guilty

Do you feel guilty for being in and out of relationships when you have a very close and dear friend who cannot get in one?

woman w/ boyfriend

What do you think?

Would you respect a woman who has a boyfriend....even if he is away in another city and she is inviting you back to her house to help her "clean" her house?

She was a great woman...short...and cute...with a great personality...who wanted to provide me with a nipple to drink from.

But, she had a boyfriend.

Do you respect she has a boyfriend and tell her to go home by herself?

For you women, do you respect he has a girlfriend and tell him to go home by himself?

even though....

she/he makes your juices flow?

Spring at last

The spring equinox was on the 20th, our clocks sprang forward today and the sun is shining. Spring has sprung, the grass is riz, I wonder where the birdies is?

This always feels far more the start of the year to me than the first of January. So what am I going to do with this year?

Resolutions:

1) spend more time in real life than on CS.
2) grow up
3) (insert resolution here)

Settling, or growing up?

When you’re a kid, love is a fire bomb. It shakes the world. She was 16, a giggler with long blonde hair and the kind of figure that suddenly emerges from puppy fat and turns every boy in the area into a cartoon character. Boyooong! wow

When you marry it’s serious, grown-up, family-building love. Forever stuff. It burns like a steady fire, with occasional flares, but sometimes – the fire goes out. No-one’s fault but you both want flames. heart beating

The next time round, chances are she has kids already. The fire burns for the two joined families, but the kids get the seat nearest the fire. Sometimes you have to give up your seat to them. purple heart

Central heating looks good. No firebombs, open flames, upheavals, uncertainties, quarrels, there’s warmth instead of fire. You like being together, like each other’s friends, want the same things for the future.

Settling, yes, settling down. My fire-building days are over. heart1

CS has an opinion on everything, but probably not on this. tip hat

Nice guys

I just tried to post to Biff's blog about nice guys and it vanished confused

So what if men are happy with good company and want to extend that long term, is it bad? Do women want to be messed around? confused

The girl's side of getting ready

Getting ready for that first meeting, half-mocking yourself, half-hoping. He looks nice, he makes you laugh, if nothing else it will be fun. Nerve-wracking, but fun, even if there’s nothing more. But what if there is? The music plays in the background, builds the mood, makes you dance as you get ready, feeling the tingle build.

You’re slightly nervous, so you put on too much makeup, and an expressionless doll stares back out the mirror. Nope. Tone it down. Wayyy down.

Which lippy? The natural, the vampy dark one? But if he hates lippy, the vampy dark one will be a disaster. Go for the natural.

Scent: throat, nape of the neck, wrists. You grin at your reflection and impulsively add a dab at the backs of your knees. Who knows, he could be tracking it down ...

The third outfit you try on is the one. Wow! HOT. Do the twirl – yup. Work it, work it . . .

Damn, wish I had a date tonight! For all of you getting ready to go out, far too busy to read this blog, you look FAB. Have a brilliant time – and don’t forget to tell us all about it!

7-day journal of a newbie

Day one:
Window shopping.
Loads of e-mails from random guys.

Day two:
Hours answering all e-mails.
Felling exhausted.
What am I doing here?

Day three:
Found the blogs, but couldn't post.
doh
Feeling like a stalker, secretly watching.
Learned about scammers.

Day four:
Wrote to a nice guy I liked. Feeling hopeful.
Checked my mailbox 398 times. No reply.
Blocked a few scammers.

Day five:
Still no reply. Clearly, he is not interested.
Struggling with my feelings to not write again.
Dignity lost the battle.

Day six:
Learned to live with rejection.
The flow of e-mails decreased to a bearable pace.
Empty mailbox.
What am I doing here?

Day seven:
Officially promoted to a CS citizen.
Time to post.

A Very Pleasant Evening

I went dancing with my sister and her husband last night. I don’t really like dancing but we do this once every six weeks or so and as it was my turn to drive home, I ‘had’ to go. We arrived late with just on three hours of dancing left which pleased me.grin

I suppose you’re going to ask if I met somebody. Well, yes and no. That is yes, I met somebody new and no, she is not my dream girl. But we spent a very pleasant evening together. So much so that I took her phone number; she definitely merits another date or two before she goes back home.conversing

Whaat!! Another one going home? shock

Yes, she lives in one of the Northern provinces and is visiting her brother and his wife for four weeks. I was lucky enough to catch her on the third day of her visit.yay

Not quite a looker and one or two kilos more than what I would have preferred (almost cuddly) and a she dances worse than I do; read that as bad but she dresses to her body and definitely not somebody to be ashamed of. She turned out to be very good company and considerate too. When she discovered that I was on minerals only, she switched to it as well.thumbs up

After the first dance I kept her for another and she never left my side again. At some stage, while dancing, I tugged her by her smallish love-handles for a few seconds to pull her closer to me and she smiled at me, so at the very least there are some promises of more to come.dance

It was a glorious wind still summer night and we spent some time sitting on the veranda. If I did not have to drive my sister home we would have pushed off to a quieter place. wine

Before the dance I did not want to go there and afterwards I did not want to go home. Good evenings always end too quickly.sigh
