Round the edges of my thoughts are crystal hopes
Of love sprinkled down in twinkling motes
Carried to the loveless in bright coloured totes
On waves of ecstasy tuned musical notes

When dreaming above the sky one night
The Earth beneath was lit up so bright
It looked like a star filled fairy light
Each soul was hugging soul close tight

So into the future on tiptoes I stole
Peeked gently into every person’s soul
Each was a love lit spherical bowl
Shining, bright and completely whole.

So I say to you, do not despair
If you cannot for today become a pair
For there is rainbow magic around in the air
Waiting to be claimed by those who dare

Broken boat ashore
…Broken soul…

Broken home behind
…No one’s fault…

Broken dream
Is looking at me
In pain

Trying to live again

Will summer's love transcend
Or will it fade like the last red pale rose.
Clinging to the bush..
Destined to die a slow and lonely death..

Can summer's love reach beyond the supple green branches
full of life and hope
To the crumpled dying burnt orange
leaves lying on the ground..

Can summer love survive ..
The cold dreary November rain..
Can summer love linger
Through autumn's dreary night..

Will the heady scent that lingered
through summer's majestic reign,
Fly away with the birds, or will it remain,
And see us through autumn,s cold dark past.
And can it last..

I see you smiling and I embrace your smile.
I see you looking thoughtful and have no doubt its true.
I see you swimming and I want to tred the waves beside you
I see you laughing and I want to be the one to make you joyous.
I see sad eyes and it draws me to you.
I see you smile and yet your eyes speak volumes.
I see your creativity and I rejoice at your talent.
I see you looking sad and I want to hold you and tell you I understand.
I see your face on my screen and I try to look into your kindly soul.
I want to know you intimately and all your virtues to extoll...
I see and yet I don't see. I look and I want to believe.
My eyes strain all the better to you perceive.
A flat screen is not your actual countenance.
Perhaps I only see what I want to see.
Perhaps the image is not even itself real.
Perhaps my illusion is great and my imagination naive.
Perhaps my thoughts are reflected back from the screen.
Perhaps my perception is that of a refracted
Image as I view you from an alternate plane of thought.
Perhaps you do not exist and maybe never did.
Perhaps my visions are only visual rantings of a deluded mind.
Perhaps i will hold you and you will disappear in a cloud of vapor
As with the woman in my dreams for a long,long time now.

persecution, and death for you,

If I am just a dead man on a
stick, then where is your hope
in the land of the living?~
If I said, 'I am the way, the truth,
and the life, then how my friend have
you found hope in another?'~
If I can create loaves and fishes
out of nothing then who do you
serve that can do more?~
If I said, 'He who believes in me
shall never die, then where else
have you wandered to find the words
of life?~
Men will disappoint, but as I told
you before I will say again..

It was now time for the frivolous gulls to play with my thoughts,
They put on a phantasmagoric display of irreverence as they laughed at my insecurities,
Scorned my lack of faith,
And generally heaped great insults at my penchant for taking life way too seriously,
Well, what else could one expect from gulls...???

Next it was a hapless sand dollar’s turn to be presented with my thoughts,
The poor thing gasped and nearly fainted from the weight,
‘Help,’ it croaked as it pleaded for the Surf to claim it back and send it on a long furlough...

Next a group of Dolphins came to sport with me,
‘Hello, what have we here? A human’s thoughts, hhhmmm’, was the only sound that emanated from them as they studied my writings in the sand,
‘We shall convene a council and let you know our recommendations dear Surf, bye for now...’ as they dove beneath the waves gracefully...

Suddenly, I heard a great roar and a frightful gale overcame the placid sea,
As Poseidon himself rose in all his splendour from the immense depths,
‘Who dares disturb me’, he thundered as the sun was blackened and ten tempests arose simultaneously, to dance and cavort and to pay homage to their grand master,
Thunder and lightning joined in the awe-full array,
Almost wetting myself from fear, I meekly pointed to my thoughts in the sand,
‘Harrumph’, came from his throat as he studied the writing,
‘You’ll have my input anon’, he growled as he sank into his beloved waters’ nether parts...

Well, I waited breathlessly,
As the great and kind and gentle Seer prepared herself to give me some feedback...

‘Do not mind what happens to you...’, she intoned as she politely bade me farewell...

A thousand steps
along a crooked fence
broken boards
shattered dreams
rusty nail
carving in my jeans
a small creek
flowing underneath
horses stop
to take a drink
a thousand steps
along a crooked fence
mended boards
in the field
of dreams
a small scratch
in my worn out
blue jeans.

I am so astounded how my 2 little lines
have got such a reaction not just from
one or two or even a handful of poets
here on the corner but from everybody

I am so deeply touched by the

poetry that was created
poets who created them

this little challenge has brought us to a different level, far more
important then friends and family but has brought us on a level
of solidarity, unity.
2 little lines and so many, oh so many brilliant inspired poetry that was created from this challange.
