A recent event got me wondering what must be going on behind the scenes here. I am now imagining a frenzy of private messages hurtling back and forth, discrediting enemies and attempting to form alliances. What actually gets posted is probably but a tiny glimpse of the full picture. Obscure accusations that no one understands, apart from those directly involved, seem to appear on a regular basis. I say obscure, but perhaps it’s just me that finds them so, maybe everyone else knows what they are about.

It might be a good idea to add an extra feature to the site; a separate section, increasing the options for expressing our thoughts. We already have the Forum and Blogs, what we need now is a Washing Dirty Laundry In Public section.

I have a question for all plus-sized women. As a man who honestly prefers bbws over petite women, I do notice that when a profile says "plus-sized", the photos sometimes appear older from years ago or cropped from the neck down. Why do I see this so often with plus-sized women ?

I do understand that many men are looking for barbie dolls, I get that. However for us men who are looking for a relationship with a plus-sided lady, could I ask some of you to post recent photos / not be afraid to show your body ? ( I say that with respect, as a man who simply wants to see a photo of a possible love interest. )

Should you believe everything that's written in the profiles ...or take it with a pinch of salt?

Actually I don't know if they celebrate it here, there aren't many gingers in the south of Spain, I may be the only one in my small town. But if they do celebrate it, I really missed an opportunity

Mind you there's a nasty bug going round. And in a world-wide poll on kissing the Spanish didn't come out near the top.

But still.

I never make a fuss about big days like Christmas, Easter, Valentine’s Day and the likes. To me it is just a commercialized moneymaking racket and the real meanings of these days have long been forgotten.

Oh, I’ll join the fun if there is a party somewhere and if not, I normally book a table somewhere well in advance. But I never waste my money on expensive cards and BS that end up in the dustbin a week later. It is the same with Guy Fawkes Day. I'm not upset with my money and won't set it alight. When my children were still young, I used to buy a few fancy rockets just to see the awe in their faces but that was a long time ago.

I don’t know what is happening this year; maybe I’m going bonkers in my old days. Where I normally book a table at the more average places, I booked a table at one of the more expensive places. I never eat seafood when I eat out, yet I selected a place that specializes in seafood. I normally buy the first and the best Valentine cards but this year I spent about thirty minutes browsing fancy Valentine cards and ended up buying what probably was the most expensive card in the shop.

All because of a certain woman from Gauteng who happens to like seafood and who I probably won’t see again after tomorrow. So, it is not even an investment for the future. Why am I trying so hard to impress her? And the worst of it is that she cannot be impressed by any of this. If I entertain her at home and treat her on take-away fish and chips, wrapped in newspaper, she’d be happy too. She’s easily the least demanding woman I met in my life.

And before you tell me I’m in love; I’m not. Yorkie still steal my thoughts too often; not as often as before but she’s still somewhere there.

Your hands touch, you both smile, you lean towards each other and kiss, just a little one that turns into a mind blowing snog.

I see the woman I'm with, a summer dress, see through in the sunlight, her hair shining, her lips red, her smile infectious, the warmth of her kiss, the soft skin on her hands, her nails manicured to perfection, she wears the flower I picked in her hair, she is beautiful, she is happy.......

You can be with anyone you want, maybe a crush here on CS, your picnic basket can have anything your heart and stomach desires.

For some complicated and unfair reasons, I can't be with the one I love for a lifetime . It hurts, it sucks but things happen for a reason. Maybe it's meant to be...just not forever.

So I found out about a speed-dating thing about a half hour drive away and for all nationalities, not just Spanish (the organiser is Dutch) and the first had about a dozen pitch up and the second had twenty and the third is coming up. All are 'mature singles' and numbers are kept approximately even.

I should go, right? Time and petrol and a small fee ... and the theory is we all know within minutes of meeting someone whether there's a spark or not, that's got to be better than facing a whole date and planning how to escape as quickly and politely as possible.

Has anyone done it, pros and cons?

In the past, I have written a blog or even possibly blogs about love and what is it. As I am listening to past radio episodes, a prominent Father says that love is something that can run out of a person. He essentially, from my understanding says, that once you love one person, you run out of love after that and it is difficult to give out love again....if not impossible.

In the past, I believe that many, including myself with the original post and comments and remarks maybe touched on love and its characteristics....but maybe not love itself. This Father describes as a sort of energy....a real thing. He also refers to God as love.


Well...

we have a lot of unrest today

along with a lot of divorce.



Just some speculation.

It is rare to go more than a couple weeks or so without someone posting a blog with that title (or something similar).

Typically, the disgruntled blogger then launches into now-familiar gripes...


"No one on this site is real!"

"All my mail comes from scammers!"

"I try to mail/flower women/men with decent sounding profiles...
I'm ignored.
Or blocked."

Am I saying those things don't happen?
of course not!

Yes, this site attracts scammers like ants to a picnic!

No doubt about it.

So picnics attract ants.
Does that mean you quit enjoying picnics?
I think NOT!

Just keep the scammers in perspective.
Think of them as the ants at the CS picnic.

Some ignored.
Some not interested because...

Some started talking...moved on...
