2023

Another year is under way
already two months almost gone
I still have four days left to go for this month
I booked a trip to Hawaii
Other than that I played a lot of video games
Ate out at various restaurants
Played with my cell phone a lot
Spending most of it on Youtube
A little on Facebook, and a little more on Tictok
My favorite youtube clip right now is Rude Budda on SNL
My favorite Tictok speech is on buying her bath water
What?
There sure must be a lot of lonely men out there
A lot!

How Do You Do

I guess you could say I write lines of a few
And there might be rhymes of a word or two
And while passing the time and I will say how do you do

I don't know why I write
It's just there like day and night
I don't know what I'll say It's just there then gone away

I know I'll never write like a pro
I'll never have that poetic flow
But even so this you knew once again I would say how do you do

Red Hat

Take off your red hat
shake off those shoes
we both know that
there's nothing left to lose

If I should tell you
while we swing and sway
I feel forever new
my blues just gone away

Meet me by the river
in the evening sun
there'll be time to quiver
before the day is done

And before its midnight
you'll promise not to go
and I'll know its just right
when we tie that bow

Take off your red hat
shake off those shoes
we both know that
there's nothing left to lose

Respect you? Respect me, too.

Give respect, where respect is due.
And honour me, as I honour you.
Don’t love me, yet publicly shame me;
Don’t make me feel less than I am.
I shouldn’t have to say these words,
But maybe your love’s a sham.

I’m sorry if what I did ‘hurt’ you,
I never meant to at all.
Unintentionally, I may have offended,
But don’t rebuke me with such gall.
The ego is what feels the bruises;
No real pain was evident.
I love you though I am imperfect,
So to hurt you was not my intent.

Give respect, where respect is due.
And honour me, as I honour you.
The depth of our love will be the clue,
If you love me as I love you.

Special Friend

For a very special friend
One of the nicest thing in my life
Is my friendship with you and even if we don't have a lot of time to spend with each other
I want you to always know
How much i appreciate you
And our friendship

Star In Our Own Show

Listen closely and you will hear
The most important message of all
A key to the dreams you hold so dear
An escape from the sweltering thrall

The subtle signs you’ve been missing
Processing your thoughts to no ends
All along what you’ve been dismissing
Living alone in a world just pretends

Before saying anything come to a stop
Explore the depths of your feelings
For in an instant an idea might pop
A new approach for healthy healings

Discover first what you need so clearly
What anyone else truly needs to know
What any of us really want so dearly
To become the star in our own show

Arguments

Opinions clash,
Words like swords clash,
Hearts become cold,
Friendships grow old.

Different views collide,
Hopes and dreams divide,
Harmony is lost,
At what great cost?

Disagreement, a bitter pill,
Yet it can be overcome still,
With patience, respect, and care,
New understanding we can share.
