this is a lie

To my Sis happy birthday

To my sis
My first memory consists
Of you and I playing in the sun
At Stamford St and having fun
As kids we had such great times
You were helpful, loving and kind
Memories of days at the beach
As we ran around smiles on us each
Collecting shells in the sand
These I still hold precious in my hand
Of course we argued and such
But really not all that much
We then grew to be in our teens
Still as close as we'd always been
We ran amok and caused trouble
When out together the trouble was double
Times together experiencing new things
When looking back happiness it brings
So many good times but we also had bad
There were times that were pretty sad
But I always knew you my sis
Would be there for me no matter what the risk
Then we entered the twenties
In this time there was smiles a plenty
I remember when will was born
I sat there waiting in worry till dawn
You had such a hard time then
I saw his little face that's when
I looked at you as a mum
As a mum your just as fun
You have a special warmth and way
With your kids I have to say
Then along came Beth and Nick
With them thank god you wernt so sick
You and James are great together
You've both been there for me and I'll be thankful forever
You've also made me proud
To be Will Nick and Beth's uncle this I say aloud
Will such a caring lad so strong
As a big brother he belongs
Nick so cheeky and smooth
With out a doubt he's one cool dude
Beth our little princess
So pretty she melts me with her cuteness
James Will Nick and Beth
To have my Sis your truly blessed
In closing I'll just say
I look forward to many more days
Creating memories together
Cos your my Sis stuck with me forever
Happy birthday
Love ya bro x

Precious In His Eyes

What's in a name?
Some say it tells
your nationality.
I say it is the gift
that your mother
gave you beside life.
It is a special
present that is
just for you.
Some may not like
the wrapping it
came in or the
present itself.
God does not make
mistakes your name
is precious to HIM.
Just think of that
the next time you
say i do not like
my name.

Family

Mother,
your boy is crying
alone in the darkness,
his tears run fast and hard.
How sad his expression,
emptied,
isolated,
powerless.

Father,
your son falters
from shame,
the game you both played
had no winners.
Rules were unfair,
short on sympathy
and high with anger.

Sister,
your brother regrets
the guilt of fights,
no light in our relationship,
no one talks,
only mocks.
We live light years apart.

About this poem:
My broken family from many years ago right up to the present. It still affects me very much. We are all so far apart. It hurts greatly.

Sir, don't turn the light off

There is a quiet storm emerging
and the shadow in the corner
weeps.
Your brother sits
his tears in tatters,
batter up.
Sister, look at him,
our past continues to leak.
These thoughts haunt,
taunt,
and the stillness rapes my heart.

Perfect person

body in the grip of tearing pain,
Remember to breath, count, mind closed in for those few seconds.

Heavy, full feeling, pain and pressure, and suddenly..

You slide out and the pain is gone,
A small body is placed on my chest, wet and warm,
I look down and there is a cloud of soft hair,
A face and body of an angel with the smallest hands,
You move and seem to curl up into me and my heart swells.

You are the perfect person, and the wonder is you were made
Inside me.

You are MY perfect person and i will protect you always,
My gift.

Our snow white rose

she lays in the coffin on a pillow of silk,
The rich, deep brown wood like a frame, the cream silk stitched inside adds a softness, a soft pillow completes the bed.

Dark brown long hair flows over the pillow and frames the face of this angel, her skin looks like porclin and white as snow,
Her lips and cheeks rosy and the long lashes lay forever now on her cheek, eyes closed and ready for her long sleep.

Hands closed over her chest as if in prayer, the smell of vanilla, the scent she always used floating around her in a soft cloud.

Beautiful and at rest, a picture of perfection never to grow older, like a rose cut when it is in full bloom and displayed for the finest art works, then captured for all time for the world to see and remember.

Our rose, our snow white, our sister, our angel.
