Our first kiss

Striking lightening
this love forever pines
away drifting in a desert oasis
an angel's voice sweetly sings
so sweet my unforgettable dream

Inside this you are darling
shining brightest of all stars
liquid silver shivering
the moon begins to weep
starlight crystals winking droplets fall
love you are each one

A beautiful memory
touching so deeply
that i will never forget
as long as i live,
the very first kiss
joining lips breathtaking
with you my love complete

Belly Dance (quite the challenge)

For my working out routine
On bellydancing I am keen!
Can I swivel, can I sway?
Yes, I've got that part, okay.

'Tis my arms that need follow
or this dance shall ring too hollow.
Graceful, lithe and smooth...
I'll eventually find that groove.

I'll strive to keep at it, yes!
Working hard to do my best.
As I'm moving, I do wonder
Should my man come in from yonder
Will he glance at my dance,
will it put him in a trance?

Oh, dear, I do fear!
This distraction I did ponder,
it has made me twirl asunder.
Now in vain's my dream so dear
For I've fallen on my rear....

About this poem:
On my recent trip back from the U.S., I did manage to bring back my Bellydance workout DVD, my portable DVD player & even another voltage converter...
So this challenge is quite timely --& I've managed to get to just the start of the arm & hand movements... & the ending on this poem is fictional(I hope..)

HOURS

Embedded image from another site

The hours spent with her
are like stones that build a city
they lead to meadows fertile and green
house to house, a road in between...

Hours spent cuddling with promises made
clouds out of trickling rain
spun of lovely erotic music
hours freeing me of eternal pain...

Our love is a tapestry of minutes and hours
souls touching in soothing tone
blending together our longings fulfilled
hours with her such as I have never known!

Heart Boxes

If I could open up your heart
as I open up a box
What would I see?
What would it be?

I'd approach it just the same.
Carrying hope, anticipation,
curiosity

What might be inside....
Hmm... endless possibilities.

So,
what did I see?
what did I find?

In this lovely corner,
what I found,

.....is kind.

About this poem:
I believe (to quote Cafe), "Kindness is the crown jewel of character".

This simplistic box of words is dedicated to all the conveyors/givers of kindness I've found here & elsewhere on the internet...

Thanks a million...

SOS (s/c)

Ships are like people
sailing life's ocean
battling the elements
day by day

Crossing smooth
crossing rough
sometimes weak
sometimes tough
overwhelmed by it all
life more than a squall

Can we spot
the SOS people send?
Can we see
the rockets
hit the air,
sail close by them
reach a hand out
save our soul

I cry your tears

You could make me cry
If I found you weeping
In the night
You could unleash loves
Tears if you're to hungry
To speak of your need
If the cold and damp has
Pinched your flesh in pain
If war had frightened you
And no strong man can
Save
If you look to the heavens
Through eyes glazed with
Tears
And your heart pleads to God
If you feel ashamed that you
Have been broken so low
So crushed
So hopeless
Hang on
For I shall feed your broken
Flesh with golden apples
Your frail body shall I clothe
With a kings robe
Your spirit I shall encourage
With the hope of heaven
For you are worth more than
all the stars of heaven
And in your ears shall I whisper
The love of my heart..forever.

Never tell an older woman..

Never tell an older women what I'm
about to tell you
That men long deeply for that feminine
touch in the way they've learned to do
Never let on that her experienced eyes
can see through your very soul
Never second guess until all her stories told
Never let the magazines, the media, and
the press know she squeezed tears from
your doubtful eyes that poured across
her breasts
Never let the sun know what the the moon
has held in trust
That the love of an older woman is not a
choice but a must..

Beware O ye gallant knights..
For there is a maiden who dwells
among us in the shadows..
Perhaps you've heard of her midnight
exploits and of her rebellious activities
spurning the authority of the king..the
King himself!
Yes, my humble subjects, you might
catch a glimpse of her on some foggy
night riding that black stallion wearing
nothing but waist length hair blowing in
the wind..
She' a rebel all right perhaps not fit
for the kingdom yet we have not seen
the likes of her since that nine year old stole
the kings crown..
Any information leading to her capture
will win you a Mac Donalds gift certificate
for one Happy meal. Bravo!

Feeling Blue

Today I feel no joy
Nothing but a void
Where has she gone
I feel like this has been going on to long
My head hurts
My soul cries
I feel like I’ve died
I’ve cried and cried
My eyes are dry
when I close my eyes tight
I can see a light
I know I can’t walk towards that light
No,not tonight
I have to fight with all my might
I just want to sleep tonight
I’m so tired
My mind goes round and round
I feel like a clown
God
Please don’t let me drown

But to me

I am very fond of birds, but to me,
the dawn chorus is a euphemism
for a loud cacophony of tweeting,
regardless of what species they might be.

I like art when it is skilful, but to me,
the Mona Lisa is a picture of
a woman who just sits there looking smug,
and holds but not a trace of mystery.

I love music when it’s good, but to me,
Imagine is as corny as can be.
The whiteness of John Lennon and that room
lend it absolutely no profundity.

It’s not that I am soulless, but to me,
it seems we see what we are told to see.
