Shooting Star

Glittering silver
shooting star arches the sky
disappearing fast

Cool Waters

deep is the water of the lagoon
filled with many kinds of things
the more you look the more you see
reflected clouds floating in the water

a host of wondrous plants on the banks
little fish darting hither and tither
tall reeds are casting mottled shadows
deep down a big catfish lies in ambush

the cool waters a pure bliss to watch
rippling waves setting off flashes
different colours glint and shatter
like light beams hitting coloured shards

the tranquillity of this magical place
calls out to me beckoning me closer
I lay on the grassy bank trailing a hand
in the soft water and feel I am restored

keep this place secret just for us to share
come here whenever the outside world is too much
here a blissful peace awaits to bathe you
to bring comfort and soothe away the daily pains

Earth Spirits

November 4, 2007

Subtle shape shifters, spirits of water magic,
kin of the wind since time was very young.
The secrets of the ancients, known to earth and sky,
praised by human voices - earth spirit song.

Each bird, and every creature to crawl or fly,
speaks in its own way to share this grand tale.
The magic that welcomes every dawn with a sigh,
parting two worlds through a thin misty veil.

Spirits of thriving vine and wise grandfather tree -
spirits of the meadows, marshlands and field.
Mountain spirits whisper to virgin lakes and streams,
worlds unto themselves, untouched and concealed.

Deep caves, high cliffs and spirits of thundering surf,
carry forth mist where plump blackberries grow.
Earth spirits of root, leaf, bark and fertile soil,
entwined in sacred rhythm, life's unending flow.

Spirits of cloud, of equal seasons and weather,
touch every living thing, each day and night.
They turn the crisp pages of history's making;
the journey awaiting each of us to write.

About this poem:
Inspired by my trip to Ireland in 2006. I could feel the life in everything, everywhere. Such an inspiring journey. I now have a way to revisit without the cost. It's called GoogleEarth.com
Enjoy!~

Crooked Fence

A thousand steps
walking a crooked fence
steered by magnetic fields
from Fermilab to CERN
as Tevatron yields
to the more powerful
Large Hadron Collider
to find the God particle
universe’s explanation:
why Big-Bang-created matter
has mass and ability to coalesce?

Without Higgs boson
no matter, as we know it,
no chemistry,
no biology,
no people.

A thousand steps
walking a crooked fence
still trying to understand:
why me?
as I accelerate
toward destiny.

Sunrise

As the sun slowly crests the horizon
Life stirs, the world awakens
You can feel the earth move beneath your feet
As if slow rhythmic breathing
And as you lay your ear to the ground
You can almost hear a faint heartbeat
It is then you feel one with the earth
As you surrender to the peace of the morning

Sharing the Nature... In A bed of Roses........

I walk through the garden; to see what there is to see and to smell
on this warm summer’s day, whoops it is only spring but warm weather has sprung in
to smell the flowers, so nice and pretty full of color and full of life it is
That God has raised to bloom whenever.

In the middle, of the day the gloom and glisten like a diamond
Of this garden of gold, I see the glory of the earth and know I
Stood in this spot one, time before when it was a garden of eve to see a,
Single red stem rose, but a pink one will do
The rose means so many things, with to receive one is more
From the ones you receive on your wedding day, or even to say I love you
To the one you get on Valentine’s Day, expressing the true love
But this single rose standing here today, means so much of God’s love to the world
Represents the love God gave to me as to you as well and this is earth.

From the love He gave, I have learn to share with others
When they were planted it was that day, I remembered who taught me this
To love the flowers and to give, reminds me of the true glory to shine on
Each and every day, I will share my flowers of gold with you my friend
So when you pass this garden of gold, you will only think of me…… and,
Remember the love that this rose holds forever between me and you….

Her name is "AweTUMN"

I step into the freshness of her cooling breath,
as my skin absorbs the essence of her purified air.
This seasonal change that brings sacrificial death,
to another Summer that faithfully brings her here.

The trees bow to her arrival in magnificent display,
through the gifts of their foliage to her that they turn.
To her annual pilgrimage call, the trees willingly pay,
their tribute through fiery colors that appear to burn.

This beautiful season of Natures elegant, formal dress,
like a Bride preparing to meet her handsome Groom,
brings forth her beauty, our eyes to lovingly caress,
as she glories in her 'Awe', evening, morn and noon.

Her name is "AweTUMN"

Some Summer Eve

Take a beachside stroll on a starlit night
Under canopy of a silver moon
Walking along with your eyes gleaming bright
Thinking of a good harvest coming soon

Given to me these long days of summer
When many fragrant flowers fill the fields
All around the boathouse lights will hummer
Thousands of hungry moths with shiny shields

Gently the tall grasses bend and quiver
Rolling along like waves of golden grain
Standing near sparkling waters deliver
Brightly burning fires ringed in stones remain

Wonder a warm night just to sit and gaze
For all the beauty of life does amaze

Orchid (haiku)

Softly the rain falls
coating the orchid in dew
its buds glistening

Night So Bright

Night so bright, it is like middle of day
Full moon bathing all in her silvery light
moonbeams making a staircase to the clouds
stars so close you could reach out for one

Shadows and moonlight meet and blend together
the darkness fading as the rays light it up
all the planets shinning as the orbit the sun
magical mysterious night full of sultry promise

Times like this heal and soothe, completing us
there is beauty in the smallest of things, look
gaze around and ponder, let the moon work her magic
filling you with her mythical translucent silvery light
