Why did you go You left me all alone My heart is shattered to pieces I love you so I raised you like you were my own How am I supposed to live without you I can’t think clearly My brain in a frozen fog You are missed greatly You my dear little brother you forever are my best friend There will never be another My body aches My head so heavy I shed tears for us all day and night I hope to sleep tonight We know that will never happen I watched you go We were sitting there talking and Then God came to take you home My heart beats slow My head hangs low I walk through life feeling stabbing pains I miss and love you so much XXX

About this poem:
You were so weary God put his arms around you You gently slipped away That’s the day you were taking to your new home while holding Gods hands You didn’t go alone a part of me went too Never good bye Always I’ll see you later!
Gathered one behind one they came in a herd throughout the village wagon wheels heard, the clanging of pots the clinging of tin staring I was in bewilderment when I noticed him.
They searched the fields for borrowed land they settled down gathered in camp, daily I watched infatuated by them no" I tell a lie, I was with him.
Just like the others he laughed and danced in the night thoughts of him chased me followed him I did, to keep him in sight. Unnoticed I watched like a lurker in the bush, unable to control my burning lust.
He bathed in the lake watching again unseen by him fantasies crossing my mind as my eyes bore into his skin.
With a blink from my eye he was gone from the lake my heart skipped a beat when I heard the twig break, there he stood naked with eyes as black as coal he see's and upon me frees my gypsy soul.
The wagon wheels tins and pots we heard come in daylight, yet not a sound to be heard when they left in the dead of the night. Regret? or feel shame? how could I not at tall instead I'm forever grateful to the gypsy who answered my call.

About this poem:
Today I was reminded of an old love song which then reminded me of an old poem I once wrote here years ago, my oh my the similarities, and here was me thinking I had written it coming from nowhere. Funny how things impact our lives without us really knowing it.... Mills & boom have a lot to answer for too I'm sure.
Suddenly the world stood still Silence spread across the land Not even the song of a bird trill Every peep and movement banned
A feared darkness spread over all Inhabitants tucked in their abodes Not wanting company coming to call Afraid that the darkness would implode
At first desiring for all to be normal To get back to the way things were But were things really abnormal And a permanent change about to occur
For out of the darkness good things came Bravery – kindness – caring – new friends Supporting others – not knowing their name For no doubt the World had transcend
Within the blood-red nature of this rose, Runs sap of life - without impediment, A scarlet ruffle, in the sunshine grows, Amidst the thorns of our bewilderment, That blooms in Spring, before the Winter snows, Banish Autumn, and the flowers' raiment, To Time;- as long forgotten love affairs;- Her billets-doux, the wind takes unawares.
Headlights shine on rain slicken roads Dotted lines and yellow ribbons glow Staying between them steady as she goes Mile after mile going all night The darkness has only been growing My thoughts are weighing me down Waiting to see you again When I find my way back home In a quiet country where knowing When we will be together again I’ve been gone a long, long time Drifting from one life to another Picking up after all the broken lies Shattered dreams in fields gone by As helpless now as I am somehow You have always saved me a seat Your table overflowing fruits of love Shared in the harvest gained from above Maybe, maybe we have something Created like we had the first time When we fell down and laughed In the tall green grasses of late spring And somewhere in between found love

About this poem:
This poem is about hoping to discover young love again.
Life is great. Oh no its not. You have not seen or wish you forgot. Not just me it's reality you just don't tell. Just because it's safe to do so they say. Bite the hand that feeds will not succeed. Said priest to altar boy in the basement. Amen
I love the internet Have been coming here to get what I wanted to get Halloween and Christmas fortune cookies, Rap snacks, Herr's Deep Dish Curls 45 records I could give a whirl Sharing my writings on here But some troll made it clear Even here you are not as safe as it seems We'll do stuff to you that will make you want to scream So I was forced to change my password and then forgot Should have written it down, and now I'm hot I'm mcradloff who has to use daradloff instead But at least the new password is still in my head!
10 years that sure has been a long time now I'm alone but I'm not sad anymore. My heart has grown my mind has lived and knows that I am someone I always wanted to be for sure. I feel now I am like a river that's been living for years but I'm just that bit that goes to the shore. 10 years yes it's been a wild ride with you and even though we are not together anymore we are friends till the end of the world And I'm taking my new steps to find my peace that I've always needed to be cured. I've always thought being alone was sadness and I tip my hat to the days with you that made me feel like I was nailed to the floor. I'm glad you're still my friend and I hope we both find another love for each we live we laugh we learn.

About this poem:
This is about my ex-wife we found each other on this site we was together for 10 years our love bloomed even with bumps in the road but we mutually called it quits because we knew we wasn't meant to be.
On the second level, merchants' homes and shops arrayed, here were homes, of richer bearing, belonging to the more powerful, mini palaces, with minarets adorning their heads, of purest gold, the scents of the Orient, here they did waft on the air, intoxicating. Each scent mingled with the next, inducing peace, a gentle narcotic, Listen, mighty ones, the sounds of trade ever singing, these mini palaces had indoor bathing facilities for the inhabitants, beautiful mini gardens, behind these dwellings, such beauty.
Now look, see in your mind's eye, level three, the communal gardens, they were lush, green areas, surrounded by Kaleidoscopic colour, there were shapes and descriptions, of all kinds of exotic plants, they seemed, painted onto this scene, by a master's hands. so skillfully crafted, these gardens of love, peaceful to the mind, there were trees of mighty girth, lifting their many arms in praise of the Gods, there were secluded, hidden areas, those areas for lovers to be left alone, indeed, I, as your Bard, I tell you, all desires were catered for.
On the fourth level, homes for the palace staff, grandiose buildings, virtual palaces, as close as could be to the merchant's homes in style, from golden window casings, the Badicha plain could be viewed complete, the inhabitants blessed, the splendour of love's dreams theirs. In dwellings fit for mighty kings, they lived out their lives. within your minds, know that all knew love and joy within Alahsar, These homes had larger bathing areas within, sounds of joy did ever sound within each dwelling, happy people.
Lords and Ladies, lift up your horns to the splendour that is Alahsar, to that most beautiful jewel, under a low, midnight sun, on level five, the king's palace and its vast gardens stand-alone, the great golden glory, of he, known only as the golden king. Lift up your horns, all you who hearken to my words, drink the blessed mead and in your hearts, ever, Alahsar remember, In one mighty cry may our voices be heard, "Glory And Honour!!!"
Oh, golden king, your mighty kingdom lives, Look down mighty king, on all that is yours, your glorious name through ancient tales remembered, in infamy or glory, this tale shall tell. We look back, into an ancient world, long forgotten, the golden dream of Alahsar facing its greatest trial, now, hearken close my Lords and Ladies, while my tale unfolds, come to the greatest wonder, Alahsar.
To Be Continued..........
