our life together i thought would last
but you never let go of your past
i made you feel that you belong
no matter what you had done wrong

at one stage we were really tight
but then you just gave up the fight
the pain the guilt and the shame
ate you up like a burning flame

you closed your heart not to share
you showed me that you didnt care
for what was i to think and do
when i gave my heart and soul to you

I thought about the rain yesterday.

Dreams are deferred as I am,
thrown to the wind and scattered like rain,
floating for another day, another lifetime.

What if a dog was called a cat?
Would dr seuss of still included the hat?

What if a rainbow was really meant to be called a turd?
Would poopy still be used as a word?

These what ifs are making me crazy.
Twisting my brain an trying to phaze me.
Let me have a moment of peace.
Maybe it would help all this confusion to cease?
