Words are important

Words are important
They roll off our tongue
Words are shared by you
And every one

Words show who we are
So tell no lies
To your wives
Men

Words are important
Women enjoy
I love you words
Or a little gossip
I have heard

Words are important
With children as well
They want to be told good job
Or in fight, a few cuss words may come out
If mom not there to hear
They just might

Words in the business world
After you both have spoken
It end in a hand shake
And you walk away in hopes
With a deal in the make

Words are important
With the elderly too
They want to be talk to with respect
And not have to say
Child I am your mama
As they grab you around the neck

Words are important
To men as well
Sometimes it the men
Who say the least but just
Use there eyes to tell
You they love you,
And will you become my bride

Words are important
As they roll off our lips
So be careful what you say
As the preacher say
The world might just end ,,,,,,today

THE WALLS HAVE EARS

September 10, 1982

These walls have cracked and settled, for many many years

Often I have heard it said, that every wall has ears

I know these walls have witnessed, each joy and tragedy

They know the lies and love, within this family

These walls contain a history in nail holes and glue

In layers of paint and paper, so long ago were new

These walls have worn the marks of artistic tiny hands

Fingerprints and pencil lead, lipstick, dirt, and crayons

These walls have served as shelter for keeping out the rain

They've guarded every smile and frown, well within its frame

These walls have made a home for all who stepped inside

A certain warmth and comfort, laced with so much pride

The cracks have grown wider...one last look around

We say good-bye with sadness as mournful echoes sound

About this poem:
As you can see, this poem was written many years ago. I am revisiting the echoes of the past today and sharing a couple of them with you. Those old poems show me my growth and are chapters of my life. We can all relate to the dust that has collected and sometimes I learn new things from mine.

grow in the Lord.
You carry on your
life to your family

you today i want
you to stay.
For i will miss
you my dear you

and mother in Christ.
Your feelings are
so sincere to me
i just do not want
you to disappear.

My Dear Sister

I finally have a few moments alone
here I spend them writing a poem on my phone.
Need to get out of here, I haven't been alone in weeks,
It's time to go off on my own and peace is what I seek.
This life I now live, I'm surrounded by stress,
weighed down by others disaster, it's a complete mess.
I'm just now getting my life back together, why unload on me
but misery always did love company and you're to selfish to see.
When will you open your eyes to the real world
atleast see your potential and be that special girl..
that I know you are..my sister
but right now a freaking blister.
It's called tough love and you need it now more than ever
if I keep picking you up, you'll not be clever.
I love you so much but you make me so mad
and when you're mean to my nephew, it makes me sad.
You have a son, it's time to be responsible,
stop procastinating, you know you are capable.
These are things we've said to your face,
and you push him off on others, don't respect their space.
I always wish you the best but wish you would see the light
just wondering when you lost your fight?
If it's your ex who broke you, ya gotta move on,
you're the one doubting yourself and he is gone.
I just don't know what else I can do,
I think for the rest, it's all up to you.

Baldness is Beautiful

Men look at themselves
in the mirror they
do not want to admit
that their hair is
starting to disappear.
Each and every day
they see their hair
disappearing that way.
To them i say just
shave it bald, let
it be for having no
hair will set you free.

Its not time

If i could turn what i never had
Into fertile ground
Would the fruits of my labour
Be the sweetest ever found

Just one step a very small step
Into the direction i want you to be
Like old mate trying to break that horse
Dedication with no fee

Come walk this path beside me
Let us both understand
Lets share what we have joyously
On your journey to be a man

Together we can build
A relationship that will last
For when you have a family
You can delve into your past

Hopefully you will see
The energy i have spent
Nurturing what we have
For never will i relent

Come walk this path with me
Let us both understand
Lets share what we have joyously
On your journey to be a man

Sometimes in life I feel,,,,

Sometimes in life I feel,,,
like Iam wearing my shoes to big
and in my life I feeling
a little fatigued

Sometimes in life I feel,,,
like Iam wearing my socks
to high and again about
my life Iam asking why

Sometimes in life I feel,,,
like Iam wearing my pants
to long and there draging
the floor in my life I cant take
it any more

Sometime in life I feel,,,
like when Iam wearing
my shirt and the sleeves
are to tight
and everything in life
is just not right

Sometimes in life I feel,,,
like my hair is combed the wrong way
I question about my life and
is it happy or just other
sad day

Sometimes in life I feel,,,
my glasses dont fit right
and please Go help me in
directing my life

Sometime I feel like,,,
my heart beating to fast
when will all this sadness past

Sometimes in life I feel like,,,
the room is to small
but I know God
is able to help us all,
even if

Sometimes in life I feel,,,

WHERE ???

Segregated section
set apart from one
another division
among the old
and young.
Groups of 50
different yet so
familiar to each
other.
FAMILY
FRIENDS
Both in one yet i
am by the side no
place to call my
very own
which group is mine
NONE
no one like me
just me successful
i shift from one
group to another
LINGERLY
LOOKING
For a place
that i can
BELONG.
Where is that?
When is that?
Who knows the
ANSWER?

DADDY

In morning light
I wake with tears.
The days they pass
they turn to years.
The cruelty of life is true
Time never stops for
the mourner's sake
it only marches on and
take take take.
On the border of insanity
how much more can i take?
I am told that time heals all wounds
yet i am plagued by painful sorrow
each day is worse then the tomorrow.
How could i miss you anymore
then i do today i will
always miss each and every way
I am filled with so much sorrow
I will miss you more tomorrow.
