Remember me though I'm far away, and even if it is bounded by hills, mountains and even oceans, especially when you are at the height of your happiness.

I was a kid when I turned on the television.
Seen sparklies, songs, and was amazed with a dancing decision.
Use to sing along, and wear that red jacket.
Use to try to get my mom to buy me the glove, instead I got a magnet.
Stuck it to the fridge, and as time grew.
So did I, but I just knew.
Some day I was going to forget all the positive stuff.
Some day I was going to think to myself, I've had enough.
Those days came and gone.
Till one day you sang one certain song.
Today I watched the passing of a great entertainer.
Today I lived the blessing of a great person of human nature.
There will always be people that are selfish.
There will always be people that are devilish.
There are people who can't find a positive thing to say.
There are people who would rather provide hate to each day.
But there even more that you have inspired.
There are many that will remember you, an your history will be desired.
You came out with many ways to help people.
Even though some have lost track of this, an now they tingle.
Tingling from watching a life that is not lost.
But from remembering a life that now energizes you like NOS.
Sure I can say I forgot how to look at myself in the mirrior.
Sure I can admit sometimes that brings fear.
But as you stated in one particular song that inspired me to change.
That song will always be embedded in my brain.
Many others probally have their favorite songs, or memories as well.
Today is the day that the heavens fell.
To provide you steps for a easy moon walk.
For myself learned a long time ago, and this is more then just a talk.
My birthday was today, but today I watched something on TV.
I watched your ceramony on channel 23.
Today a human was not lost.
But today great music was lost at a great cost.
From the Jackson Five, to a solo artist.
Thank you MJ for allowing us to be a part of this.
A part of the memories, the songs, the tribute.
Thankyou for sharing your life with us from the debute.

About this poem:
I wrote this after watching the tribute to Michael Jackson. Because I think no matter how anyone rethinks it. Either that being positive or negative. I don't actually think there is a single soul alive, that has not smiled at least once because of this person. I myself can recall smiling when I was a kid, and I was amazed at how he did the moon walk..

The Voice
The crooning on the wireless came when I was a child
then forever in my heart the voice was tenderly filed.
As my youth grew, a need for the voice grew with me
caressing my soul where only devotion could ever be.
When first I fell in love the voice gave love a grace
escorting us in melody to our secret honeymoon place.
It echoed my great joy when news of a new birth came
then shared in the process in finding our girl a name.
My child spent her teething with the voice in her ear,
and as Winter’s eerie wind blew took away her fear.
It numbed my pain on parting when nobody could win
reminding me, if a family splits, there’s no greater sin!
The voice slowed my blood as my heart oozed with ache
stitching together the cracks, lest they snap and break.
It brought me back to sanity when true love was found,
confirming it would be better, the second time around!
Today it doesn’t matter what I’m feeling deep inside
the crooning will be there, to help my blues subside.
Though the legend never dies no life has any choice,
the body for the voice is dead, long live the voice!

The Poet Writer
The poet writer tries to tell his truth to mankind
though not from thought yet from his haunting mind.
Not in the prose of a story, but remaining within a tale
that turned an inner dream into a deadly inward gale.
Fed by devils and demons with madness as their goal
his imagination leading to a deep sigh within his soul.
Lurking on every page this lost genius that I now know
this dreamer within a dream, this poet Edgar Allen Poe!

The Killing Of A Dove
Fashioned to enhance all that is beauty in life
carved gently by the greatest sculpture’s knife
this enigmatic creation draughted from above,
this woman prepared softly and made for love.
Soon tiptoeing in virtue before she naively ran
in youthful trust, into a treachery called man!
But when one man touched her innocent mind
his white office kept her young spirit confined.
For his peace she flew under a clandestine sky
until his rank caused waves she couldn’t defy.
Passed from that ‘top man’ to his kith n’ kin
their torrid affair was kept secret, well within,
by a younger sibling born with a socialite lust
in a political arena groomed once, then thrust
to wage war on antagonists who commit crime
then, to silence a beauty of the most sublime!
Who was assassinated in bed while still asleep
so that her diary’s secrets in death she keep.
Now, buried in an earthy nest of eternal love
lie flightless feathery tresses of a silent dove!

A Princess Rests
A princess kneels before her God
asking forgiveness for the hounds
on earth where she has not long trod
for selfish acts that know no bounds!
To satisfy a tabloid's editorial hack
bloodsuckers pursue two to a pommel
on the saddle of society's insipid back
chasing Diana to the end of her tunnel!
Now hyenas and jackels everywhere
hang their scavenging heads in shame
while the jungle drums still rumble here
those artful animals can hold no blame!
So, near God's feet a princess rests
in innocence dying before her time
free at last from life's parasitic pests
in death forgiving all peoples crime!
Today who will admit as to the blame
of this unprecedented murderous deed
should all society not feel the shame
would it be, had we not felt a need?

Sarah smiled
Her eyes were downcast
And she told a story
While her heart beat faster
And he listened
Patiently at first
and with tremendous gesture
He knelt beside her
She said:
"Truth lives like shades of autumn
Awaiting spring
Dawn's lovliest hours
Which winter brings
"She cried
Summer's fateful blossom
For she knows
The hours will come to a close
"And she lay her head down
Upon a breath of cold
For she knows
In time she will again regrow"
There he smiled
Wiped a tear from her cheek
And thought how beautiful
She is when she's weak
And she said:
"I am that moment of truth
Sleeps inside my heart
The blossom
Whose love awaits the spring inside you
"Do you understand?"
And he said:
"Yes."
